I've been playing Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- mostly, but looking forward to picking up Resident Evil Revelations 2 today after class. |
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
I was fearing Frenzied Deviljho, especially with how insane he is in MH3U but he doesn't seem too bad here. But at this point, it just seems the game has been introducing a lot of mechanics I could have used earlier like Frenzy supression and resistance. It seemed like I was fighting tons of Monsters with frenzy in low rank but only when I have to fight 3 frenzied monsters do i get these items. But they are a cool game mechanic. You know I was not expecting Apex Seregios to be honest. I thought I was going to fight Gore/ Shagaru magala again or something and that those were scaring the Seregios away. But nope it is this crazy insane monster that's huge. Although I had Mega buffs and meals layered so it only took me maybe 20 minutes. Stupid Kushla Daora. Such a disappointing fight for being the next "major" story closure. |
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire pretty much dominates my 2DS as of right now. But I hate the fact that you have to win 50 battles at the Battle Maison just so you can rebattle Wally! Really?! It's too hard!!!

So I picked up FF Type 0 today.
It's not a bad game, it does transition a bit weirdly considering that it was a PSP game that was ported over to next gen consoles, but for the most part it plays fine the battle system is neat and kinda reminds me of FF13's. This game has a ton of callbacks to other FF Games though, story isn't bad from what I've seen either and I like that it's in an actual fantasy world setting albeit with a bit of steampunky elements. The 15 demo is still downloading so I haven't had chance to play it yet. |
I'm playing DBZ Buu's Fury.

First impressions of FFXV are a positive one, though I can't help but feel that this is Square Enix trying to do Monster Hunter...

Not enjoying my replay through Bioshock Infinite as much as I thought I would and it's because of what I know is coming. That damn hospital and the bugleboy jump-scare.
I fucking hate jump-scares. |
I went and started replaying one of my favorite 3D Sonic games, SA2. I've made some good progress on Hero story, i'm up to Pumpkin hill.
Unlike most people i like all the gameplay styles so i look forward to the Knuckles and Rouge levels and the Tails and Eggman levels. I went inside the Chao garden for the first time in years and man oh man was that a blast from the past, i remember spending hours on end on my chao Ryu and Speed. Maybe i play around with them some more. |
I made a new Skyrim character which means new backstory. Her name is Yunalynn. She was born on Summerset Isle and grew in the ranks of the Thalmor. Learning destruction magics and conjuration. Learning how to root out the teachings of Talos. Eventually becoming a full Justicar at the age of twenty. She'd conduct raids through the Empire, imprisoning those who failed to abide by the White-Gold Concordant. But, four years into her duty, one of the Justicars in her group attempted killing a Nord child who tried to stop them from taking their father away for hiding Talos worshippers. Yunalynn blocked the blade but was knocked cold by the Thalmor Wizard with them.
When she woke up she was in rags, chained, and before the Thalmor High Council. She'd learned the child was slaughtered along with the entire village. She thought that punishment enough but the Thalmor are anything if not ruthless to traitors. Using magicka they blinded her and slipped her into Skyrim unnoticed. Where she was to be executed in Helgen beside Ulfric Stormcloak as an example. I did the main story first this time instead of waiting. And tonight I bought the Dawnguard DLC. I wish I'd bought it sooner. Being a Vampire Lord is fun as hell, and in the Soul Cairn I picked up the Conjuration spell for the undead horse. Which is freaking awesome. Screw Shadowmere, I have a purple GhostRider horse. |
Finished Wind Waker.
Probably going to jump back into AC: Rogue soon now that I finally got my 360 fixed. And I'm still slowly, slowly making my way through the campaigns in Halo: MCC. Finished The Library in CE yesterday with a really surprising amount of ease considering I was on Legendary. |
Is it just me or is GTA 5 for PS4 loading slowly for anyone else?
My brother in law left my PS4 running for hours the last time he was at our house and I'm worried he may had broke something in it. Then again he turned out to be a real asshole so perhaps he did mean to break the system. |
Yeah, I went on today for the first time since Dec to play the new heists and I got disconnected about 6 times. Not only that, but the load times seem to have increased, especially during the heists. It took 4 minutes to load me back to my apartment after one of the set up missions.

Been playing devil may cry 4 again in preparation for the special edition of the game.
|
Finished the main story of DBXV
Now I can mess around with the character creator! And yes I am considering making a Kamiki Sekai from Build Fighrers in there. |
I'm currently working on Saints Row IV and it's been a real blast though I will say as early as you get your Super Jump and Super Speed it kinda makes having vehicles kinda pointless, but that won't stop me from trying to Jack 'Em All.
...I'll let myself out :o |
I'm finally starting to get back to playing Pokemon Omega Ruby. I gotta finish that Delta Episode!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Directors Cut.
I played the console version when it came out back in the day and wanted to replay it for the last months but never came around to do it, but it popped up on a Steam Sale for 4 bucks last week and since I have a much more powerful PC then I did back then I figured to try out the PC-version instead. It's of course much more fluid and the controls are better, but I remembered the graphics being much better than they actually are. But graphic is a rather unimportant component in gaming for me, the game still plays very well. While my original playthrough was really peaceful, I tried to sneak around and kill as few people as possible, during my early second playthrough I already discovered much more alternate routes to sneak around even better or talk your way out of problems. I especially remember having a hard time with the Police Office, sneaking around and getting spotted all the time, but now I just talked to the warden in the right way and got complete access to everything, that was much easier. And the dialogs are really interesting once you figure out how to properly deal with them. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty this time around, but so far I had no real problems with it, if you sneak around enemies or take them out silently and hack to gain advantages health or damage doesn’t really matter. I like this game a lot more now that I acknowledged how different I can play the game if I try to talk and hack more, while still sneaking around enemies as much as possible. |

But seriously, Library with shotgun and AR and a bit of patience was the easiest time I ever had on it. I haven't touched MCC since that post, though; been focusing on Rogue. Which I just beat last night. For starts, I was surprised by just how short it was. Unquestionably the shortest console release in the Assassin's Creed series. Which is so weird when its explorable world (which I'll be seeing a whole lot of now that it's achievement hunting time) feels as big as Black Flag's. But that last mission... and the ties to Unity... Did not see them coming. Was freaking out while playing it heh. |
I haven't really tested out the new features of the Directors Cut like the" Behind the Scenes"-stuff, but I will do that soon. I think the DLC is included in this, I missed out on that so I'll see it for the first time now.
And yeah, the "No Killing"-trophy/achievement is a cool challenge and I would totally do it, sadly there's stuff like enemies dying out of nowhere even if you only send them sleeping, I had that happening now as well and only noticed it after saving, so I won't be able to get it. The boss battles are unfortunate, I would love to have a more strategical way to send them down without killing them, Metal Gear Solid 3-style. |
Had this idea while replaying Saints Row The Third.
Imagine the fun of Saints Row the Third, or IV, with an online mode like GTAV. But one that actually worked and didn't require so much boring grinding. Or sitting around doing nothing waiting for hours for an NPC to call you about a job so you can actually do something. It could be part of IV but have the gameplay of The Third. The remaining people of Earth, inside the Zin Simulation. You create a character, do missions, or just go around doing whatever the hell you wanted. |

Sat down tonight and dedicated a good, solid hour and a half to Killer Instinct. I really think I'm starting to get the hang of it and am really beginning to have fun with the game. I may actually come back to this regularly instead of using it to tide myself over until MKX comes out.

Beat Tomb Raider 2013.
I have to say, as much as I'm usually against the countless and usually needless reboots and remakes, Tomb Raider was one franchise that really could've used some reinvention, and this? This was the way to do it. Combat felt a bit sloppy at times, though, and some weapons were far... far less useful than others (shotgun), and there were a few collectibles that suffered from "Lost Forever" syndrome. But over all, I had a great time playing. |

That Version of Lara Croft has to got to be my favorite now, plus the accent~ But yea in terms of gameplay it was a bit iffy here and there, I found the hunting aspect really, really useless later on. Story and how it was done was really cool. ----------------------------- Played more of Persona Q last night and gosh darn are these puzzle difficult probably one of the many reasons why I have more hours in this game than P3 and P4 Golden (when I sitll had it) combined. |

I restarted Conception 2 and i'm making good progress through the game. I'm befriending Ellie because out of the first 4 girls she's my favorite. But once Torri comes into the story i'm probably gonna ditch her in favor of Torri because she's my overall favorite. I'm on chapter 2 and i forgot where Torri shows up so i think it'll be a while.
Also i started playing Professor Layton and the miracle Mask, i'm on chapter 2 right now, man is the first chapter of that game long, whenever i play it tires me out. |

Speaking of, when you really did have to get in close, like at the end, the distraction skill was a bit wonky. I would've liked if it auto-locked on the nearest enemy as opposed to the direction you were facing/scrambling to, because it's a reasonable assumption that you're going to be moving AWAY from the heavily armored dude with the giant sharp stick instead of TOWARD him. The story was pretty standard Hero's Journey type stuff and you could see everything coming a mile away if you're even remotely familiar with how these types of plots go- but it was still very enjoyably done. Quote:

Yeahhhh I still hate the collectibles and achievements in that game for making me do a second run because so many were missable. Even if it was a great game, rushing through it just for them was a bore.
Still achievement hunting in AC: Rogue. That world is just so disproportionately big compared to the length of the game proper it's ridiculous. Finished up everything in the north Atlantic (except legendary ships since I don't think I have enough upgrades) and am starting on the river valley. |
THere are only a few trophies I did not get in Tomb Raider. One of them was pulling off guys from cliffs with the zip line and stuff. However, game wise, I 100% it.
|
Mother fucker I think my Rogue save is bugged because one of the renovation guys won't appear... I do not want to make a new save for collectibles in a bloody Assassin's Creed game of all things.
Edit: Neeeevermind. Just realized I had slipped into a location in a zone I haven't taken the fort in to unlock him. |

Hard to believe but Screw Attack's AVGN Adventures is coming out for Wii U in North America this Thursday!
That's something to look forward to after work! I'm still waiting on Freedom Planet but I do love a good side scroller! |
