Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww man, they freaking screwed Shade up. WTF CW?! That's the second villain in a row I have been waiting forever to see that was done completely wrong.
The crappiness of Shade aside, this was a really great episode. Everything that dealt with Kaitlyn was well done, especially the scene from the future. HR was hilarious with the face changing device. And then there was everything that dealt with Alchemy. I just really hope Alchemy is not freaking Julian. Can't wait until next week's episode. Oh, and I'm curious as to when we will start seeing the entire multiverse of Grodds appear. lmao |

I've mostly caught up on Season 3, and I have to say, kinda disappointed how lackluster Top turned out to be
|
Savitar wasn't exactly what I expected, but his debut was still pretty darn cool.
Oh, and HR is totally gay. Would make sense to me. |

Speaking of Piper, why the fuck isn't he one of the supporting cast after his half assed redemption in Season 2? EDIT: JESUS SAVITAR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR DESIGN? |
We finally watched the first three episodes to the new season of Legends and they were a mixed bag. The first episode was utter garbage and dragged on forever. How many times has Rory stranded his team now? Three? Four? WTF?! What made it even more crap was how rushed everything was to pick them up and then have the whole Einstein plot. The whole episode should have just been retrieving them, and then the next episode featuring Darhke. UGH!!!!
The second episode was better, but clearly the 1942 they went to was the DC Cinematic Universe's timeline since the JSA acted like a bunch of douchebags. Honestly, I wasn't as impressed with them as I was anticipating I would be. The episode was fun, had some good moments, but nothing truly exciting. The CGI for that wannabe Blockbuster was pretty damn awful. Now the third episode was fantastic! It was fun, it was interesting, and had some really well choreographed fight scenes. I'm really liking Not-Colossus as he brings in some extremely needed humor. I'm curious to know what the message from future Barry has to say, but at the same time, I'm sure it's going to end up being something stupid. Hopefully the season picks up from here because I'm only planning to watch it until the mid-season break if it goes back to the quality of the first two episodes. EDIT: Tonight's episode of Arrow was quite good, but it's obvious Vigilante is the new DA. Still enjoyable nonetheless and I am enjoying the flashbacks lately. They feel like they are part of the story again, especially in this episode. In fact, this was the first time in week's I was actually excited to be watching an episode of Arrow as it aired. Glad they aren't trying to pretend Quentin is Prometheus, as the man knows he isn't, so that is good. As for the reveal with Artemis, ugh, they already did this story in Young Justice, do they really have to do it again? |
It's too bad Jonah Hex couldn't be a regular member of the Legends, the team needs a bad ass in light of Rip's absence.
|
I love Nate's suit. It's really similar to the suit in the comics which makes me happy. Barry's message is really killing me. Why can't they just say what it was. I'm hoping that Barry was talking about his grandson Bart because in Young Justice, 2056 was the year Bart travelled from. It'd be really cool to have Impulse on the show.

Ugh, I wanted to see the Dark team and half of that trailer was Batman with a quarter of it being the regular JL. What's the point of calling it Justice League Dark if it is going to feature the regular team?

WB's trailers usually reflect the overall product of their films. Hence why both BvsS and SS turned out as poorly as their trailers were while The Nice Guys exceeded their top notch trailer.
Anyway, we just finished catching up on Legends and it's still kind of mediocre. It could be worse, but it should be a whole hell of a lot better. The episode dealing with the confederate zombies was decent, but not great. The stuff with Jax learning how degrading slavery really was was very touching though. The one racist biggot got exactly what he deserved. Thankfully episode five was pretty good. It was awesome seeing Lance Henrikson playing Obsidian, but then, that man is just awesome no matter what he does. I've never understood why brainless morons who can't act like Vin Diesel, Channing Tatum, and Sam Worthington get all of these starring roles in big time movies while masters like Henrikson are reduced to nothing more than third rate cameos. It's kind of disgusting really. Anyway, it was entertaining and watching Ray try to act like Cold was pathetically hilarious. I do like how Sarah pretty much told Darhk exactly what was going to happen to him. Then we got the Jonah Hex episode. My god, did they even bother to read Hex's god damned origin story?! THAT IS NOT AT ALL HOW IT HAPPENED!!!!!! ****ING MORONS!!!!! It's bad enough they can't even figure out how to do his scars but the least they could have done was gotten his backstory with Quentin right. The actor they got to play Quentin did fine even though he still wasn't accurate to the source material. And then the ending of the episode was crap. Great, so it wasn't bad enough that Ray was Not-Iron Man, but now they have to go and turn Not-Colossus into Not-Captain America. What the fruck CW? Are you that desperate to be as successful as Marvel that you need to rip their characters off? As for the Stein stuff, I'm wondering if the effects are from Flashpoint. As a whole this season has been hit or miss. Sometimes there are moments of potential while other times it just flat out sucks. It's like they are trying to be Doctor Who but failing miserably, which is a shame because the DC universe is so vast there is no reason for that to be the case. Maybe they should just sit down and actually read the comics relating to the characters they are going to be bringing in on the show beforehand. |

2). It's a TV show on the CW. His scars look fantastic for a CW TV show. 3). Hank's costume looks like this in the comics: https://dailypop.files.wordpress.com...tizensteel.jpg I don't really know what else you could want. Anyway. It's been a tough week. But the fact that the CW shows exist and are still around has helped me out a lot. I've been having a bit of trouble keeping up regularly, but Alex's storyline in Supergirl combined with the reworked cast of Legends of Tomorrow have catapulted those shows in my mind quite a bit. Arrow's cool, too. I actually really like Oliver and Felicity's new love interests. I'm hoping they don't get back together, but I won't be surprised if they do. |

No, I know what his costume looks like in the comics, but I mean his TV costume looks like they just repainted a movie Cap costume. Even the star design is exactly the same.
And I don't care if it is a TV series, they screwed Hex's origin up. It's not like it is even that complicated of an origin story. He could have just said to Sarah, "He blames me for the death of his son and betrayed me." Hell, they could have changed it to, "He sold me out to the Apache, who scared me face." Wow, that was so hard. I'm sorry, but Jonah Hex is my third favorite DC character, so when he is adapted on screen, I expect accuracy. It's not like he has a complicated back story or is even that hard to write. He is the easiest character to adapt and WB seems so inept in doing so. I don't get it. |

Hex's origin isn't thematically important to the character. He's not a figure rooted in symbolism like Superman or Batman. He's just a guy. An extraordinary guy, sure, but still just a guy. |
Doesn't matter if it is "outdated" or not, that is his origin story. It's time they actually get the damn origin right. People would be outraged if they didn't kill Bruce's parents. People would be outraged if Krypton didn't blow up. So keep Hex's origin accurate!
Anyway, I hate to say it, but I am seriously pissed off at Supergirl right now. Like so pissed off I told my g/f to take Season 1 off my Xmas list. We caught up on the episodes last night: Episode 5 - It was a decent episode. Not sure how Jimmy managed to save everyone in that apartment complex when only like 8 people ran out of it and that thing was pretty damn high. I loved the scene with Lena and Winn beneath the stage, especially when they came out of it and everyone was looking at them. The Alex/Maggie stuff is really getting annoying. Episode 6 - This was without a doubt the worst episode in the entire DC CW franchise!!! Not only did it completely ruin Alex's character from the first season, but they spent 5 minutes having her tell Kara that she is a lesbian now, dragging that scene out with over the top fake drama only to have Kara not respond for like 25 minutes, making you wonder what her thoughts are, then to have Kara just say she is okay with it, but drag that out for ANOTHER five god damn minutes. Then we get to the end of the episode and Maggie tells Alex that she is not into her, MAKING THE WHOLE THING GOD DAMN POINTLESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so poorly written and acted so god damn terribly. That whole scene of them on the bench with Alex "revealing herself" to Kara was painful to sit through. I know wood that is less stiff than Alex's script reading. Oh yeah, there was other stuff that happened in that episode, right? Parasite was okay. The CGI kind of sucked but we did get to see a drunk Kara, which was funny. Episode 7 - Honestly, we almost didn't bother watching this episode after finishing episode 6, but decided to do so due to the crossover next week. The episode started out really well until they had to go and continue the Alex/Maggie crap. The Cadmus stuff was great especially getting to see Cyborg Superman. I'm curious if this is going to lead to the invasion next week or if this plot will continue after the break (although I'm not sure I want to stick around beyond the break at this point). I liked the stuff dealing with Jimmy even though the whole Guardian thing is stupid and his costume lacks color (when did the DCCU spill into the TV universe?). Oh, and Batman exists in this universe, that's great! How about we merge all of these Earths into one? |

Batman, Spiderman, and Superman are three of the most iconic superheroes ever. Practically everyone knows their origins, even non comic book fans. Hell, if anything BVS needed to elaborate more on why this particular Batman is so unhinged as he was. |

I didn't mind Jonah in Legend, hell I think he deserves his own spin off.
Let's just agree that it's better than what we got with than that Megan Fox movie. |
Anyone post this yet? Sorry if they did. I didn't see it. I love the Super Friends references slipped in this season. The Hall of Justice just kind of seals the deal. :D

Oh wow, that is beautiful.
As the great George Takei would say; OH MY. |
OH COME THE **** ON!!! Flash Rant:
What the hell is going on with this show?! It's not bad enough they have completely ruined Supergirl, but now they gotta ruin Flash too? Geoff Johns needs to come back immediately and clean up this mess these inept writers have done as this show has now given four "F'Yous" to its audience. They've screwed up Mirror Master and Shade, but nope, that wasn't enough either. Now they have ANOTHER GOD DAMNED SPEEDSTER as the main villain. WHAT THE ****ING HELL?! Not only that, but the most obvious choice for being Alchemy IS FRIGGIN DR ALCHEMY!!!! IS IT THAT FUCKING HARD TO READ THE GOD DAMN COMICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????? : |
Most expected plot for Flash. Savitar is still bugging me. How can they adapt a human with super speed in the comics into a speed god that makes speedsters feel powerless?

New crossover promo. I'm really loving Dominic Purcell this season.

Did Caitlin hijack my brain last night? Because it's like she took all my "God Damnit Barry!" posts on Facebook and used them to power her rant about everything I have had an issue with for a while now.
I would have thought my spirit animal would be a firebender, not a cyrokinetic. Learn something new everyday. |
You know what would be great?
If the members of Justice League Dark had individual miniseries on netflix or whatever service is available and then they do Justice League after everyone is familiar. |

Zatanna would work, but I wonder if Deadman could hold his own series. I've always only seen him teaming up with others. Etrigan would be fine on his own, though a hero solo would be unlikely. Swamp Thing (or is he Man Thing? I always get the two confused) would be an awesome horror hero route for DC to try. Wouldn't be against the idea, though I'm cool if they just did this movie, then maybe gave them separate little shorts. |
Weren't we supposed to be getting another Justice League: Gods and Monsters film or something? Did the first one not do so well? I'd like to see that universes Alt. Versions of the Flash and Green Lantern.

Zatanna has potential to work. Etrigan as well. I'm not sure if Deadman would work solo. He always seems to work well with others so giving him his own solo series might not work. Deadman could be like Claire Temple from the Marvel Netflix series and appear in the other's series but have a big part to play. I'd definitely pay to see a Swamp Thing show. One of my favorite characters and he'd be a great choice for a horror hero route for DC. |
