Ratings wise, yeah, but ratings aren't everything. Wasn't there one series that tanked in the ratings but had amazing toy sales?

Yeah but the question boiled down to what was the worst rated series after Go-Busters. Which is Ohranger. They are the 2 lowest rated sentai ever. Which is a travesty considering how great Go-Buster was.

It tanked because the toy line had no gimmick, they went back to basics after having basically every show since Go-Onger be driven by a collectible trinket. Engine Souls, Discs, Headers, and Ranger Keys. That's why Kyoryuger is being so successful now, the Zyudenchi are driving sales numbers.

I understand the logic in doing the collectible gimmick. But it sucks that it has to be this way. It could really hinder some potential good stories or cool looking mechs, just by trying to shoehorn a thing into the show.

Didn't you hate Go-Busters last year?
Maybe next year you'll despise Tokkyuger and say how Kyoryuger was so much better. :p

Not nessecarily; While Go-onger, Kyoryuger, Shinkenger and Goseiger mecha have the gimmick as a major part (although I think they did it really well in the former two and OK in the latter two) Gokaiger mecha were almost completely separate from the collecting gimmick, so they don't need to include it with the mecha if they don't feel it's nessecary.

I'm pretty sure Go-Busters tanked because it was just boring to watch. The main cast was uninteresting. THe commander and his crew served no purpose to the show at all. And the Buddyroids make Snarf look like a god send.
