Catching up on the Vanguard anime. I got so used to the characters in S3 that i almost forgot some characters existed. :lol

Watching some of these episodes is making me feel rather nostalgic about stuff that only happened a year ago. Me and my friends playing card games in the library with a teacher looming over us.

Episode 114 of Vanguard is now my favorite as they use my favorite clan.

I like the Vanguard anime in that it doesn't take itself too seriously. There's also no saving the world by playing a children's card game Yugioh BS not at least till the whole Link Joker stuff starts off.

Even then…I think it's stated why everything is done via the card game.

So watching Space dandy episode 2 tonight, it's like Lloyd in space meets Bobobo... Meets crack.

I want to sometime give Samurai Flamenco a try. I never bothered because someone told me it was just some slice of life anime about an Otaku. They did not tell me it was a super hero show in the same veins as Sentai. I found that out when one of my friends was over and watching it on his phone. That guillotine gorilla monster was pretty awesome.

Unless Vanguard starts using mythology in their main story, I see no reason to bother.

Anyway, I watched Arise episode 2 and it was amazing. I cannot wait until Funimation dubs this show as it is only going to improve upon it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! was based on Egyptian mythology and followed it until its end. 5Ds featured Mayan mythos in its first season (which is why the first 64 episodes are the only ones worth watching).

None of those other series that copy the formula, Duel Masters, Vanguard, Beyblade, etc, have any of that, which makes them vastly inferior and not worth watching.

I kinda get what you mean. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh…Vanguard is even more blatantly apparent in that it's trying to sell you a card game.

And i don't know but i like that. Though as far as i can tell Season 3 doesn't force that pont on you.

To be fair, it pretty much WAS a real life show about an otaku to begin with. Then all of a sudden it completely changed inexplicably to be a Kamen Rider-esque show, and now in the last two episodes it's become a Sentai show. At this stage it just seems to be working its way through the various toku tropes and genres.

Yeah, Vanguard at least is pretty up front and straight faced about it.

Decided to watch the Animal Crossing movie since I haven't seen it in a few years. I haven't played any of the games myself but my girlfriend is an obsessive fan so I have a passing interest in it. It's a pretty fun movie and covers a fair bit of things that happen in the games, but the ending is a bit weird.

My favourite part is KK having this masculine voice and then bursting into his game voice for KK Bossa though :lol

Just found a comedy high school anime on crunchy. It's called chronicles of the going home club. Normally gather going home club are people that don't join after school clubs but in this it's an actuall club. If you like these kind of anime like GJ BU club and other in this genre you get a laugh I'm just finished episode one

Sorry for double post I just finished season 1 of dog days and love it and just started season 2 and can't wait for season 3. Also I hear load of bad thing about NIS America saying that they just sub and there stuff becomes hard to find after while cause I been want to get toradora from them

I just watched the first episode of "Heartcatch Precure!"

First time I've ever watched a PreCure series, but in my disappointment over the delay of the new Sailor Moon series, I figured this might scratch the mahou shoujo itch a bit.

Narratively: Hard to judge the quality of the story from the first episode, but I was intrigued by the opening fight between Dark Cure and Cure Moonlight.

Aesthetically: I love the designs, but please tell me the characters' voices get a little less ear piercing.

The only other pretty cure I watch the the first with cure white and black that was dubbed by ocean group it's a magical girl seris I been wanting to watch for a while but I dunno what came after that one

I absolutely ADORED HeartCatch PreCure when I watched it. Art, music, plot, action, all of it was very enjoyable.

It's the only PreCure series I've seen besides the currently airing/finishing series, DokiDoki Precure, but it's regarded as the best installment in the franchise and hasn't been topped since. If you enjoy tokusatsu, it's a good series to try.

Effusive praise like yours is the exact reason I landed on Heartcatch.

I'm very excited to see where things go.

Sooooo….got around to watching Buddy Complex Episode 2 just now.

This series seems to share a lot of similarities with Valvrave: The Liberator but it seems better constructed and thought out. But…wheres Valvrave attempted to do something different Buddy Complex comes off as kinda generic and a little boring but at least the main lead isn't a weenie/Haruto 2.0.

Eh, I'll stick with it and see where it goes. The whole time travel aspect could be interesting and I wanna see where they go with it. The mecha designs looks like the love child of Gundam 00 and Code Geass.



And I also watched Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil…nooooot normally the type of anime I watch but everything I heard of it made it sound like Phoenix Wright with a magical girl flare.

….and that's essentially what his show is. The first episode was pretty good, and I wanna see how they handle the courtroom side of things a little more.

It's official, I love Fairy Tail! :D

I finally finished Outbreak Company. I consider this the best parody series ever. It outclasses Haiyore! Nyaruko-San in every regard (Except for Kamen Rider references, as Outbreak Company has none.)
