How is it that you guy are able to put up with the boredom of hatching eggs? Do you do it in bursts over a couple days? Or in one big stretch?

I don't grind for shiny eggs. Too boring when I could be spending my time training my Pokemon up to be the best they ever can! :p

I spent every waking moment searching for Maya, Zoroark and Alicorn.
Though for Noibat i'm doing it in short bursts.

IVs are too tedious. If this was back during Gen 3 or 4, I'd tell you how, but nowadays, I can't even imagine how I did so :lol

It's tedious, yes, so the important thing is to not let it affect your enjoyment. Stop if it gets annoying. :D

Battling shouldn't be a numbers game. It should just come down to who spilled the most blood of their enemies~

At least not an Advanced numbers game. EV training helps make the stats best for combat allowing for more blood-spillage. A knight trained from birth or a serf training for revolution: who wins?

Though now that we have Super Training, I don't know how to EV train for Gen 6.:lol

But I do agree, IVs are pointlessly complicated and a 9-year-old could never figure them out. EVs maybe,but not IVs!
