On a completely different topic, the last couple of days I've been thinking that I'd love to see a Seihou Akaranger. I feel in two minds about it, because of all the Sentai releases SHF did he's by far the one that needs it the least? He's the one that came out last around the time of the Gaim figuarts and it really shows in how much more advanced his sculpt is. The other good thing about his release around that time is that it's before SHF stopped doing a stupid good amount of accessories, which a potential Seihou may come up short in. Proportionally he's great and his details and sculpt are pretty on-point too.
... but also, man, to see him brought up to modern standards and to see all of the 'Big 3' originals in Seihou alongside each other? It would just be sick I think. There's also a big issue the original has in that its cape is just one solid plastic piece with not even alternate options, and in the position it's in it can even get in the way of articulation -- and MAN can you imagine an Akaranger with a wired cape?? Ungodly good. Not a strict necessity, and for sure the likes of Gokai Red or Shinken Red or Red Hawk need an update far far more but I'd love to see it |
Ichigo Sakurajima is my grail. I adore that suit, and I know unless it got a reissue, I'll likely never get it.
|
Personally, as I plan to collect all the base forms of the Saber Riders (except for Solomon and Storious), my 'holy grail' right now would be a Figuarts release of Falchion.
I don't currently own Figuarts (not a materialistic person) but the Saber Riders are my favorite suit designs so I plan to just get their Figuarts and that's it. SHF Evol is very tempting but I don't like the idea of owning something I don't plan to touch much. I would be very thrilled to own Falchion to acquire all of the eleven holy swords, but I'm quite happy with what's revealed already so even if Falchion is never made I'll be fine. |
On a similar note to what Deathryuger is asking; what would you guys say is a fair price for a complete boxed (but used) Seihou Ratoratah? I was surprised at how high he goes on Manda, usually about 12,000 yen. Further, what would you say is a decent price without the purple-eyed Taka head? I do have it but it would be the thing I miss most from selling the figure, so I'm considering keeping it

Bit the bullet and bought Terror Dopant, Drive Type Tridoron(both versions) and Aquarius Zodiarts, my girlfriend bought me Taboo Dopant, so that leaves the new Espada and Shocker 6-mook set, and I will be caught up to almost everything SHF Rider. Finally after 6 1/2 years of nonstop collecting.

The standard for 85.00 plus shipping, and Tire Kamikaze for 122.00 plus shipping minus 18.00 because shop owed me. Finally getting both these stupid red awesome figures. |

As I understand it, Type Trideron was a very premium product at the time. All the tampo printing, paint applications, and accessories made it a very good value figure that Bandai was barely making anything on. Those kind of rumors lead to basically guaranteeing the figure would never get reprinted. Not to mention the dubious availability of Final Forms in general.
I must admit that its one of my least favorite Heisei final forms (I'm way more partial to Type Formula), but again as time goes on I appreciate it more now. |

Still I find it strange that this had a much lower production for both versions than say... Grateful. A to reprinting: Bandai generally doesn't do reprints of TWE figures anyway, outside of Godzilla. So that feels a bit irrelevant to me. |
^ this.
So far the only actual TWE reprint of a figuart has been Ohma Zi-O, and that was the result of a fan poll. One could argue the upcoming Blu-Ray set LunaTrigger and HeatMetal count but both are noted to have new paint jobs so they can’t really be considered reprints. So far reissues that we have had have been Retail Kamen Rider releases or “anniversary” versions like 50th Ichigo and Nigo (both of which have paint job changes) or Wizard (which does have a new stand, but is largely unchanged from the original SS) |
It's strange, because right next to it is SHF Ultraman which DOES consistently do reprints - and a whole load of them at that, without any need for 'anniversary edition' branding and an extra stand. Granted, I haven't seen them do any Preban reprints...

My face when Shin Ultraman is doing great globally but no word on Figuarts Shin Gabora yet.

Well, got the shipping charge from NNG for Jeanne, now to wait for them to actually ship her.
Oi, if this is any indication on how they handle exclusives I might get Suiko no Shin just in time to get charged for the US release versions I'm getting from Tokullector and BBTS. |
Getting some toys for a change.

That King Joe box is nice and thick!
|
Very nice!! Z Original is a really nice release -- kind of simple but deceptively fun through the sheer amount of neat alternate hands he has. The inclusion of his beam alone puts him above most recent retail Toku SHF releases.
I'll admit I've heavily been considering Delta Rise Claw... I've been keeping my Ultras to just Ultraman, Tiga and Z Original but sometimes a good final form just calls out to you. It looks really nice! |
Stoked to almost be caught up to the latest releases from SHF, after grabbing Espada Arabia Knight from FB KR group member *the Man*, Barry Chan.
Possibly found a Shocker World Domination set. A Facebook Kamen Rider+ member might’ve found it in a Japanese shop, now hopefully it’s still for sale and I can stop searching. Then gonna have to do THE GREAT REARRANGING and take pics of these space-taking wallet-crunching things Great time to be a fan of useless vinyl playthings! |
Greetings! My SS Den-O suffered a cat attack, and the rod weapon is MIA. It's been a few months, so now I've decided I would like to replace the spare black runner I've been using as his weapon with some form of a replacement. I'd ideally love to buy a new weapon, but I know that's not ideal. Any recommendations besides buying an older Den-O or the figurise kit?

SHF Upgrade now offering an LED head for Revi.

I wonder what will fall apart first on these lame things. I detest bootleg toy makers |
I'm not sure if we talked about this already, but this will be the PrebanLab-stream for this month, so expect a Black Sun-kinda stream with the only focus being Shin Kamen Rider.

I could definitely see it. Hopefully if this month's actual preban slots include Riderman they won't drop him on me with no warning like Sabela and Genm Musuo...
|
I don't condone KOs but in Eternal's case considering how absurd his aftermarket price has gotten and remained and how Bandai seems to refuse to bother reissuing him, I see no other way to get him for a non-bankrupting price...
In this party's case, their KO W is apparently fairly passable aside from some slight looseness. |
One of the small benefits of KOs, is that is lights a fire under a company's arse to get them to meet the demand the KO is going after. Happens all the time with Transformers.
So with any luck this means an Eternal reissue. |
I can definitely see Bandai reissuing SS Eternal... with a full season Fuuto PI Blu-ray set that costs $500.

Random Zenkaiser pre-order on AmiAmi if anyone still needs this one!

Perfect timing to go alongside Don Momotaro. |
Oh sick, so even Sentai is doing figure re-issues like that already!
|
I think this is just additional stock from AmiAmi specifically? Do other shops have it? Then again, I saw some Zenkaiser ads from Tamashii with an October date attached.
It used to be so easier like 5 years ago when they actually announced that they were doing reissues. And not just throw them out without warning. Then again, it's better than not getting stuff like this at all. |
So I finally got Jeanne in and I'm... mixed.
She is, by far, one of the most flexible Rider figures I've ever handled, and her joints are definitely the smoothest (though I know that's not necessarily a figure design's fault). I'm quite pleased there. However, something about the design of her hips and shoulders makes me nervous. And I'm disappointed that for all her flexibility, she lacks the ability to do a high kick, but that's just me. Now to wait for Aguilera and figure out what to do for weaponry... |
