Revi and Seihou Ultraman for me. Perfect-looking figures really

Ark-Zero for being an extremely detailed yet perfectly functional figure with some great accessories.

Black Sun for fantastic sculpting and articulation.

Evil for its simple but striking form change ability.

SS Ultraman for just being an overall perfect Ultraman figure.

Zero-Two for being a beautiful-looking piece.

Zenkaizer and Zenkaizer Black for rolling a lot of these other figure's positives together on-top of being an extremely strong return of Super Sentai to SHFs.

For Toku SHFs specifically?

Easy. Seihou OOO Sagozo.

Wow it looks like I didn't pick up any SHF that were released this year.

I did grab some older ones recently, Espada and Sevenger. Both are lovely!

Still waiting on my pre-order for the Double Fuuto release, and unfortunately SHF Don Momotaro got lost in the mail.

For stuff that released this year that I own:

For me Jeanne, Demons, and although he's a rerelease but 10th Anniversary Seihou Decade...I can't stop looking at them all and want to pose them in different ways in my head

Honorable mention because I've been waiting so long for him to be confirmed for release goes to Build Genius

Revi and Vice as well are fun to mess with and look dynamic in addition to the accessories shared between each release of the Revice line

Past stuff released that I got this year:

Kamen Rider Calibur is a straight beauty to look at that purple just pops and balances well

Kamen Rider Rogue is fun to pose and mess around with as well and happy to have the base form Team Build Riders

Honorable mentions to the Saber Riders I picked up this year Espada, Slash, and Buster pretty much imo all figuarts from the Saber line look great and stand out on their own but when displayed together really make me appreciate having them

Seihou Ultraman, Demons, Ark-Zero and Zenkaizer for me.

We had lots of amazing releases this year so cherry picking is hard, but I figured I'd choose one of each franchise I'm collecting. Or two :lol

Kamen Rider Demons looks flawless, superb sculpting, molding and paint. It's a huge presence on the shelf just standing there.

Seihou Ultraman is equally awesome in sculpt and molding, but just holding and articulating him is even more fun. Getting him into the Specium Beam pose was so cool. Plus, the scan of Bin Furuya worked so well, the left hand molded in his signature curve for the beam pose is so cool. This one gets minus points for a fuzzy paintjob though. Too many points on the figure where the transition between the silver and red is just bad, and some sprinkles of paint where they shouldn't have been. The "regular" retail Ultraman figures I've got recently did this way better, and some had to balance three colors, so there's no excuse for this one to suck at it.

Ark-Zero was my most recent addition and won me over instantly, it's awesome, with lots of cool accessories to boot. This is also my mental stepping stone for the future Ark-One which I'm super excited for, and since this is the base for that I'm happy it turned out so well.

Sentai Figuarts coming back is huge, I got two, both are great, but I like Zenkaizer's design more. It's so good. Also, the sculpted folds on his pants and boots are awesome!

Definitely excited for 2023, I have lots of cool things pre-ordered already; the Geats-line especially is shaping up to be quite fantastic.

I'm definitely happy about the return of Sentai figuarts and both Zenkaiser and Don Momotaro look great and seeing you guys photos of them everytime definitely makes me want to make them priority on my list.

Hopefully their prices stay low going into 2023 but I for sure have plans to get Gokai Red and Twokaiser. Don Murasame being our first purple figuart release feels like a must have

I see them in-stock frequently so they shouldn't be too hard to grab in the near future.

I haven't watched Gokaiger but I think I will go for Gokai Red anyways. It looks really good.

Yikes you haven't watched Gokaiger...imo I found it very entertaining and the characters enjoyable...I just felt the series took itself serious and was a welcomed change of pace or execution for Super Sentai that I hadn't seen before because I haven't watched all prior Sentai seasons in full to know if they had before.

I guess what I'm trying to say is the series has a good balance of seriousness and comedy

I attribute the series and the figuarts for helping me transition from Power Rangers to Super Sentai in terms of viewing preference now. I'd recommend giving the first episode a watch because it definitely set the tone for the series

I mean, what if I watch t beforehand, like it a lot, and then don't get a pre-order in? That would be devastating. No thanks. If I try pre-ordering it but fail without having seen the show, that won't be so much of an issue.

My Kamen Rider figuarts collection has over taken everything else I collect from other lines and series. I don't even have a gotta have 'em all mindset with collecting but there's just so many nice designs that translate well to figure form

Yeah, the toys were what made me watch the shows in the first place. I saw all those colorful and fun looking figures and had to know where they came from! :D

Thankfully a video game forum I used to visit at the time had an off-topic thread dedicated to Kamen Rider and the wonderful people there showed me the ropes. I'll never forget you, SanoBaron and CybermanWorf! Those were the days. So much fun discovering everything about Kamen Rider.

Not that is any less fun with all the amazing stuff to watch nowadays!

My main takeaway from watching this is that I liked the Revice-line much more than I thought. I got Revi & Vice in late, but I really like them. Vice especially for some weird reason.

I'm ready to dive into more, the Destream prototype looks awesome. And please - Kamen Rider Vail! That design is so cool.

The Revice stuff has been consistently solid since Revi and Vice dropped. I've enjoyed every single one I've gotten. Can't wait for Live next year so the Igarashi siblings are finally united.

Oh was Kenzan this year? I picked that up this year so that will be my top pick then!

It's a great figure that looks speedy and the soft plastic was used to great effect on the boots.

Honorable mention for Nin Nin Comic since it's my favorite of the haul from my trip

Zenkaizer looks perfect and I'm glad it did well enough to continue the line into Don Brothers and now even SS Sentai renewals. Had I not decided to ship Don Momotaro until next month, that figure would've made the list since I absolutely love that show much, much more. BUT Zenkaizer deserves the recognition for making all that possible

The Revice line had a really strong showing this year. Fully detailed belts + gimmick items, excellent sculpts, wide assortment of characters + upgrades, and all released in a single year. These three are my favorite of the bunch

I never thought I'd grow a soft spot for Ichigo, but no collection is complete without the one that started it all. Shinkocchou Seihou truly is Tamashii at it's absolute peak. I probably used up all my luck by finding this piece though ...

Holy sh*t your Ichigo looks beautiful...were you able to get him for at cost since you mentioned you had a recent visit to Japan?

I just can't overpay that much for him and hope Bandai considers doing a retail release since he'll sell out either way just like the 50th Anniversary Ichigo release did but come on give the fans a better chance to own that fig for at cost

Yep Kenzan released in January and I forgot both him and Buster released back to back and then Slash released in March.

I certainly look forward to getting him but it looks like his price is starting to hover around 6000 yen with each listing I've seen recently and occasionally 5500 yen on Mandarake

What did they end up doing for the Sakurajima Version? I could see them doing something similar.

With that out of the way, what are you guys hoping to see in 2023? The Geats line looks stacked and I hope they can release as many as Revice did this year. I have a good feeling Monster Punk-Jack will get a figure. They'd probably spin it as having even more options for the Geats form change. I can also see Command be two giant sets, and it would be nice if they include the visors for the entry forms as well

On the renewal side I really hope they ride (hehehe) the Ryuki and Faiz anniversary hype and finally give us those figures. I can't stand seeing that old and spindly Ryuki on my shelf anymore !

Oh! I certainly hope they go wild with renewals for Ryuki and Faiz. Kamen Rider Knight with some sort of wired cape would be fantastic!

I would love to see an Onisister SHF, and the boy Don Dragoku has grown on me, I want to see him or Torabolt or both get an SHF, but not before Onisister! I would like to see an SS from Boukenger, Abaranger, or Akibaranger haha. And we need Stacaesar at this point - let?s stop kidding around and get serious!

As for Kamen Rider: one day when I got out of the shower, ?SHF Ichijo With Real Human Hair? was written on the mirror, but I?m sure it didn?t mean anything.

EDIT: Oh and the build SHF line is fantastic! I recently got ahold of Great Cross-Z and it is beautiful! I really like Build Genius even if it is a bit hard to come up with a pose for him with all that stuff.

Oh yea, BigInJapan. They're my go-to for preorders, and I haven't had a bad experience with them yet. They're very reliable with sending my packages, and even were willing to cancel a couple of preorders after I decided to back out of them because of varying reasons (though there was like, a year and a half difference between them). They don't have a warehouse from what I understand, so that might be a dealbreaker since they don't have the room to store them for long.

Yea, the Geats line looks like it's going to be great. I'm personally really hoping for a SHF Glare soon. Would be great if Glare came with parts for when his mind control masks are off his body, a mind control mask(s) that can be put onto the other Riders (doesn't need to be the same number, just one or two would probably be enough), and his mind control mask-acting-as-drones (as seen in #16).

Na-Go Beat is also one I'm looking forward to a lot. Hopefully her guitar holding hand will be good at holding it up since it doesn't have a strap. Speaking of Na-Go, I hope they'll make a female variant of the Entry Form SHF too. Another thing I kind of wonder/hope we'll get is an accessory kit, like different Rider helmets and Armed forms (though I don't know how they'd do that, since it doesn't seem like the Entry Form SHF doesn't have a removable chest plate).

And I really want Blade renewals (especially for Blade King Form), Gaim renewals (though they've held up pretty long compared to other SHFs, but I want a new Lord Baron SHF), and Fourze renewals (he's so small compared to newer ones). Super Sentai side, I really, really, really hope we'll get all of the King-Ohgers, even if the likelihood seems impossible so far, since we've yet to complete Zenkaiger and Donbrothers.

Ultraman X - this is one of my favorite shows, so I would love to see his final form Exceed X as an SHF. You know what else was cool on this show? The Kaiju Greeza. Let?s do it with an SHF.

Ultraman Geed - Geed Solid Burning. Maybe they could include some steam effect pieces? This form was awesome though, and it?s a shame we did not get the figure.

We need a Kemurjin or an Alien Zetton. Preferably both. Alien Zetton should have many variants with different outfits! My man is a style icon!

Ultraman Z - Alien Barossa! You thought the Z line was dead? Haha! You are wrong! Also the robot that was just ultraman zero. Do that one. I forgot the name.

Ultraman Trigger - Uh. Just do the giants of darkness. I will buy them. The rest can be sold to mandarake by people with buyer?s remorse. Everybody wins!

Seeing as they finally completed the Birth and Birth-Day renewal the possibility of Command form being done could happen but by then we'd probably already have the super form and final forms debuted or teased.

I see them possibly doing the same in the Geats line like they did for Revice with them focusing on the multiple Riders and then the Super form just to get them out. That's the downside of the inclusion of multiple Riders at once now in the shows lately.

I agree that Ryuki and Faiz renewals are long overdue especially Faiz. I agree with everyone's wishlists above but I hope they revisit that Ghost Mugen prototype...but then again at this point they might as well save it for the Seihou line when and if they decide to do Ghost in it.

In 2023 I hope they finally reveal and confirm Seihou Putotyra and I guess Birth X too so we can close out the OOO renewal line....finally releasing that RideVendor would be appreciated as well.

Basically I want 2023 to be the year we see some series lines closed out finally lol because stuff is being stretched out a bit too far

I could see the initial upgrade form being skipped this time around myself, especially because of the dual mode thing. It runs into the same problem of Volcano where it wouldn't make sense to just release one but I absolutely can't see them releasing both either.

I really liked the dual releases SHF did, like Mighty Bros Double X and the Ultraman Zero Strong Corona and Lunar Miracle set.

I’m sure it is no longer feasible, but it would be cool to see them do that for Geats and Tycoon Command Forms. And... uh, I might skip it. Those suits looks way too bulky to be fun posing. Prove me wrong, SHF!

There is that Revice Demons set, though Lovekov is one of those ones that really makes you question the line between figure and accessory. Definitely not on the same level as a Command figure would be anyhow

Jokes aside, my first thought was Kabuto 3.0.

That’s the first show they covered which actually still has relevance, the original Seihou shows its age by now, and with their modern creation process they can combine Masked- and Rider-form into one package.

It would also coincide with the CSM Kabuto Zector 1.5.

Another possibility is SHFSS Deneb which has already been shown, Deneb was also part of that initial slate of figures. Kabuto seems more likely since it seems odd to use Deneb to celebrate and he's already been displayed at trade shows.
