It's a show that's worth watching, but don't go in with much in the way of expectations. Quote:

And I just finished Den-O. This was a great series, and I think Ryotarou might take Eiji's place as my favorite Rider. He grew more than Eiji did in my opinion. But man this was a great ending. Still have no idea what the hell purpose Kai served, but the fact that Airi has apperantly remembered this whole time is cool. And now to watch the Trilogy movies :lol

Starting in the Den-O and (about 5 minutes of) Decade movie, Ryotaro starts being played by the kid who was young Ryotaro in the new Den-O movies because his original actor wanted to move on to other things.
Additionally, only one of the Trilogy movies is about New Den-O. Episode Blue is New Den-O, Episode Red is about Zeronos and Episode Yellow is about Diend (from Decade). But it is better to watch The Final Countdown before the Trilogy movies. |

Lucker Clover is the best thing to happen in 555. It's kind of like Hibiki, but less painful. To Locke, yes, the Ryuki ending does the reset button the Japanese love to do, but that still does not mean the series was pointless. In fact, I'm more disappointed with the ending now than I was ten years ago because I did not know how much that ending is used in Japanese shows at the time. BTW, not related to shows, but I ordered the OOO belt an coin pack from AmiAmi earlier. I cannot wait to get it. Quote:

Don't believe the Wataru haters out there. He has some of the strongest development out of any of the riders, especially since Agito, as he goes from a whimp that hates who he is into a man who wants to protect those around him. He grows as a character, which is something ALL series should be doing. He is not an asshole like Decade. He is not an idiot like Shinji. He is just a shut in who learns to be outgoing. In fact, Kiva is completely full of great character development for nearly every main character. There are some issues plot wise, but the characters more than make up for it. |
I find it funny since I'm one of the ones who defended Kiva and was willing to stick up for the series as a whole. Now I'm labeled as a hater.
But there is no excusing Wataru. I found him dull to watch. He and Haruto are two examples of extremes. Where Haruto grew and evolved so slowly it was difficult to notice and hard to tell, Wataru just...Changed. One episode he was crying in his tub like a bitch, the next he was suddenly more of a man than King and didn't take shit from no one. It was jarring, it was contrived, it was boring. |
