Pocket Monsters
I'm behind 18 Series counting Master Journeys. Catching up on DVD. Tomb Raider Tomb Raider VI The Angel Of Darkness got a DVD game adaption I might play in a few days so I don't skip any. I so far have played up to Tomb Raider X (PS 3). I'm on Area 4 of Tomb Raider VII Legend (PS 2) |
Just grabbed the Megaman Battle Network Collection. Can't decide which game to start with. On the one hand, I've never played 1 and 2 and it would be nice to play the games in order. On the other, BN3 was my favorite and it's been so long since I played it....that's the one I'm most looking forward to playing and I fear that I'll be thinking about 3 the entire time I play through 1.
So do I go chronological order or nostalgia order? edit: I started with 3. I'm excited to check out the first two, but I want to do it when I'm not craving an experience I've already had. It'll help me appreciate the differences more. |
Chronological. BN1 is the weakest game, mechanics-wise, so best to get that out of the way first.
BN4 you can feel free to skip in its entirety though. Awful game. |
I'd like to see a technological-themed PR season embodied with mystical powers from astral worlds, ancient civilizations and etc...

1-3 especially feel like one package to me because they use the same sprites, 4 started to look different. Quote:

I have recently discovered The Boondocks.
My hope in western animation has been restored (yes I know it's old but a lot of animated shows these days just don't seem that funny anymore). |
Tomb Raider The Action Adventure DVD Game used the PC version
of Tomb Raider VI The Angel Of Darkness with new footage so it will be interesting to see what new gets added for this adaption. |

I was more in the mood for nostalgia, so I went with 3. I know I'd be frustrated trying to play 1 when I really wanted to play 3. Once I scratch that itch, I'll get to 1 eventually. |
My problem mainly is any game starting in the PS 3 era due to the size.
Which is why I don't own too many PS 3 games. What I do own are next chapter titles continuing from PS 2 to fill in main line franchises. Even there I have very few of them unless I knew I was playing them long term. Final Fantasy XIII , Metal Gear Solid IV and V , Street Fighter IV , Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IX and X , Tekken 6 and Tomb Raider X (Survivor Trilogy Part 1) are the ones I own to fill in the next chapters. I do own Ninja Gaiden Trilogy as the only exception to this on PS 3. So starting with PS 3 games I would need to cloud store them and play connected to wi fi. PS 2 games not much of an issue as they have some small game save files and you run off the disks. |

Despite being a "western" show, I think the heavy anime influence has helped the show stand out all these years later |
