Watched the first two discs of Zeta today (1-16) and damn this show is so good. It is a little confusing at times as things like Kamille whining about how his parents weren't really parents to suddenly telling everyone else they are not allowed to talk about his parents makes no sense, but whatever. I have forgotten about how he does start out quite whiny. The Titans are just flat out assholes and think they have a right to do anything. That was so messed up when they kicked the crap out of Bright. The animation is also really nice looking, although there do tend to be some oddities in character models from time to time. The face of Kamille's dad looked really weird in some close up shots as if his face was crooked. Another thing this show improves upon is not having the introductory recap of what is going on in the universe every episode. God that gets so annoying when Gundam shows do that after the first two or three times.

Funny enough, the first time I watched it I thought the stuff that dealt with Amuro was boring but I'm really enjoying it this time around. The transforming mobile suits are freaking awesome and I love that they showed all of the Mobile Armors from the original series (even the ones not in the movies) when they were trying to figure out what armor Scirocco was piloting.

My only complaint is how odd some things still are. Like Reccoa and Kai getting captured and imprisoned in Jaburo off-screen. I guess the writers just couldn't figure out any good way to do this, so why do it at all? Despite that, oh man that was such an awesome battle and the animation continues to impress. Well, I'm done for the night but I can not wait to continue tomorrow.

After I watched that trailer, I realized Audrey's voice actress in English was the same as Eureka's from Eureka 7. Now it'll irritate me everytime I hear her speak. Can't do anything about it though.

That's just the nature of the business. Alucard, Azard, Dr Bias, Crowler, etc, are all done by Joji Nakata, but I always picture either Monte Cristo or Folken whenever I heard him talk.

Same goes for whenever I hear Mary Elizabeth McGlynn or Richard Epcar speak. I see Kusanagi and Batou, but I get over it.

A lot of Japanese VAs sound similar to me, but then again, I'm not super into that/know the language. But that doesn't bug me.

Yeah, I find more Japanese VAs sound alike to me than NA ones. Even in the same show I can sometimes mistake voices.

Also looks like they may edit events, as the Unicorn is in full armour fighting the Neo Zeong this time.

I thought it was very good. Will definitely be better on rewatching, since the week long breaks can make slow episodes feel longer than they are. I never thought the animation was sub par at all, in fact I thought it was consistently high.

Just finished watching a happy dose of the next two discs (17-33) and god this show just keeps getting better and better, especially now that the Zeta has emerged onstage. Scirocco is pretty awesome and I love how his charisma allows him to corrupt even the most innocent souls. However, for as great as everything is, some aspects just don't make any lick of sense, especially with Shun and Qum. Who the hell are they? Where did they come from? Why would Char bring them into space? Why are they there? What purpose do they serve? Jack **** is said about these two as they just show up and someone says Char brought them with him. It would have made far more sense if they were the children to Blex or something, but nope, nada. This is hands down the worst part of the show as they feel out of place and forced. Ignoring that annoyance, everything else is great. I love how pretty much all of the characters, good or bad, are getting their own development, even the aholes like Katz and Jarid. The Psycho Gundam is freaking awesome and Haman Karn has now made her appearance. I can't wait to finish this series tomorrow!!

I hate kid characters like the 3 stupid toddlers from MSG or these two from Zeta and ZZ. They just seem unnecessary and annoying to me, and detract from the seriousness and attention to the story. Good thing Bandai has realized this and kept them out of more recent shows.

I was happy once those annoying little twats got booted off the ship...
