Madoka Magica episode 3:

Freaking Urobutcher...

This is going to happen to Gaim...isn't it? Mami's death was kind of sudden and anticlimactic. I knew she died already, so maybe that made it less punchy. When she mentioned a cake I said to myself "You know...the last blonde-haired anime character I knew that was going to eat a cake died right before then. Well...it's been nice knowing you." I feel like Kamina's death in Gurren Lagann had more of a punch, since he was around for 6 episodes rather than 3 and he went out with a bang, rather than being like "Yay I beat the bad guy!" ^_^ "Oh now I'm dead." x_x and I feel like they did more with him than Urobochi did with Mami. Aside from that it was a solid episode. I just feel Mami's death was sudden and rushed.

Wow, Attack on Titan is an amazing series. I haven't touched the anime yet, but I just finished Volume 5 and immediately went to Amazon and ordered 6-9. My god this series has gotten incredible after the second volume. I must admit, I was a bit worried because I did not really find characters I truly loved until the fourth and fifth volumes when Annie and Levi really made appearances, as they have become my favorite characters up to this point. I cannot wait to see what the series has in store for them as it continues. As for the anime, I'll get to it sooner or later (probably when Funi releases it on BD), but if you like stories about giant monsters attacking people, horror suspense mysteries, this is definitely a good one to check out.

Don't worry, it will get better. After all... this is where the fun begins! :D

You know the more I hear about Madoka, the more I'm slightly turned off by it. Not because I'm a snob or anything, it's just the ODD in me saying "Don't watch it."

I'm actually not a big fan of magic based series in terms of it being like Madoka goes. The only one similar to it that I go gaga over is Eko Eko Azarak, and that's mostly because of the movies.

Oh it's not the dark turns it takes that make me think that you'd like Madoka. It's the fact that it's an interesting, thought provoking and an incredibly well writen story. If you like Gaim and Ryuki, I'm positive that you'll enjoy Madoka. :)

Haha, Miyazaki does have his pet peeves against various things. But for a guy with such experience, it's hard to not be that way, I guess.

Watching Kaitou Saint Tail.

A Magical Girl series about a Catholic schoolgirl who Robin Hood's around at night. It's not that bad aside from some typical inaccuracies that occur when Catholicism pops up in amine.

Robotech-Macross.

So three episodes in and Wizards Barristers is a pretty fun show. They're doing a pretty good job of setting up the world and I wanna see where they go with it.

Only thing I'm not really digging is the main character…as she's another one of those happy go lucky girls with a high pitched voice.

But the action direction and story telling is great. Neither of the episodes feels like a formula yet and they're doing a good job of making each episodes fresh.

Sailor Moon dub: I dunno if they used shoddy equipment to record the voices or if it's the actors but I'm torn between laughing or crying at how bad some of the dialogue sounds*mostly Usagi/Serena's*

Watching Inazuma Eleven, i'm enjoying it so far.
The fact that this is the art style of Professor Layton kind of distracts me but otherwise pretty good.

If it's cool to add my viewpoint while he does have a few good points, it does seem like it's the hip thing to complain about things being the same and also to complain about things being new these days. Nobody wants to just do the same thing anymore and yet we're afraid to go forward.

It's a vicious loop of fear and discomfort that has been going on for the last decade or so. Why is it so hard to just enjoy something without micro aliasing it?

Onto lighter news: Candi's VA is in the newest Precure series. Thought Sentai might be interested in that.

Don't hold your breath in that case. The problem everyone has when it comes with Aniplex's DVD releases is that they sell them at the same price as in Japan. A full series BD release wouldn't be cheaper. It'd be way more expensive.

As an alternative, go for the movies instead. The first two are basically the series perfectly re-told in the span of 4 hours. Cheaper than buying the series volumes.

Just watched the first episode of Happiness Charge Pretty Cure, for the fun. I love how Cure Lovely is like the Gokai Silver of the Precure-Franchise.

Attack on Titan started on netflix, so now I get to see what ZeorangerV has been fanboying about :lol

Watching some of the YuGiOh! episodes i missed via Hulu.

forgot how ridiculous and repetitive most of the dialogue is. And it really makes me miss Dan Green; he could make all of it sound beyond awesome.

I don't like movie versions of anime series as they cut out character development, little events that sometimes are superior to the big ones, etc.

And if Aniplex does not want to sell it for a better price, than I guess I just won't bother with the series, especially when I can pick up all 26 episodes of Psycho Pass on BD next month for around $100.

Just go for the manga. Unlike the anime, which will take you about 3 hours to get good, the manga is quicker and gets good in the second volume. By Volume 5, the series is incredible. The events of Volume 5 are in I think episodes 15-18.

I would be nice if someone would actually care about the series and start releasing the god damned Jp version on video in the US. I am so tired of these constant releases with that shitty ass garbage 4Kids called an English dub.

I still need to check out Attack on Titan.

I'll just wait for a dubbed version to come out (We all know one is coming along with Kill la Kill). Also, I'm thinking of rewatching Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya soon.

From what I've watching of Two Best Friends Play Pat, Woolie and Liam think the world of it. It does seem to be rather popular these days.

Surprisingly, the Madoka movies are very good when it comes to that. I read the manga adaptation to refresh my memory before I watched the movies and basically everything was still in place. All the characters were developed the same way they were in the anime and they improved or added extra animation to scenes. You really don't have to worry about missing stuff, truth be told.
