Despite hay fever (it's summer here but for some reason it feels more like spring???) and a lack of sleep due to a combination of hay fever and me deciding to foolishly binge watch Code Geass the night before against my better judgement, I successfully passed my driver's test. Yay!!!

Congrats! But, uh, maybe get some sleep and some hay fever medication before you get behind the wheel again!

Hmm.. our pet parakeet is unusually perky despite having the insides of her stomach exposed by a rather large wound after getting attacked by a stray cat the other night. Yeah the bleeding has stopped and we isolated her from the other birds because they kept pecking on her wound but it's rather odd how seemingly okay she is.

Sorry for being selfish. It's just, slowly dying with cancer, and your so-called friends are having the time of their lives. Idk maybe cancer is a good thing for me. When I'm gone they won't realize it.

Oh, buddy, no. Don't think that way. You can't control how other people live their lives, but you can control how you respond to it. Take care of yourself, follow your doctors' instructions, and tune out anyone that's making it difficult for you to recover.

I’m gonna agree with die here. I want to to say you’re not being selfish, you’re going through something incredibly rough, and the fact you trust us is an honor. You’re allowed to be selfish, but this isn’t an example of that.

Also why are your friends having the time of their lives during a pandemic, or did your country/state handle it better?

Sengal, listen, I know it's easy for us to say, since we're not in your situation, but you can't think about stuff like that. Right now it's best for you to focus on your own recovery and what will overall make you feel great once you're through this.

I mean the good news is that I have operated and just going through chemo to eliminate the excess cancer, so yeah recovery rate is pretty decent.

We used to handle it better. My country was one of the best in handling it. But it all went to hell because politics lol.

Nice to know you have a decent chance at recovery. Hang in there! And cherish your life; we care about it, and positive mental attitude has been scientifically proven to increase recovery rate. We're here for you buddy.

Went driving as a P-plater for the first time today (for context here in Australia a 'probationary license' is held by people for two or so years after passing their drivers test. Every probationary license holder has something called a 'P-plate' which is basically a plastic plate with a 'P' on it that's stuck to the windshields to let other drivers know you're still new to the driving scene. It's like saying "I'm new to the road and starting to drive by myself" to other drivers. Statistically, P-plateers have the highest risk of crashing due to them now driving unsupervised). The feeling of driving and being able to go anywhere without supervision is awesome!

Of course, I'm being super careful on the road as I don't like the idea of paying for damages. I mean, I'll do it if need be but I'm really stingy so there's that.

The first Spider-Man game had me associating Cheetah Girl with beating up a giant horde of thugs, and now Miles Morales has me doing the same with Hey Mickey.
