ZOE 1:
Forget you ADA, I do what I want! :lol |
Quote:
I wanted a Templar-centric game for a good amount of time now. Ubisoft delivered. They were going somewhere with this. But comparatively, it just falls short from the main series. Literally. Did a whole lot today - 8 or 9 achievements worth haha. Finished exploring and just have the real grindy ones. Like getting enough metal to finish upgrading the Morrigan, looting 20 convoys (I've only done 4 >_<), looting camps, doing all the cheat stuff (and I need 3 more challenges to unlock one of the necessary cheats with none of them being very easy ugh). |

Finished AC:Revalations.
I hate this game, yet I can't stay mad at it. The combat's fun, the stealth-style enjoyable, and the story is quite enjoyable...at times. Other times it pisses me right the fuck off. The humanist pop philosophy, the stupidity First Civ crap (you mean to tell me those hyperadvanced fuckers couldn't figure out space travel in time to spare their species from destruction?), the fact I'm supposed to give a damn about the First Civ's inner bickering without a second thought just because INTRIGUE!!!, the fact that what should be a franchise with a universe of complete ambiguity where everything is equally plausible and could all mesh together into a cohesive world of uncertaintity where moralities of everyone involved are grey, slightly darker grey and slightly lighter grey is instead replaced with amoral pricks, nicer-yet-still-amoral pricks and the rest of the world, the fact that I'm supposed to buy the faction names existing since Adam and Eve's snagging of the Golden Snitch and Cain snapping Abel's neck over it despite Templar being shorthand for a rather lengthy title to an order of Knights and Assassin essentially being 11th Century Arabic for "pot head," and all the fucking modern plot stuff that I'm supposed to care about. And yet, in spite of all that, I love playing the games. |
Working my way through Final Fantasy Type-0. One of the few JRPGs where I actually find the combat so enjoyable I go out of my way to get into battles.

Finished the third Chapter of Miracle mask.
Later i'm moving on to Coneption 2. |
Note to self:
Never ever ever EEEEEEVERRRRRRRR go harpooning with a hunter ship after you again! It will catch up. And it will get in your way. And it will nudge you and ruin things. And it might even make you glitch out and send your little harpoon boot flying hundreds of meters away! Say, three hundred or so. |

Yeah, 1 is not a very good game. |
So Axiom Verge comes out today. I'm thinking it'll be downloadable by noon today; if not then around midnight then.
I've heard so many good things about this game and after Other M killed Metroid I'm hoping this will carry the torch. |
Finished Bioshock Infinite last night.
That was a heck of an ending... |
Beat chapter 4 of Professor Layton and the miracle mask.
And i also beat chapter 2 of Conception 2, i switched Ellie out for Torri and i'm currently grinding her up and raising her friendship so our children will be stronger... I feel like i wonded that wrong. |

Is anyone else playing Axiom Verge?
I'm trying to get to the fourth boss but I can't find him anywhere. I'm struck in a small area of Zi and I want to truly use my new lab coat. Any ideas on where I should go to? |
Quote:
When? How much? Sony never sent me anything saying it came out. |
Beaten my fourth boss in Axiom Verge and gained the Grapple.
Still have no idea what to do now. This game is cool but lacks Metroid's ease of use if that makes any sense. |
I'm a few hours into Assassin's Creed Unity. I'm really surprised by how much of this game is a throwback to the Ezio trilogy; not just because of the setting, but all of the gameplay elements that have returned after disappearing from the American games: heavy weapons and polearms, medicine, armor... if I didn't know better, I'd swear that the designers hadn't played any of the Kenway games.

Man...
Screw the Storm Fortress. |
Sunset overdrive and far cry 4. Both of them are so amazing because in far cry I get to explode shit and free a country from a tyrant while in sunset overdrive I get to customize my own character and save a city from an apocalypse caused by an energy drink.
|
Didn't Unity flopped badly for an AC game? What was the reasoning behind it?

What the fuck was that shit? |
Downloaded AVGN Adventures yesterday.
So far I've beaten all but Blizzard of Balls since the boss there keeps kicking my ass. Any tips and tricks for dealing with the 3 Ghosts? |
Downloaded Forza Horizon 2: Fast & Furious because lol easy free achievements.
Naturally that planned backfired because one of them glitched out somehow and is stuck in the "Done!...Unlocking" state. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for that to get resolves, but in the mean time it means the game's wasting space because I don't want to uninstall until it does. |
Beat the fourth heist today with an awesome group of players today. It was the first time I got to play through an entire heist with the same team.
|
At long last beat Halo: CE in the MCC.
Good lord Halo 2 seems so much harder instantly. It is my first time playing it, though, so the differences will require some getting used to. |

I'm finally making some headway in Valkyria Chronicles after that obnoxious Battle of Barious chapter. That would have been enough to drop the game if it weren't so fun.
|
I'm at the point in Axiom Verge where you get the trenchcoat and have found out something dark regarding Trace's relation with the main villain of the game, whose name I cannot spell
It's a hard game but I'm using a video walkthough to help ease me into getting past some of the trickery parts. I'm hoping I can find the sixth boss and get the red coat so I can get past the Breach; that stuff is a real drag once you've been around it long enough. Also is anyone else here playing this yet? |
Quote:
My issues right now boil down to just how quickly your shield drops; it is so much more sudden then in CE and later games I think. Can't take on groups of enemies at all because one peek around the corner and I'm dead, nevermind trying to get off enough shots to take out an Elite. |
I heard Halo 2 anniversary has some new stuff that they added/retconned in? How does that work?

Mega Man X2
Wow that final Sigma fight was easy. I was expecting him to have more forms other than regular and flying head Sigma. I only beat him in 2 tries. |
Well, you've done it. You've gotten me into an actual Assassin's Creed game. Black Flag was free with Gold so I figured why not and it's so good. It's like someone adulted up Sid Myers' Pirates.
|
Quote:
Fair bit of warning should you go on to the other X games; Sigma's final forms are doozies. Special notice for both X3 and X4 for being hard, with X6 not to far off (you can get health and weapon energy from his blobs during his final faze, but he's still quite hard) |
Started up GTA5 just to see what the fuss was about it's my first time playing any GTA Game in this franchise.
Are the controls normally this awkward or is it just me? |
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. Downloaded an hour earlier than expected in the middle of a Halo session (done with 2 and nearly done with 3 now), so figure I'll play for a bit before calling it a night.

There's also the option to remap the buttons to something that suits your playstyle as well Kiryu. |
Bravely Default. A game I was bought for Christmas, but a game I am just now playing. :lol
|
Chronicles: China... Might just be me, but I think there's finally an Assassin's Creed game where the combat isn't obscenely easy. In fact I absolutely suck at it, can't block ever, and die instantly. *sigh*
