Just watched Gobusters vs Gobusters, i had no idea what was going on but i don't care as the team up fight was awesome.

Watched Episode 4 of GaoRanger and Blue and Black are freaking awesome, I love their bromance lol. I know I did not enjoy Wild Force as much as I am enjoying this.

Told ya dude. Gaoranger is a fantastic show. And those 2 are hilarious. Once Silver shows up (in one form or another ;) ) the show really gets interesting.

Ah I can't wait for Silver. I actually loved Merrick a lot and remember his story arc in the beginning so I can't wait to see it here.

I'm starting to question if Wild Force was the Original Samurai.

Well let's see both of them were really popular and both of them are pretty much direct translations of their Sentais.

And both are pretty much universally reviled by the PR fandom.

And both of them have awful acting and Rick Medina. I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Now I really wanna see Gaoranger.

You should. It's a fantastic show. Really awesome core 5 and a very badass 6th. the mecha are also some of my favorite sentai designs, and there are some great villains too. It's a very solid show all around.

Ehh. I liked the mecha and TsueTsue/Yabaiba but other than that the show didn't really do all that much for me. The general orgs were too MOTW looking for me and I didn't particularly resonate with any of the cast. It was by no means a bad series but for me it was just...there.

Which is EXACTLY how I felt about Wild Force too funnily enough :lol

Yellow, Red, and Silver really hooked me. Surprisingly so with Yellow since he started off as such a dick. But once his back story was elaborated on I grew to like him. Red was a total dope that you couldn't help but love. And Silver AKA Rouki was just awesome. I thought I would hate the mecha and really everything about the show after having seen the Wild Force train wreck back in the day. But it's become one of top 5 favorite sentai after seeing it.

Oh yeah, the Rouki arc was the highlight of the whole show. I absolutely loved that.

That storyline is probably one of the best super evil and eventually redeemed character arcs in sentai.

Wow episode one of Gaoranger was fantastic, great action sequences, really cool lore and mythology - GaoEagle is probably my favourite so far, I love how he is in yellow but is the most badass there but really all the characters were enjoyable, minus 'the girl one' who just seemed kinda there because you can't make pink a man, that'd be insane!

But then I really enjoyed the first quarter or so of Wild Force as well, I found that with a lot of early Disney seasons that they would start well and lose themselves towards the middle, so I guess time will tell whether Gaoranger is consistent in quality or falls apart as well.

Thinking about it, I just realized that's rather true...Huh.

That's because most of them blew their budgets by that point and had to recycle more footage and props :lol

Yay for more people who like Gaoranger!!

Even seasons I adore like Jungle Fury stumbled a fair amount in the middle and only just got itself back on track by the end. The only one that really bucks the trend is SPD where the quality dips and sky rockets on a rollercoaster like basis.

Well, I'd rather take that than Saban's sea of crap with mere glimpses of potential recently.

As for me on the Sentai side of things, I was deleting Gekiranger files off my laptop to make room for Ultraman Nexus, and my dumbass deleted the Jetman subs in the process.
God dammit.

Watched GaoRanger episode 5 and enjoyed seeing GaoElephant and I forget her name but whoever picked the GaoRangers and powers the tv was awesome. Also I love the Villains right now with Shuten, Yabaiba and TsueTsue (I think that's her name.)

Yabaiba and Tsuetsue are 2 of the best comedic villains out there. And Shuten is probably the best of the various Highness Duke Orgs though. The others are fairly bland-tastic, including the movie exclusive one from Gao Vs Super Sentai.

Goseiger epic 26, i was expecting something completely different when Gosei knight and Blue were standing behind that mural.

Since I've finished Fourze now, I decided to go back and finish Go-Busters.

What I love about this show is how powerful each Buster feels, they function as a team but Yoko and Ryuuji can more than handle themselves without Hiromu needing to hold their hands. Even the Buddyroids chip in and help, something I forgot side characters could do after watching so much Kamen Rider.

Plus proportionately Super Sentai has so much more action, which at least on a base fun level makes it really enjoyable.

Gokaiger and after the first 8 or so episodes I feel in love. I was not happy at first but it got better. I really enjoyed Gokai Silver.

Gokaiger 19 was awesome, Loved Gold Mode (Minus all the heads) and Loved the Go-On Wings transformation.

I plan to watch this after DaiRanger.

Everyone told me that the show doesn't start to get good until the twenties but I've honestly enjoyed this series from the word go. It's a very silly series, so you have to be in the right frame of mind, but it actually for the most part does mecha well, it makes use of all its characters and doesn't make them unlikeable for the sake of cheap character arcs, the world is well built and most of the time the action sequences are stylish enough to rise above their seemingly smaller than normal budget.

About the only complaints I'd have is the actual Ranger suit design is really ugly, they just sort of look like they're just in their bike leathers with a few straps and a pair of cheap shades.

They almost feel like a some what Kamen Rider more then a Sentai suit. But I have watched the first 10 and I plan to get back into it after Dai.

I have enjoyed all the characters and the story that goes with Go-Busters. I want to see where this go, I am very excited.

Yeah I know what you mean, it's almost bulky looking when sentai normally has much more streamlined suits.

And yah if the show is supposed to get 'good' in the twenties and I'm enjoying it already I'm hella excited!

For Sentai fans who don't like ponies, but are curious of the joke:
The pony (Scootaloo), who is a pegasus who doesn't know how to fly, was called a chicken in an episode (Both in reference to being afraid of the current situation and that she can't fly). It stuck with the fandom and nowadays, she's commonly referred to as a Chicken.

And this has been "Explaining the joke" with Matrixbeast.

GoRanger episode 1. Yeah, the first episode of Sentai. It's aged well-ish, though still VERY 70's. Their villains are the KKK and Pink's weapons are very sexist. It is still the 70's, after all. On the other hand, the overeating fat guy and random cowboy hat tropes start here, so there's fun to be had. Now, I wouldn't be interested in 80 episodes of this, but it's still a fairly strong first episode which is good for a series that's lasted 37 years.


Go-Busters 1-4. This rewatch brought to you by Go-Busters Returns, which sparked my love for this show once again. These early episodes are still some of the best Sentai ever.

Watching episode 20 of Kyoryuger, everytime one of these guys got they're wishes granted i just yelled out. "Oh come on!"

I loved how Ramires just randomly showed up with ice cream.

And it was at that point that i facepalmed at how stupid this scenario was. Then i laughed along with it.

Is Ramires popular in Japan? Because I can't fathom why he'd show up this often in the series otherwise.

He's the most unique ranger i've seen so far maybe.

I'm still trying to figure out why they casted a man who cannot act for **** as Ramirez.

Anyway, now that I have finished MMPR S2 I'm going to start watching what GUIS has released thus far of KakuRanger before I watch S3.

It's been stated multiple times that he's acting like that intentionally to make his character sound more foreign.

I'm still trying to figure out how you've missed the point of that joke for 3 months. He can act, he's intentionally playing an English speaking character, who isn't native to Japan, and can't speak the language very well. He's meant to sound like a foreigner.

In reality his actor has lived in Japan for most of his life and speaks VERY fluently. Do some research before you complain next time.
