Three words: Blitzkrieg Really Soon.

Well I'm 25 episodes into DaiRanger and as always, I cannot get enough of it. However, I am getting sick of HS' files, so I might go back to Nihon for the rest of the show. The subs have had constant spelling errors, names being incorrectly translated (Kirin is Qilin, Rin is Lin) or half translated (ByakkoShinken is ByakkoSword instead of White Tiger Sword), the audio is out of synch in a few places, and their audio seems to have issues. I had an episode where I had to turn the volume up double of what I had it on just to get it to sound like the other episodes. Nihon may not translate everything, but at least they don't have these issues.

Kirin and Qilin are both acceptable names for the same creature. Neither are a spelling error.

Well if it is up after I finish Kiva then you solve my problem!

Yup. R's and L's are entirely interchangeable in the Japanese language. Same sound and all that.

On and on. Those were just examples I could think of.

I just finished Episode 20 of Goseiger, i feel like the nerd in this episode so much, i wish Power rangers would encourage me to date a girl.

How does it become TaJaDol when the last part is Condor? lol

I know, but they spell his ranger name as Kirin and spell his animal as Qilin. It just ruins consistency, especially since Toei's spelling is officially Kirin. Same goes for Rin. Everything Toei has of her name spelled in English is Rin, NOT Lin.

Nevertheless, that doesn't explain their mispellings and stuff. I mean, they used break when the guy was talking about not being able to get his brakes to work in the Father Magnet episode.

I'm not defending it. I'm just justifying it (Though, they should pick one spelling and stick with it for consistency's sake. I agree).

There's no defending typos and spelling mistakes, though.

Because R and L are interchangeable sounds in the Japanese language. R sounds and is spoken exactly the same as L in their language. So even though it's Condor it can also be seen as Condol.

I know they're interchangeable phonetically in Japan, but it still irks me when it's written by an English speaker as "TaJaDol."

or like with Kamen Rider Kabuto's movie. we say it like this: God speed Love, but it's pronounced like this: God speed Rove.

Alright watched episodes 35-43 of Dairanger, and man they waste time in this show too much filler and DaiRyuJin feels like a waste. However I did like the 3 Idiots/Shouji, Ryou/Jin, and Daigo/Kujaku arcs though.

Episodes 3 and 4 of ZyuRanger loved the Legendary Weapons Arc of it. Geki is slowly becoming on of my favorites and the same with Goushi.

Watched episode 6 and 7 of DekaRanger. I absolutely fucking love Sen he is totally awesome, was kind of slow with the Jasmine episode.

I think it's probably "Qilin" and "Kirinranger" rather then sticking to one because "Qilin"is generally accepted as the English translation for the beast which comes form the Chinese word which is pronounced "Ch'i-lin", while "Kirin" is a direct romanization of the Japanese word. I'm starting Dairanger today (yay) so I'm not sure if I'm correct, but I assume it's "Ryuranger" and "Dragon" rather then "Dragonranger" and "Dragon" or "Ryuranger" and "Ryu" and similarly with "Houhouranger" and "Phoenix", so it is keeping things consistent. The rangers keep the romanization of the Japanese pronunciation, while the mythical beasts get their accepted English names, which are all derived from Chinese mythology.

Also, "Kirin" in Japanese also means "Giraffe", so they could be avoiding people confusing the Qilin with a Giraffe too, I guess.

Waste time in this show? Episodes 37-50 are nothing but story. In fact, the only filler in the show are really episodes 2, 11, 12, 23, 32, and 34. Everything else is centered around the main plots and sub plots. In fact, DaiRanger is probably the only Sentai series that isn't full of filler (one of the many reasons it is my favorite Sentai series).

So all that stuff with Jin, Kujaku, the Idiot Brothers and the whole gap of Kou being missing and let's do all this stuff in between pays off in the end?

I am actually enjoying the show just think the execution of something is bad.

Also Kaku is the worst mentor ever so far.

Only the Kou stuff is integral to the plot. The Jin and Idiot Brothers stuff does have great pay off (Jin especially, he's one of the best Sentai side characters ever) but neither are exactly essential things.

While the San Bakas is debatable, they still all have an impact on the rangers and their outcome towards the end. And Jin is essential because he was the reason Ryuu grew.

Ah okay just making sure. I enjoyed the Jin sub plot honestly especially the last one when Ryou was taking care of him. the Idiot Brothers I liked the end of their episode I liked what they did for Shouji.

So the point of these episodes was to evolve each character right?

Watched Gaoranger episode 2 and really enjoyed it, I think this might be my next Sentai I watch probably.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just finished DaiRanger again. So a great series that I can never get sick of. I'll definitely be sticking with watching Nihon's subs from now on though, as the grammatical and spelling errors in HS' were just atrocious. There was on instance they had Kou's mother telling the rangers that Kou's father was from the Dai Tribe, Kaku told the rangers to do something instead of don't do it, and then they were supposed to say behind instead of stay behind.

Anyway, on to MMPR Season 2 (well, when I get back from AX that is).

Nothing pays off.

Yep. And don't listen to Shockercon. He forgets that if it weren't for Ryo and gang, the next generation would not have the Rairai balls, the Kiden Beasts, etc.

Hazah! Gaoranger is an EXCELLENT show. I will preach the epicness of it all day long :D

GaoRanger was my first Sentai and I enjoy it. It is definitely one of the weaker series, but not a bad series.

I'd argue it's one of the strongest actually. Great core team, awesome and tormented 6th, very awesome mecha with tons of mix and match capability, and Yabiba and TsueTsue are 2 of my favorite generals ever.

It depends. In my rankings, it would be somewhere between 15-20 most likely.

The beginning of episode 23 of Goseiger, i had to pause the video and i laughed for like 5 minutes before i continued, it was so funny. It feels like the cast and crew were just having a blast with this episode.

Enjoyed episode 3 of GaoRanger a lot. I love GaoRed and Gao Yellow so far. Also enjoying GaoWhite. Excited to see more with GaoBlue and Black next.

Yellow, Red, and Silver wound up being some of my favorite sentai heroes. Yellow is just such a badass.

Kakuranger 30-31
The grand finale to the Shit Gets Real Arc. If you remember the first fight from Power Rangers between Rito and the Ninja Megazord, then some of this will look familiar. We get some nice plot progression including two new villains. Not a lot to say without spoilers. I'm going to miss Junior, he was surprisingly cool. Sandayuu, not so much.

We're back to the catdrugs! We got a monster that collects faces. Wonder if him and Movie Prime compare collections. Anyways, there's this little girl who wants to get her face stolen so that she can draw a "manga face" on the blank white left. Because that's how that works. What makes this so enjoyable is that's exactly what happens. :lol

PS Is "manga face" a euphemism? It sounds like a euphemism.

just finshed watching Season of akiba ranger episode 12 and 13 episode 12 was a ver concluded episode with alot of refferace to non toei shows I.e Ultraman being the main one also the Ending was Sad as well want spoil it for people that have not seen it. 13 was another Clip Show but one that was really Said sue t you see the akiba Rangers as Gohsts Meaning they diedso if the guy that has his name in the credits want a season 3 they will com back alive again

Watching episode 19 of Kyoryuger. I've seen weird Ranger monsters before but this... my head tilted when i saw it for the first time. And the biggest surprise for me is that Daigo actually seemed badass for a sec. This episode pretty much cemented 2 things into my mind.

1:Utchy my favorite 6th ranger in sentai.

2:I need the Pteraidenoh figure.
