Nega World!
I guess Decade has some sort of quota for bad episodes, because this arc was crap. Yes, it gave us backstory on Natsumi, but it was all meaningless because it wasn't her world. The antics with Tsukasa and Yuusuke was nice, but it only lasted like, 4 minutes. And have I mentioned that Decade Complete looks stupid? Because it does. |

Q: Why are they letting Natsumi live? A: So they might draw out Nega world Natsumi and use her to pull out the K-Touch. That's completely stupid, because they take the prospect that there are still living humans with confusion and shock, so why would they assume Nega World Natsumi would be alive, let alone even in the area anymore? Q: Why is Decade being treated like a king? A: So he can rule the Nega World as the ultimate Rider and kill off all remaining humans. This made no sense. Dark Kiva pretty much ruled the Nega World, even having bested Decade. Why would he just willingly give up his position in power? (Aside from "Because Decade is a Mary Sue that has everything given to him.") Q: Why does Diend know everything about these worlds if he doesn't know anything about the treasures located? A: Seriously. This is starting to piss me off. It's like he can pull up the Wikipedia entries for any Rider world and start spouting off facts left and right, but he has no idea about any of the supposed "Treasures" he's hunting for. The Nega World arc sucked so hard. And now I have to suffer through Decade Complete appearing now, too. |

well diend did say that he was just like decade before decade had arrived, passing through each one. that was explained in... some movie i forgot about :lol. if he was going to each world i guarantee he would learn about them like decade is. about the treasure though.... not sure |

Though I can't deny any or your completely well thought out and valid points :lol |
Just started Ryuki, like literally just finished episode 1. So far so good. It's definitely got a different tone from the last couple series I've watched, which is a nice change of pace. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Diend World.
Darkroaches are back. Whoohoo (Also, not sure, but I think Caucasus Undead appeared). This one was alright. I do wish we got more Undead than the 2 that appeared. As for the episode, it was decent. The story was nice, and the back story for Kaito was good. I do wish the stupid twist at the end was gone, though, because once you start thinking about it, it really has no reason of being there. Overall, though, if the rest of Decade was more like this 2 parter, I would've enjoyed the series far more. Up next, Shinken World! (Also, I just noticed they use the term "This world" a lot. It makes sense for Decade or Natsumi, but when residents of that world speak as though they know full well that there are multiple worlds, it gets pretty odd) |

"So where's Diend from?" "A world whose only Riders are the three movie-exclusive Riders from Blade." "Makes perfect sense to me!" |

Also, don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure the Missing Ace actors reprised their roles, at least Junichi's, because I could never forget that nose. :lol |

Anyway, I rewatched All Riders vs. Dai Shocker today. It was ok. Not much of note before the rider tournament started. Apparenly Tsukasa's parents died a deekaydo before the events of this movie...well I thought it was funny. Anyway, the rider tournament was pretty good, though watching it. I agree with Matrix...I don't get how anyone can say "Decade isn't a mary sue!" Because the tournament proves that he totally is. Of course Kaito ran away (which was actually smart on his part). It is disappointing how that whole Rider War never pans out. What I don't get is that Tsukasa was either Shocker's leader or high up in their ranks, and they sent him on the mission to go and destroy the worlds...so why did Wataru tell him he had to destroy the worlds in the first episode? Then Decade went full blown jerk and became the leader of shocker, and Natsumi's grandpa is Dr. Shinigami? But Dr. Shinigami is also a Dopant? I...next topic. Tsukasa's sister used some mind control on Yuuske, and somehow unlocked Rising Ultimate. I honestly don't get how she could see into other worlds, just because she was lonley, and apparently so could Tsukasa. Tsukasa then got overthrown by his sister and Shadowmoon, then GACKT went and beat him up for cutting his arm off, and threatened to kill him, and during that scene I couldn't help but think of Matrix during that scene :lol. Speaking of GACKT...where did he go after that scene? I heard somewhere he was Riderman, is that correct? Then Tsukasa came back, and everyone forgave him...ok. The fight scene was cool, I am so glad that they changed the way that Double's henshin songs work in the show, I don't like how they overlap here, and seriously Yuuske? Yo're in Rising Ultimate...your normal Ultimatte is rumored to have a Rider Kick that can detroy he entire planet, yet yo can't handle Shadowmoon? The group do rider kicks kind of bother me since they aren't like the ones in the show. Then King Dark showed up and J turned into Decade Complete Form. Is this the first time Complete form showed up? Because there's no K-Touch. Then his sister forgave him and went on her own journey, and Decade went on more adventures, so yeah. There are my thoughts on All Riders vs. Dai Shocker. Oh! I forgot to mention. Narutaki was actually kind of a nice guy in this movie. So...as a standalone movie. It works, even though it does have a few problems, as a part of the show? It still kind of works, but not nearly as much. |

About to start episode 5 of Ryuki, was wondering when we'd get our first Rider vs Rider fight (well, not counting the first little scuffle between Ryuki and Knight). Definitely digging the show so far, but I do miss the monster of the week having a bit more to them...like some personality or a background of some sort, from what I've seen of the show so far these guys aren't even named really, whereas the Dopants and Zodiarts had some theming to them and had actual names..if I'm getting my point across correctly here. Though the mirror monsters I guess are meant to be like..actual monsters rather than people using some sort of switch or henshin device or something.

Finished Shinken World.
Wow, Natsumi was so out of character it hurt. As for the rest, it could've been better. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either. There were way too many flaws for me to properly just sit and enjoy it, though I did like the acknowledgment that Eijiro has an important task, too. Next: Black RX world! |

Much like W it is definitely living up to the hype I've seen for it so far, minus being all dark and depressing, but at only 5 episodes in I obviously am not quite to that point to judge anyways, as by the end of the series I'm sure it'll deliver on that front. Speaking of 5 episodes in, I noticed that Ryuki has 50 episodes, which is the most of the series I've watched so far and that has me thinking, just what is the longest Rider series? I know that Den-O received the most post-series support with several movies keeping it going on, but I don't know it's actual episode count. And I know virtually nothing about the Showa era Riders, so I've even less an idea of how long each of them ran for. |
Technically, the original Kamen Rider is the longest Rider series, but if you're only counting Heisei, then it might be.
|
Just looked into it a bit myself, the original Kamen Rider had a 98 episode run, not too shabby. For the Heisei riders 555 and Ryuki both are tied at 50 episodes a piece. With only 24 episodes, Amazon is the shortest series between both eras. Decade comes in just behind it at 31 episodes. Den-O and Agito are combined for the highest film count at 6 apiece.

98 episodes is pretty substantial for a show, since there seems to be a magic cut off at 65 for syndication, if they even reach that point.
Anyway, 6 more episodes of Decade. ...I finally know what it feels like when someone doesn't finish that "99 Bottles of beer" song. Getting so far, but just ending without finishing. The end goal is in sight. Less than an hour and a half worth of episodes to watch, but I just don't want to do it, especially knowing that ending, the ending that invalidates everything I just watched, will be coming up... *Sighs* I suffered through so many episodes, and it's currently going 8/25 in terms of watchable/decent episodes... |

Agito is 51 episodes, 1 TV Special, 1 Movie, and 1 Hyber Battle Video. |
Huh, well there I go making myself look quite the fool. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I did not anticipate it being worse than the first time around. I was kind of hoping for a Godzilla (1998) effect. Hate it the first time, watch it again a few years later and enjoy it. Also, if you want me to watch the Decade movies, you can just go fuck yourself. It's not happening. |

But thanks, your analysis means there's no reason to see it. Quote:
And the films need to stop making him be a bad guy who's actually good at the end. I think that twist has been used on 3 separate occasions now. It's pretty freaking predictable that, when Tsukasa is surrounded by monsters, it's all just part of his plan... |

He just is (I think he's drinking buddies with the Terror Dopant, and that's how he got a hold of the Dr. Shinigami memory). |
