Gonna assume Geats Fever will be sold as Boost Magnum so you're required to have the OG Magnum Boost to pull off the fever forms.

It'd make sense and absolutely fit Bandai's sales practices lol.

That is what I'm thinking too. They've shown off Boost Magnum at Tamashii Nations and they highlight the form-swapping gimmick in the tweet that shows these two; so I imagine it'll be a release of Boost Magnum with the Fever buckle, scarf and eyes. I think that makes the most sense! But I'd hope it comes with duplicates of the Fever parts so you can at least have both Fevers displayed at once -- or thinking backwards, something to do with the spare full figure you'd be left with

Are we thinking Nago is on a female body? It’s hard to say seeing her on her own.

It's difficult to tell for me. The main tell would be the small blue line going out from her Driver on Beat, but I think she's slightly crouched over so it's hard to tell if that line is covered by the body or her pose. It's also hard to tell from the legs since the other figures have skinnier legs too. The upper arms do seem skinny but again it's hard to tell

Actually, wait, hang on. I'm looking closer and I'm realising that the waist construction is totally different. In particular, this one armoured plate is on her waist part while on Tycoon etc it's on the top of their upper leg part. Different mold then, and likely completely incompatible with the rest of the line

She's shorter than the others. You can tell by looking closely at her height compared to Tycoon across from her. So pretty safe to say she's a new mold.

Well, I am happy for show accuracy, and little bit curious/worried about how they will accomplish the gimmick swap.

I was thinking the shoes would be a giveaway too, but they are behind the card.

I definitely wouldn't mind if Nago is shorter than others. The form change gimmick is neat but I'd rather Tamashii stick to screen accuracy on this one

If you're Bandai, where do you go next in the SS Sentai line? Make the rest of the team or do more Reds? I would be down for an SS Akaranger so we can have all the original Toku suits. I'm not too well versed in Sentai history, so what other heavy hitters/fan favorites are good candidates? Liveman? Sun Vulcan? Zyuranger just for the hell of it ?

1 or 2 suits from each currently airing season is probably plenty for them to do. I sometimes can't believe how just many Figuarts come out every year (especially if you include non-Toku lines).

As for past Sentai, Jetman and Zyuranger seem like safe bets. If a man can dream, give me ToQger any day.

They are about to celebrate 20 year anniversaries for Hurricaneger and Abaranger, so those could be good candidates for the SS treatment. I guess the Reds from each team, and maybe they could give us Abarekiller too.

And I think Kyoryuger will probably have some anniversary celebration. That’s a popular series and they already have normal line SHFs, so they could do a version 2 or an SS version of the red from there.

The SHF resale vote is now up. There's Kamen Rider and Ultraman categories but it's such a weirdly specific pool of figures you can select from. Was honestly annoyed at the Kamen Rider selection since very few of them are figures that are that hard to get on the aftermarket now (and once again, no Seihous included...)

Pretty weak selection overall. The Ultraman section doesn’t even have Alien Baltan in it...

Honestly speaking, I look at the selection and there's not a single thing in there that catches my eye.

It's how I felt as well. I voted for Cross-Z and Geed Ultimate Final, but honestly the former is surprisingly not that hard to get now

Ugh if AmiAmi really isn't doing Seihous... Yeah need to find an alternate source for Gokai Red for sure then. And I am just TERRIBLE at searching HLJ on drop nights. They never show up in new items or on searches for me despite seeing people posting they got them or they're sold out already even. So hopefully a kind soul shares that link when they go up...

Hobby Genki also orders me a partial store credit for the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man debacle I don't think they've issues me yet... Might have to reach out to them again about that. Would be a good place to go and chance to use that up heh.

tbf there are actually some choices in the rider section that I think are good picks for resale, mainly because you don't see them pop up as commonly second hand nowadays or their aftermarket price is really inflated.

Ex-Aid Lvl 2, Lazer Lvl 2, Para-DX, Valkyrie, Horobi, Gaim Kiwami,, Cross-Z, Rogue, Type Tridoron and Machine Builder all stand out to me.

Meanwhile Zero-One is on the list despite having like a dozen different rereleases which is head-scratching.

EDIT: Oof, the Ultraman section is such a hard pick, too. I literally would love to see them resell every kaiju they've listed with how expensive most of those choices have become.

The Marvel section's laughable, though. 90% Iron Men with everything else already having better versions out there to get. No mention of some of the harder to get SHFs like their Ultron or any of the Hawkeyes is wild.

Yeah I thought the Rider section wasn't that bad. Type Tridoron with all the tires for example is really expensive. Might end up voting for that. But plenty of others choices are just odd.

Also glad to see Nago will be done accurately to size. As cool as it is, I'd rather forgo the gimmick for that.

Gudon is the only Kaiju on there that I don't currently own. His secondary market price is up there, but I still can't imagine he's popular enough to get a rerelease. Also, I thought Zetton just had a reissue?
Nothing really stands out as a strong pick from the Ultras themselves.

I agree with those Rider choices and I voted for Horobi since I don't have the standard version and love reissues bringing down aftermarket prices....but I definitely feel releases like Type Tridoron w/ tire set will benefit people who wasn't aware of it during its initial release

Edit: I'm gonna start voting for Lazer lvl 2 because I need or want Ex-Aid's bike due to aftermarket and availability

There's another event in April centered around anime. This one was just live action. I wouldn't be surprised if another survey happens then.

Dada from Ultraman goes for, like, 30k on mandarake. I’d like to see that big ugly freak get a rerelease. It’s the original Ultraman host’s favorite seijin/kaiju too.

If they are going to open this up to seihous, then I’d love to see the backbench of Hibiki get rereleased, especially Zanki. It would be cool to have some guitar guys to go along with guitar hero Nago.

I would love it if Bandai provided the best of both worlds. Of course, release fan-favorite Red Rangers and Sixth Rangers but also broaden the SS Sentai line by including other Rangers and villains for the likelihood of building teams and villain groups. Gokaiger, Shinkenger, Hurricaneger, Jetman, and Zyuranger all seem like solid choices.

The Geats Fever forms seem spectacularly ill-judged to me. I mean, I know these things have to be designed well before the related episodes would air, and I'm sure they appealed to Bandai due to how much re-use they could do given the existing released forms. But Fever sure is looking like the Build Sparkling of this series. Appeared for five seconds, then instantly abandoned for the cooler Command forms.

Probably has something to do, too, with the "revolve change" feature not necessarily working as well in practice as on paper. Boost works as an upper or lower form, and I guess there's a tenuous argument that Magnum-lower lets you shoot with your feet. You know, because of all those times when it's preferable to fire a gun with one's feet. But Beat, Zombie, Monster, and Ninja lower bodies just seem sorta pointless.

I wonder if Bandai will decide not to release the Fever forms if their flash-in-the-pan status persists in-show.

They can easily release Geats Boost Magnum form with extra parts to make Fever forms.

Geats also has notably less ground to cover -- the only other major things they have to do at this point are Nago, Punkjack, Glare and Gazer. So Boost Magnum is shockingly likely, and I have to assume that since both that and Kotaro were notably shown off; they'll be the 'reveals' at next Preban lab.

(Also Command but I'm assuming they won't do that, like how Revice had an early series upgrade they didn't do because it would inevitably be forgotten about and would require two figures rather than one)

As a huge fraud who bought a bunch of Kamen Rider Build SHF figures without actually watching the darn show, I would like to say that Build Sparkling is one of my favorite forms of his on the old shelf.

Hey, one of my favorite Revice forms was Jack Revice and he was only there for a quick second. I actually watched that show too.

But I get it if the forms only showed up for a little bit like the geats fever forms it is a bit weird to make figures of them. I think I like Boost Boost the best between the two.

Maybe the fever forms will come back with some sort of plot significance right at the end of the show, like the chibi ex-aid forms did in ex-aid. Then we can all be proud of having the fever form SHFs.


Thanks for this link. Man, some of those early shfs were rough. Also, that’s a sweet Green Goblin they got in the Spider-Man display. Hope they commercialize it.

Even if Fever is a transition form into something like the Command buckles, it's still a form that 1.) some collectors would honestly want and 2.) give more options to the revolve change gimmick the SHFs already have. People are gonna want Boost Magnum, so why not make it the Fever release to kill two birds with one stone and get sales for extras from people who may wanna display all the combinations.

It's no different from how they released SS Den-O Plat Form and then rereleased it with retooling and some extras so you have to buy one of each type to display all four main forms.

I can see the logic. As much as I like the Revolve Change gimmick, some forms are going to be more desirable (no pun intended) than others.

Something I just realised today: the RCF line being back to (more or less) SHF scale means that the bike will be SHF scale!! Now I'll be surprised if Geats SHFs can actually hold the handles solidly enough, but it should certainly provide a cheap alternative to an eventual actual SHF release that also has a transformation gimmick SHF might not include.

(and if Saber and Revice are anything to go by, it might be a long, long time till a SHF Boostriker anyway...)
