Brave and the Bold-esque omnibus show with Bruce Timm style character designs is always welcome.

It's refreshing to see a Western cartoon series that isn't
A: Silly for the silliness' sake B: Done in CGI I'll definietly be checking out Justice leauge action when it hits the web |

Man, this episode was crap. First the whole thing from last week turned out to be nothing more than a freaking virus? That is just down right lame. I thought it was going to be something important that would be a big deal over the rest of the season, not a stupid cold. Speaking of which, how convenient that it just happens to be able to fix Martian's problem. Also, did Hank really need to wear a mask over his face? What was the point of that? Then we have more unnecessarily tacked on lesbian drama that does not even belong here. Do they seriously have to spend like 15 minutes an episode on this issue? WE GET IT, YOU'RE GAY NOW, WE DON'T CARE!!!!!! Get back to being about super heroes fighting aliens and leave the stupid romance crap out of it. Even the relationship between Ollie and Felicity did not feel like it was shoved down our throats this much.
Oh yeah, I forgot this episode was even supposed to kick off the crossover event. I was starting to wonder if they made a mistake and were showing next week's episode instead. Nope, it turns out that the writers forgot it was supposed to be that way. Here is what I believe the real dialog to that ending scene was: Flash - Kara, did you forget something? Kara - What do you mean? Flash - Really? Kara - OH MY GOD! THE CROSSOVER!!! Flash - Let's go! |

Personally, I've been having a blast watching Supergirl. I especially love their version of Lena Luthor. She could easily have gone the route of the betrayed friend-turned-villain, but they've given her quite a bit of depth of complexity. There's no unnecessary drama (except for Winn and James's need to keep the Guardian's identity secret), which makes a lot of the show's emotional core feel real. I'm hoping that Kara doesn't get together with Mon-El, but that's those are the only real criticisms I have. |
What is with the West family and lying/keeping secrets to "protect them"? They need some serious counseling.

Dear God, everyone is having kid problems because of Barry's Flashpoint.

I still haven't finished Supergirl Season 1, so watching this week's episode completely out of context from everything else was interesting to say the least but everything I've seen from that episode seems like an improvement at least....I really need to get around to finishing, especially now that it's up on Netflix in Canada, though it seems like the episode really has no consequence at all on this crossover except for Kara being there.
Man, I love how well Barry and Kara get along with one another it's really refreshing especially in this day and age where it seems heroes are always made to hate one another. |
Tonight's episode was quite enjoyable. I highly enjoyed it although I feel like the reveal of the Flash message from Legends was a let down and brought in unneccessary drama. Thankfully it worked for the plot as we got a cool super hero beat down. Granted, that has been happening all year, but at least it worked here since that is their first time dealing with aliens (well mostly). I did love that Supergirl backed Flash regardless of it, which is quite funny since they are the two bright and colorful heroes of the franchise.
I really do wish they had changed the Atom suit instead of just making it the same one he has had for a year now. Oh, did they just kill off the president? If so, that was brave and bold. I can't wait to see where they go with this now. It's a perfect time to make Lex the president. I also loved the banter Arrow and Flash had, especially the, "That was heat vision" comment. Sadly though, not everything was great. I'm getting really tired of Cisco now. He's gone from fun character to annoying douchebag. Finally, this episode makes the Supergirl ending last night utterly pointless because they just used the same scene over. The only thing you lose is the context of them doing multiple attempts. Overall, the story is off to a good start and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm just wondering if the Hawks are going to show up to help since well you know, they're heroes too. Quote:

I think this was a pretty good start to the crossover. Barry's message was definitely a missed opportunity for some interesting story lines in Legends. All that it was about was something we already knew: Barry screwed up the timeline. I was really hoping Wally would suit up in this episode, but seeing him in action was still cool. Cisco is really getting annoying now. I wish he could just get over this, so we can get the good ol' Cisco back.

Honestly, Season 3 of Flash is being very hit or miss for me lately, which is a shame, as it had so much potential |
Tonight's Arrow was really good and had some truly outstanding camera work going on. My favorite moment was when Thea kills Merlyn, grabs one of his arrows, and then tosses it over to Sarah, who then uses it to kill Deathstroke. Oh, and the camera that was spinning around Ollie and Diggle. That was great.
This episode was also a nice way to celebrate the 100th episode even if it did rip off the BTAS episode "Perchance to Dream." Curtis was at the top of his game tonight and I loved how Cisco loved and hated his constant movie references at the same time. Another favorite moment of mine though was when Flash tagged Supergirl in to fight the robot lady after she did the super hero landing. Just truly great stuff all around. This is really shaping up to be the best crossover in the series. I just hope they don't mess it up tomorrow. Lastly, something feels good about having a nice week long multiparter. It's been years since that has happened and brings back memories of big events like Green with Evil from MMPR, City of Stone from Gargoyles, The Agenda with Beast Wars, etc. |
Overall, I thought the crossover was pretty good. But it would've benefited had Supergirl gotten involved more. Don't get me wrong, it was great seeing her there but I wish she had more to do other than punch things and hug people, especially after the big deal they've been making about finally getting her involved more...maybe had the invasion plot line start off with Supergirl's episode instead of the Flash's.

Anyway, I am genuinly impressed and happy to say that this crossover was well worth it. It was fun, it was entertaining, and it was full of awesome super hero moments. This is exactly what I wish the DC movieverse was like! Was tonight's episode flawless? God no. The fight choreography was mediocre and the final battle felt rushed. However, we got a phenomenal epilogue that took its time to send off the crossover. I loved the entire last 10 minutes of the episode. Great stuff, especially now that Supergirl can join these guys at any given moment in time. Another thing I enjoyed is how they resolved Cisco being a douche by trying to do the exact same thing Barry tried to do. That was well thought out and was a great way to have him go, "Okay, so fixing time is not as easy as I thought." The only moment I will say I hated is when Ollie got all pissy at Kara for being an alien, but at least he saw the error of his ways in the end. The Dominators were a cool way to introduce aliens into the Arrowverse. They're plan also made sense although I was kind of hoping the Guardians would show up despite that being completely unrealistic at this point in time. Every moment with Cisco and Felicity together was pure awesomesauce. So in the end, I am quite pleased with the entire turnout of this. On the negative side, it means I'll have to get the BD of Legends S2 next year since WB doesn't understand how to put an entire crossover on each respective season's releases. Here's to hoping that the entire CW stuff goes up from here. |
Overall this was a pretty good crossover. The start was a little weak but the finale defined had a strong finish. Did anyone else get the Superman Returns reference?

Even if it's a statue, I'm glad someone is finally making a CW Flash that's a little bit on the higher end side. |

I saw the first episode of Justice League Action and, I have to say, I am a fan.
It's a nice, action-packed show that lets the heroes be heroes and stays true to their characters. The 11-minute format also makes it easier to watch since I don't have much free time to watch TV anymore. There were a couple of issues with Diana's characterization (namely how dismissive she was about Parasite's apparent demise), but that's a nitpick. |
Well poop, my CW showed the first episode of the season for Supergirl instead of the mid-season finale. WTF?!

There was no new episode last night. The midseason finale was the crossover lead-in. Show's on break now.

Yeah, they never said last week was the mid season finale. If that is the case though, that is a really shitty ass mid season finale. I don't even feel like I need to watch anymore of the show since the story is complete.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww man, Barry's going to sacrifice himself at the end of the season to save Iris just so WB can have their movies without Barry "confusing the audience," isn't he? I hope not, but that is the feeling I got from the ending.
That aside, this was another really solid episode. Hamill's appearance was really brief, but I am so happy Kaitlyn made a comment about the identity of the villains and the stuff with Julian was done really well. I also can't wait to see Wally in his costume when they return from the break. That is going to be so awesome. I will have to say that I'm curious to see where the stone is going to go. Maybe it will land in Gorilla City on Earth 2? That could be awesome because I want to see Grodd become a staple villain finally. Savitar would also be the best choice to bring him back to Earth 1. Overall, while this first half has had its up and downs, I'm really excited to see where they go with it despite my fear for how it is going to end now. |
Wally was acting like Wally, as in teasing the enemy despite the fact he could rip him to shreds. I approve.
Also, episode should just be titled "See Flashes knocked about like human pinballs. These boys can take a beating". |
Not a bad episode, but not great either. I did like how it goes back to when Ollie was just killing everyone and everything, although some areas feel kind of forced. After all, the guy was not apart of his child's life at all, so why should the kid be upset that his dad was killed? The man was a worthless scumbag and got exactly what he deserved. If Ollie didn't kill him someone else would have. Also not a fan of Artemis betraying the team.
On the other hand, the stuff with Curtis and his husband was well done. THAT is how you do gay drama! I don't understand why they can't pull this off in Supergirl. Hell, the reasons for Curtis' husband leaving also makes far more sense than when Felicity was pissed off at Ollie for most of last season. Of course, are they going to eventually kill him off in order to really get Mr Terrific going? I want to see the spheres!! The only thing I don't like was how random and out of the blue the ending came. Not to mention they live in a world that has a multiverse established. Is it really THAT far fetched to think that a version of her doesn't exist? |
Urgh, finally caught up with Flash, FINALLY is it starting to improve
|
It was an okay mid-finale for a below average season. I liked a lot of the episode that dealt with Chicago (sans the terrible acting from the guy who mumbled most of Capone's dialog), especially the music, and the jokes that dealt around The Untouchables was great. The overall plot though left a lot to be desired.
Honestly, I don't really think this show really needs to be a continuously storyline show. One episode stories would suit this show perfectly fine. Let Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl handle the continuous arcs. I just want to see the team on different misadventures throughout different time periods meeting characters that aren't able to get theri own show. Anyway, the cliffhanger ending was a let down too as I didn't feel compelled enough to continue watching this show when it returns in Jan. |

So I finally sat down and watched Suicide Squad.
Well it's definietly better than Batman VS Superman but man...it suffers through the same problems. It feels like this movie is trying to be both Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. This film still feels like it happened way too early, we really should've gotten the solo Affleck movie before this one. |
I haven't seen Gotham City Sirens get mentioned. Here's a part of the movie on Wikipedia
It was announced in December 2016 that Warner Bros. are developing a spin-off film adaptation of Suicide Squad based on Gotham City Sirens. The film is being fast-tracked into production, and will be a part of the DC Extended Universe. Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn and will executive produce the film. Suicide Squad director David Ayer will return to direct the film, while Geneva Dworet-Robertson has been hired to write the screenplay. Ayer tweeted an image of Harley Quinn alongside Catwoman and Poison Ivy, implying their involvement in the film. According to Mark Hughes of Forbes, production will probably start by summer 2017, with casting news early next year. Due to the film being under early stages of development, it's unclear whether the film will follow the storyline of the comics as mentioned by Mark Hughes. I hear Margot Robbie found a writer and got DC to hire them and convinced said writer to have Harley and Ivy in a relationship not just because it's probably THE most iconic lesbian duo in comics but because Margot HATED Leto and didn't want anything to do with him after filming for SS. Seriously, he sent used condoms and dead mice to her |
Yeah, my gf screamed when I told her this because she loved the comic and has every issue to it. There is no way WB is going to keep the comedic vibe the comic had going.
Hopefully they'll surprise us and give excellent castins for Riddler, Catwoman, and Ivy and keep it as accurate to the source material as they can. Wait, what am I saying? This IS WB... |
