Eh. Never cared much for that series anyway and I don't have a strong desire to own figure of them. They look cool, but much like Tiger and Bunny I'll probably pass.

Cyborg 009 is one of my favorite anime series, and I am loving we're finally getting figuarts!

And Kivala Gashapon? Yes damn it thank you! Loved her in that Decade movie, and I am definately going to display her beside the Kivala I'm getting.

The show has been on my "to watch" list for like forever, I should probably get around to it sometime :lol

Very awesome. It actually had more aritculation that I was expecting. Didn't think it would be a brick, but it can do more that I thought it would. Also really nice how everything locks together rock solid. I have more pictures(even a few of Zolda assisting in the unboxing :lol), but after uploading and labeling them on MFC, I thought I'd just leave it at the final picture I took for now. After messing the Magnugiga, I'm really excited for the Genocider to come out.

Those are going to end up being the only two Ryuki things I get.

If Magnugiga is any indicator of Genocider then I will be VERY pleased. I love that Giga can turn into even larger ridiculous guns for Zolda to use. And I love the strike vent use of his head :lol

Apparently the general consensus with Red Buster is becoming that it's less than par for figuarts considerating its lack of flexibility and odd coloring in some parts.

Definitely. I've heard a few people speak well of him. But they are few and far between. Overall that figure is disappointing and I'm afraid the mold problems will carry over to yellow and blue. I'm hoping that by the time we get around to Stag and Beet they'll have corrected all of these issues. I mean not being able to pull off the roll call pose is just pathetic.

I have a feeling Beet and Stag will suffer similar limitations with shoulder movement due to the design with the harness but hopefully the designers will have figures a way around that. Given that their suits use black on the arms if Bandai continues to use black elbow joints they shouldn't look as bad.

There shouldn't be these issues at all. Bandai keeps touting this line as (And I quote directly from the box) "A new standard figure series that incorporates the Bandai action figure "Art" under the theme of "Pursuing Character Expression Through Humanoid Action". If you go through the trouble of having someone actually think of that as the tagline for your entire toyline than maybe you should work out these problems before the final product.

It's the same problem I have with Takara and Masterpeice. If you're going to call something 'Masterpeice', or in the case of Figuarts 'The New Standard', then every figure working off the line had better be perfect. Especially for the price point we keep shelling out.

Bandai has been making Figuarts now for alot of years. And toys for even longer. The fact these problems persist at all is troubling, and more than a little confusing. I understand that when Mass Producing something mistakes happen somewhere during the line. But that's why you hire people in QC. So I don't know if these problems are a production issue, a manufacturing issue, a devolopment issue, or a Quality Control personel issue. But whatever the issue they should've fixed it by now.

Now, I understand some figures will just have problems due to design. Gosei Knight and his arms, OOO and his ankles, and so on. Nothing can be done there and I'm not faulting them for that. Even if it wouldn't have been hard giving Knight an elbow swivel. What I am faulting them for is shoddy work. Bandai isn't some Third-Party working out of a garage with a 3D printer and a laptop. It's a huge multi-million dollar toy/video game company that sells internationally. These problems shouldn't happen. Yet they do.

And I don't see the solution being that difficult. Either replace your QC people with personel that can see, change your dyes because they can't match one color to another, or make sure the plastic you're using is durable and not paper. Maybe all of those. It only helps your brand in the long run.

If you're talking about the joints, then no. While an odd decision, that's just what is is: a decision. Bandai made a conscious effort to make those parts black, and that's the end of that.
But knowing my luck, I'm sure you're talking about something else. :lol

Meh, your complaints about Bandai are still only half of what I have been dealing with from Mattel over the last 3 years. If you collected MOTUC and DCU, you would see Bandai's stuff so insignificant that it is not even worth discussing.

I'm not. I'm talking about it's a different shade of red between his vest and arms. The black elbows don't bother me, that was a design choice.

Ah. You're right. Didn't notice that before. I could blame this on red paint going over different colors... but you know what? It's late, and I'll let you have that one. :p

And something I want to clear up.

I'm, by no means, saying Bandai is some Evil Multi-National Corporation that's bent on World Domination and Crappy Products. That's Wal*Mart. What I am saying is that these are little, often stupid, mistakes that can be easily corrected if they care enough to.

I enjoy most everything Bandai does. BoA's decision to have a Zord Builder system is a great idea. Already I'm trying to justift the astronomical prices for 2012 Megazord so I can combine it with Samurai and Megaforce Gosei Great. I enjoyed the entire Gundam line-up back when that was on Cartoon Network, and I love they're working with Bluefin to bring great toys stateside.

So it's not like I hate Bandai. These are just very simple problems that need very simple solutions they don't seem interested in doing. Is all.

He's right, the color thing isn't too noticeable. But everything else that's wrong with him is front and center :lol

To be honest, the only problem I can say really bugs me(this is from just looking at pics and reading reviews by the way) is the shoulders, and possibly the switching of the hands. Everything else is fine by me. The paint not matching is understandable, and I have no problem with him not coming with with the Ichigan Buster in camera mode and the Sougan Blade in binoculars mode(Ichigan Buster's camera mode was only used once in the show, and it was in civilian form. Sougan Blade's binoculars mode was never used once, ever. He never even transformed them as Red Buster, he just hit the Transpod and boom, gun and sword).

Odd, I thought the Diamond shipping list someone posted recently showed the Tiger was supposed to ship this past Wed, but my comic shop did not get it in yet.

It has something I've wanted to see since we first saw images of Red Buster since it's the first passing of the torch that can be done with Figuarts.
