Since this shows they're following the order the respective Super Minipla sets were released, this should mean that the next SHODO SUPER sets after this will be Megaranger and then Jetman (in-between complementary sets for future SMP releases, of course)

Shodo-XX is really good. It's probably going to get me ordering these dudes by the case from now on. :lol Great comparison shots to show the improvements, such as on Black and Kuuga. I'm also surprised they got the body suit texture on both Zero Ones.

It's YU-DO and a PB set. Honestly, I was kind of expecting these to be in wave 2 of YU-DO since Zenkaiger's 2nd wave was so packed.

Kakuranger has me excited! Definitely considering going for them now!

MAN those look incredible! Eye was immediately drawn to Luka but they all look fantastic. They get harder to resist every day...

So keen for kakuranger, my most anticipated set for this line.

Just as a reminder too, XX3 and its accompanying Outsider wave is where the results of the poll will show up -- meaning a LOT of OOO figures. Aside from the already-confirmed (and obvious) Tatoba I'm thinking Tajador, Eternity, Birth and Proto. Possibly split between XX3 and XX4 the way this line's been going

I hope CJX isn't the only W figure in the wave. Maybe Trial as well? I like the way the waves kind of pour over into the next. XX was Kuuga, 01, and Black/RX, with XX2 having another 01 form and RX's alts whilst introducing W, now XX3 has a W form and will possibly have either a 01 or Kuuga alt whilst bringing in another series. (likely OOO as you said)

I finally finished my Kuuga So-do Chronicle set (feat. Haro and some EVA-frame figures.) I didn't do anything special with them, but they're neat.

Ultimate Revice looks great. Looks like they spent a lot of time on the plastic color to and it looks all the better for it. Can't wait to see Geats next week.

By9 is out and I'm seeing some examples of case assortments on Twitter. Looks like the dupes are either Destream and Crimson Vail or EvilityLive and Aguilera. Seems Destream and Crimson Vail are the more common dupes, at least the ones I've ssen in pictures.

That's slightly surprising considering Over Demons has multiple users, so he's the one you might want to have more than one of if any... though at the same time I know WAY more people would want Destream or Aguilera so I definitely get the decision :p

I would've shortpacked Crimson Vail since he only appeared in the one episode, but I get it, he pairs with Destream.

I'm hoping Invincible Jeanne is in this wave to because she needs PVC for the hair and they can use that on Geats to. Make the fox mask and maybe the scarf PVC. Or use the clear plastic for the mask. I just don't want the holes to be filled with hard opaque plastic if there's another option.

Speaking of Geats, the clear masks on Ultimate Revice proves that SO-DO can do removable masks and that's what I want to see on Geats figures so that we don't see another Saber situation where every form needs a completely new head when it's just a portion of the helmet changing (in this case, just the mouth).

The first wave will release on October 3. First reveals are entry forms for Geats and Tycoon, as well as Geats Magnum Boost. The form change gimmick will be incorporated by switching out the bottom and top halves as well as the chin on all figures

The accessory loadout so far is actually quite impressive! Likely because of their intense simplicity, Geats Entry and Tycoon Entry come with stuff we'd usually see way later. Tycoon comes with closed-hole fists (!!) as well as the pink hammer and blue shield there -- though the armour for their forms is coming in wave 4. Geats Entry comes with the rifle mode of the Magnum Shooter 40X as well as alternate Desire Drivers with single plates

These look pretty cool, and it's nice that they feature a half-swap gimmick (though not quite as versatile as as the gimmick line). Will be cool to see forms like MagnumMagnum and BoostBoost once wave 2 rolls around and I do wonder how far they'll take the additional heads for form swapping.

Rant in 3... 2... 1...
To be honest the way they do accessories is rather frustrating, seeing as some characters don't come with their own accessories and instead are included with another, often completely unrelated) figure which is a pain in the butt for anyone not playing completionist on the line. The fact that the shield and hammer are included with Entry Tycoon and the armours being released separately is also somewhat baffling, seeing as the armours are literally defined by the weapon they should be paired with.

The blog veeeerrryyy briefly mentioned this. They could not include the armors in this first wave (they didn't really specify why) but decided to make the weapons in advance anyway

And on that note, I noticed two things about the Magnum Shooter. One - they only showed it in rifle mode, so either the smaller form is yet to be revealed with the entire box layout; or its packed in with the next wave, Boost Magnum pershaps. Two - The rifle might not even be in the Geats Magnum Boost boxes :

Yeah SO-DO was never really meant to be a heavy collectible thing. They are still your grocery store impulse buys where getting an extra accessory is a difference of $4 and mixing and matching sets is down to whatever the store has.

For us importers, these box dispersions are hard on the wallet. Having to buy full cases of these things for just 1 or 2 figures is a real bummer sometimes.

I was actually also going to bring that first bit up, but while the extra accessory could add to the price, it might also be frustrating for a kid who wants their favourite Rider and their gear to have to buy a figure who you might not want just as much as it is for a foreign collector, seeing as though they are impulse purchases most parents probably won't get their kid everything they want.

I have a bad feeling that the weapon armor in ID4 will be 1-2 copies of the armor and a bunch of sticker options because the only thing that changes on those armor are the symbols and the color. I hope that's not the case, but I can't think of another reason to not put the weapons with the armor they go with.


On the positive side of things, I love how the head split apart. Tycoon even comes with a spare helmet and Magnum eye stickers for it. The tiny arm guns on Magnum are nice. I thought they'd be another set of arms later, but they got them in the base figure.

I mentioned this above; they do say that both those and the single-plated Drivers come with Geats Entry

D'OH. Gotta learn how to read better

Still, it is very ironic for the team to be proud of releasing the main weapon in the first wave yet packing it outside of the main suit set

It is pretty funny yeah, haha. On the other hand it does mean that the simplicity of the Entry suits means we're gonna see a lot more accessories a lot earlier than usual -- closed-hole fists in Wave 1 is pretty shocking

I feel very fortunate to work a few blocks from a Japanese grocery store that gets SO-DO and Mini Pla figures in. I usually go once a week and check to see which figures they have. I'm probably going to grab a Geats when it drops, and I've been waiting for the Mini Pla Don Momotaro Alter extra stuff (the train and LuPat stuff) to come out.

Interesting to see a pommel already included on the hammer! Remember when we had to wait ages and multiple waves for the Saber riders to have those?

Oh, and something else I forgot to note -- Tycoon Entry comes with two heads! This is specifically so you don't have to choose between blank eye stickers for his Entry form and red eye stickers for Magnum in this wave

The hammer is a repaint of the one included in Chronicle Gridon, which was one of the few weapons that had a hilt/pommel extension IIRC

Main rider, secondary rider, both final forms of the previous main and "secondary" and the shiny gold Juuga. The last 3 being rather technically impressive for SO-DO.

Wait, no duplicates? This might actually be a SO-DO case I preorder. It's a pretty solid starting lineup for Geats as well as providing Revice's final form and villain Rider.

Are we back to 12 boxes in the whole wave? I thought 14 would stick around for sure, with last wave's 10 being an odd victim of happenstance

That website never states case size, just shows the full line up. There's only 12 different boxes in this wave. That said, just found the listing on Amazon Japan and it is a case 14, so there's two duplicate boxes in the case (I assume Magnum Boost).
