Well. Mary Jane Watson is relevant again starting in Invincible Iron Man #4.Kindofashameshe's not in any of the Spider-Man books. http://comicsalliance.com/mary-jane-...ible-iron-man/ |
She's holding an Iron Man mask. Potential armor deal for her? Speculations?
|
....okay? Not sure where that's going to go. But then I'm so out of touch with Marvel now I'm not sure I want to know either.

Sure, weird family trees are the mo in comics, but it still sounds too random. |

Anyways, I'm more curious about what kind of job Tony needs MJ for, he's making his own version of The Apprentice? :lol |

No wait, the dude has a company now. How does Tony keep getting deals!? Going by the official timeline hasn't he entered bankruptcy at least once per year? |

Maybe he's just that charming of a guy :lol |

But I really hope whoever his biological parents are that they are new characters. Or some really obscure ones that showed up in an issue or two 30 years ago.

So I'm watching The Ultimate Spiderman cartoon on Disney XD. I hate how they made Otto Octavius look. He is simply atrocious!

All that jazz indeed. I look at him outside the armor and this comes to mind.

So I just checked next week's batch of comics at the comic store I go to, it seems that Secret Wars #6 has been pushed back...AGAIN! At this rate, we'd likely be half a year into the "All-New All Different Marvel" by the time Secret Wars #6 comes out. I kidd of course but seriously, what's going on and when's it coming out?
|
Its now supposed to come out on October 7th.
This whole thing really annoys me. Ever since Uncanny X-Men #600 got pushed back again and again they have problems maintaining a proper schedule. Not just that ANAD Marvel now starts while Secret Wars is still going, it makes it really hard to plan out what you wanna buy each month. I still think it would have been a better move to just have Secret Wars run for a year and then do the whole ANAD Marvel thing. |

I wish and don't wish Secret Wars #6 comes out October 7th (8th for me, cos Australia) cos if it does, 'hooray it finally came out' but on the other hand, Oct. 7th/8th will be a big day for me to buy comics (since ANAD Marvel will debut) and I've really being trying to cut down on how much I spend every week on comics. |
For everything that went wrong with the New 52 the actual start was really well done. They had a clean start with the only two books coming out in the last week of August being the last issue of Flashpoint and the first issue of the N52 Justice League. And from there they just did N52.
I really hope it wont ruin the ANAD Marvel books when you havent read all of Secret Wars yet. |

With ANAD Marvel being a new universe, I'm worried that we'd probably lose a lot of context/information as to what's changed/the same, how'd it happen, etc. in the ANAD Marvel comics. |
Working my way through a bunch of comics I couldnt pick up in the last weeks. Gotta say Howard the Human was a lot better than I ever expected.

Finished Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies. Boy was that a letdown. The premise sounded fantastic and I liked the first issue but it really went downhill from there. The book was incredibly rushed and full with needless exposition. Instead of packing the books full with the characters backstory they could have used that time to actually show them trying to survive in the Zombie Robot apocalypse. Or have more conflicts between the Ultrons and the Zombies. Overall not something I would recommend.
And I read the last issue of Waids Daredevil. Great stuff as always. Sad that his run on the book is now over. |

simmooooooons!
:D |
I picked up Contest of Champions #1, Doctor Strange #1, and Invincible Iron Man #1 today as part of the All-New All-Different Marvel reboot.
Contest of Champions was alright. It felt rushed and it literally drops straight into the plot without even a little bit of an explanation as to what's happening. I don't know, that could be how they wanted the story to be structured. I'll probably continue reading it but the first issue hasn't left a good impression on me. Doctor Strange is good. I do like that they give a brief recap on how he came to be on the first page, so that was a good idea. Good start to the plot and interesting to see Strange's lifestyle and adventures. Invincible Iron Man is good, and my favourite of this week's releases. Thank god they've changed Tony back! It's good to see normal Tony once again not 'Dark Tony'. Thor's cameo was pretty funny. Also, fair warning, the ending seems to contain a potential spoiler for Secret Wars (I say potential as we still don't know how Secret Wars ends and how the All-New All-Different Marvel Universe is created). Good start to the story and hope to read more. |

I like Peter's new suit.
They brought back the armpit webs! |
