Edit: Ouch. The reason is kind of a kick in the tail, too, considering we pre-paid. It's frustrating, as it must be for them, too.

I'm a bit bummed about it myself but its understandable also talk about first time preording bad luck XD. I feel for you guys who are missing out on the sid lockseed for this.

This is really unfortunate. I don't really mind having to use Mandarake for the Knuckle and Kurokage set, but it's the Sid Lockseed I'm worried about. That's going to be difficult to find and probably cost quite a bit.

I'm probably just gonna go the lazy/convenient way and go Amazon or Ebay for them and Sid, need to see how it is first.

The cheapest I've seen a Sid Lock Seed pre-selling for is $50. Going by the Bravo/Gridon set, the Knuckle/Kurokage set will probably be about $90 on Mandarake. So I guess I'm looking at around $100 more than I would have spent if this hadn't occurred.

Ouch. At around $90, I might end up passing on this altogether now, but I'll wait and see. But if the Sid Lockseed is already pre-selling for $50, I doubt I'll ever get that one. The more I've thought about it though, I'm not too terribly upset. The complete lack of significance the Sid Lockseed had in the show definitely weakened my interest in it.

I definitely feel where you're coming from. Unfortunately, I've become a total Lock Seed whore. :lol So I'll have to try tracking everything down. It will probably be cheaper now than in the long run.

I'm not as peeved about having to spend the money as I am the fact we pre-paid and they didn't have enough on their credit card to pay for the order from Bandai. I understand they're a small business and mistakes happen, but when I was running Mom and Pop stores our suppliers wasted no time in telling us when our card was declined. At least when I get screwed at HLJ, they don't already have my money. I do appreciate that they've owned up to it and acknowledge the error was theirs. I think that says a lot about them and the fact they're a Japanese company. I don't doubt that, in the end, they're decent folks. Despite that, I don't know that I'm going to be as forgiving as some of their devoted Facebook and Twitter followers seem to be.

It's been a very frustrating morning, even on top of the CSToys fiasco.

I wasn't one of those who was affected, I honestly think you shouldn't be too hard on Cstoys. They really did not waste any time as well, it's only been a day since he heard the news when he announced it. In comparison to HLJ at least they have addressed their mistake straight up, you will get your money refunded so in the end all you miss out on is a few toys and if you wait long enough they'll probably end up on mandarake anyway.

If this happened in HLJ you'd get no response for a few days and you'd get frustrating emails being vague and not offering any compensation. Hell Cstoys is offering gift cards as well for the inconvenience, yes you won't get the items you wanted but technically you go away from this incident better off.

Sorry if I come off a bit mad, but Cstoys by far has the best customer service of any online store that sells tokusatsu items. They have earned the right to be forgiven for this one mistake, one that even themselves could not ammend quickly because they were only just notified by the card company yesterday.

In your experience. This is my second negative issue with CS Toys, for a total of three missed out on items. The first wasn't that big of a deal because it was a standard release that I could eventually get somewhere else at a retail cost. This time, they're Premium Bandai products that are going to cost a fortune on the secondary market. I would be less upset if, as is usual in HLJ's case, I did not pre-pay for the products to be ensured I got them. Why did we pre-pay if not to guarantee the funds were on hand for them to order them?

I understand you feel loyal to them, that's great. Some people are still loyal to HLJ and some people love Nippon-Yasan. We don't all have the same experience with different retailers, so you can't assume everyone is starting from the same place with CS Toys. I've placed four orders with them, with two having been screwed up and so they have earned nothing when it comes to forgiveness with me. Just because another business is worse doesn't excuse this one. The ¥1,000 gift cards are a nice gesture, but that's really all they are. It won't begin to recoup what I will have to spend on the secondary market to get the items they failed to provide. You likely aren't going to understand that side of the equation as you weren't interested in getting them in the first place. The gift cards are especially useless to someone like me who has no interest in doing business with them moving forward.

As I said, you've been happy with your transactions with them and that's great. I have not had that experience. I also understand your frustration with people getting upset with a company you value, but this isn't coming out of a vacuum. I feel bad for them because their reputation and their bottom line are going to be hurt by this. That's too bad, but I will not be doing business with them again.

One of my FB buddy has pretty piss off at his pre-order from CSToys about the Lockseeds. Mr. S did made a video about it and was really sorry about it. I never had any issues with CSToys since both my mom (she uses it for my birthday and X-mas gifts) and I have a good history on the site. A bit pricey on the shipping, but I do like how they keep prices close to the same retail prices as they are in Japan. Unlike HLJ, my package that I used on SAL came in a week unlike waiting a month in shipping that I had with HLJ.

I'm a bit mixed on the Dark Gaim lockseed set, mostly because they're candy toys....plus I don't really want the oren lockseed. Also it's kinda odd that a candy toy set is a premium release.

Oh my bad sorry, well then still gashapon, they still don't have the spring mechanic and lack some features though so it's a bit odd they're premium releases.

Well, given the time they'll be released, Drive will be the new gimmick out, so it's most likely that they're focusing their resources on that. So, it'd be much easier for them to just reuse the cheaper Gashapon models rather than the DX versions.

Anyone get their refund from CSToys for the Premium Bandai lock seeds? I see they refunded about 20 of the 92 pre-orders but haven't done anything since Tuesday. Can't find an ETA on when the rest will be refunded.

I am kind of bummed that I'm not getting these seeds but I'm kind of done with Toku collecting at the moment so it's not too bad (plus I already have a candy toy version of Kurokage's lock seed...just need to get a Knuckle one and I'm pretty much done).

Can some one answer this question for me....? Because I am so lost.

So the DX Walnut and Pinecone lock seeds set were announced a long time ago, has any stores put up pre-orders for them? Because they're are due for release next month or are stores such as CStoys just not going to carry them? Or did I jsut miss out on pre-orders...?

Pre-orders have long since come and gone for those. In the case of CStoys, they borked their orders and inadvertently ended up screwing customers out of both this DX set and the Sid Lock Seed. The secondary market is the only option now, methinks.

Blarg.... There goes my luck of having fun with the Walnut lockseed.

I'm not sure what their schedule is for refunds, but I missed a notification about getting mine this morning. They're processing refunds in such a manner that we are apparently getting hit with all the PayPal fees. Considering the situation is their doing and what it's going to cost those of us in the long run who still want the items, making us responsible for the fees seems like another PR mistake. It's like a further twist of the knife, if you ask me.

I'm surprised at how quickly the SHF Gaim has dropped in price. Roughly $30, with the first order bonus pretty regularly at Mandarake these days.
