Iceman fans who are curious as to why a guy who tried so hard to split Havok and Polaris up (besides the fact that Havok is an asshole) is now suddenly gay because Jean Grey (really Bendis) says so.

Also because they imply simply having repeated failed straight relationships=you're really gay. And that Old Jean and Prof. X knew what Bobby was secretly going through, and didn't support him in any way despite claiming to care for him, since he pushed himself into the armored closet out of fear. Like they aren't already targeted by giant killer robots already.

I am gonna be afraid for Stan Lee's characters if Lee dies and Bendis then tries to have his way with changing them because Bendis wants changes.

Honestly, part of me is curious if Bendis made Iceman gay partly because of that annoying "WE NEED MORE GAY CHARACTERS! MORE GAYS MORE PROGRESSIVE! WHO CARES IF ITS TOKEN?! YOURE A HOMOPHOBE!" thing (seriously, if you want to make a gay character, cool, go ahead, nothing's stopping you. But please don't do it so tokenly. No one likes tokens. At all. like, i remembher when Stan said he was super okay with new characters being X thing or Y race, he just wanted pre-established characters to stay the same, and people gave him flack for it.

like you said, if you wanna make a progressive character, go ahead and make one.

THIS. So many idiots forget that and try to just put some stupid social message behind it that's soapboxing and iritating to the point anyone reading will go "Will you shut up?! I don't care." and you lose all the old readers who just want some escapist fiction that sometimes subtly touch on actual social issues while also trying to gain more readers interested in lots of social issues but who don't care enough about progressive changes to comics to actually start reading them. You set yourself up to fail on both fronts.

I picked up Invincible Iron Man #1 on Wednesday.

If I had a stable source of income, I'd totally follow the series. As it stands, I'm hoping I can just get the entire first arc.

With Uncanny 600 finally out... it was okay, I mean it was fun as usual, tons of great character moments, but with the whole Terrigen killing Mutants idea introduced in the other book, it's kind of hard to see which storyline will be followed.

Vision on the other hand is amazing! It's one of the most interesting ways they've handled his psychology so far in my opinion, simply great all around.

So Rob Liefeld is back at Marvel... yay?

The newest episode has them facing symbiotes, but I think Venom in USM is just a Doc Ock creation or something like that. It's weird.

No, the new cartoon is supposed to take place in the MCU or some variation of it.

The events of the movie happened in the cartoon, but the show is not part of the MCU nor will it affect the sequels.

But the wiki treats it as part of the animated universe.
