Yeah, the characters in Cinderella Girls can be...hit or miss. A lot of them start out really annoying, but they do get development eventually so I end up being mostly ok with them. Anzu and the Producer are the best characters, anyway.

Love Live! is pretty good, but it always bothered me how poor they were at handling their large cast of characters. Hanayo got like, no focus whatsoever. Rin was completely neglected and unnecessary for the entire first season. And Maki...also never got any focus.

Way too much Honoka focus, basically.

wake up girls is my fave serise that first episode basicle the movie that folows up with 12 ep season. also the first anime to get launch of a filme with sub streaming with crunchyroll.

Finished Mikagura School Suite. Wasn't bad. Now I'm going to suck it up and watch StrikerS.

i watch strikers few month back after being the same boat as you. it not a bad show once it get past first episode get back being the nanoha and lover fate show

Yeah it was weird how Love live with having less character still has focus issues, not the same people who made but still less characters should mean it is easier to manage time between them but then both I have seen so far seem to main character syndrome so some characters give extra screen time and focus over others.

I made the comparison between love live and Cinderella girls is how I recall the first live in Love live and how they kept going from that despite anyone showing up or anything and with all the stuff they Got in Cinderella girls and Mio wants to quit because it didn't live up to her expectations and it really annoyed which is why I am heading back to Cinderella girls later after I actually complete the first one.

Yeah I really don't like Mio and that made me withhold watching a series, that doesn't often.

Mio is pretty annoying, no argument there. She pulls some seemingly equally petty stuff in the second season too...she's not great.

Cinderella Girls also suffers from some really heavy handed directing. Like, the episode after Mio quits, it's all super gray and cloudy, pouring rain. It's like telegraphing "SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED CAN YOU TELL" and it's kinda obnoxious.

Cinderella Girls looks like it has some main character favoritism going on in the first half, and it's true somewhat, but after the Mio debacle they pretty much shift all focus from the main trio to the other girls.

I finish Baka and Test season 2 last night. Now I have the OVA's to finish and I'm done with the series. I really love this series, I already miss the characters since they where all memorable and the humor was very funny in this series.

Mio does more petty crap.... Oh goddamn, sigh..... Okay bottom of the list she goes then.

If the other characters get more focus aka everyone that isn't Mio at the moment, I want to get more of Kaede since she is voiced by one of my favourite japanese voice actresses.

I also did check out a bit of that next episode, it is super unsubtle that sad things are happening.

I have been ranting a lot with this but I don't really rant that much over things, most of the time.

cant remeber with the anime based on a light novel or a manga and if the light novel or manga still going on

Kaede...she's not one of the main thirteen, so unfortunately beyond cameos we don't see much of her at all. She does get a little focus in one episode of the second season, though.
