We could have another ancient warriors stuff again ?

I think they have run out of ideas as far as ancient warriors.
I'd like to see the aquatic idea I came up with. Havent fleshed it out to actual forms tho

I think they meant that he wasn't an official member of the team proper. He was just a helper.

Hi guys. I'm currently learning Japanese. Since you guys are watching Sentai, some of you might know Japanese. I hope someone knows the answer.

So, about Magiranger, the magirangers call MagiMother "Okaasan".
Shouldn't it be "Haha" since "Haha" means "my mother" whereas "Okaasan" is a reference to someone else's mother?

Haha is a more casual way to say it. It's basically "Mama" vs "Mother."

I know someone more versed can give you a better explanation, but referring to your own mother as okaasan isn't something strange.

3. Which super sentai out of the 40 that we have so far saves you?

It's like how some refer to their fathers as Otasan too.

What they want from me, is a prototype for a new weapon I have been working on.
The monster of the week would actually be like a Chimera creature, only bipedal.
The Super Sentai that saves me would be Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, because Marvelous would be acting (of course) like he wants the weapon for them, but actually to use it to defeat the tripartate abomination.

Hey, this might have been brought up before but, I've tried search and come up zetto so I'm asking - forgive me if it's been asked b4.

Okay, I'm not too crazy for Super Sentai mostly because it's too formulaic for me and generally (from what I've seen) aimed at younger audiences. I'm a Kamen Rider guy primarily and into Metal Hero (true, MH is formulaic as all hell - but those suits, tho). Also, I have major difficulty telling one from another! So my question is this:

Is there a SS series that skews toward more complex, less 'kiddie' storylines? It doesn't have to be 'dark', just way less predictable with some twists and interesting concepts.

I understand that I may be missing the point / charm of SS (been watching AkibaRanger - love it - which seems to be saying this), that's fine, just let me know!

From personal experience Flashman, Maskman, Liveman, Jetman, Timeranger, Shinkenger, Go-Busters, ToQger.

Maskman, Liveman, Jetman, Dairanger, and Timeranger are the primary candidates. Honestly just about anything from the 80s could fit the bill.

Gekiranger

Check out Jetman and Dairanger. They have as much depth and complexity as any Kamen Rider show I've seen.

I hear good things about Timeranger and Gekiranger with regard to seriousness, but I've yet to watch those.

Maybe. Why don't you ask someone who might know, like the designers or someone at Toei, rather than a group of people who've only seen the trademark on the name.

I doubt it. The Olympics are kind of assholes with their branding.

I guess they'll try to capitalise on it somehow, but I'd more expect an athletics themed summer movie or something.

An athletic summer movie would work. I wonder what the villains could possibly be doing to make it work, but considering Zyuoh's was a circus, I guess Sentai always finds a way :lol

I think it's very logical to assume spaceships for Kyuranger, but what they look like could be any damn thing. UFOs, dragons, robot lions, whatever. I'm just pretty sure they'll be able to fly and will strongly feature at least five colors.
