I wonder if the cast of Adventure 02 will show up? I always like the cast members of that season, so I hope they are not gone for good.

Did Adventure really need a second sequel?

It's a shame that America won't get the show for a while since we are few years behind Xros Wars unless Saban chooses to skip part 3 of Xros Wars and goes straight to the new show instead. If they dub the new show then I hope Saban tries to bring back the original cast.

The first Digimon season is the season that got people into the franchise and made it popular. Digimon Season 1 to Digimon is pretty much what MMPR is to Power Rangers.

As much as I dislike talking about this pity game they're giving us, instead of the Digimon Aventure PSP game or Re:Digitize, technically Pleisiomon is Gomamon's Mega form, and Vikemon was supposed to be Armadillomon's with Patamon, when Shukakumon mega-digivolves (like how Veemon has Imeperialdramon with Wormmon, but Dinobeemon and GrandKuwagamon are an alternate form for when Wormon is...dominant? They've never really explained why or how one gets Dinobeemon instead of Paildramon, but Digimon has always been odd with giving out options to protagnoist Digimon, especially since most of them don't get to see the light of day/canon).

Vikemon is supposed to symbolize Cody/Iori's connection to Joe, hence the Zudamon like appearance, similar to how Valkyriemon for Hawkmon is both divine in nature, like Gatomon's higher forms, and is more bird themed than a mythological Valkyrie is depicted due to Hawkmon's nature and Yolei/Miyako's connection to Sora.

Plesiomon was used in the Wonderswan games (with Ryo) as Gomamon's official Mega form, though I won't tell you that you're wrong if you prefer Vikemon, both of them are pretty cool.

In short, Digimon is weird like that, and the fact that they're actually using Pleisiomon instead of Vikemon for the game is one of the few things that I like about it as of now.

Basically; doesn't hurt that Saban dubbed/produced both. There's like a subliminal connection I think most of us make between the two.

...maybe they'll get a PSP game like Adventure did? The PSP games seem to be doing well over in Japan, since they've been on a roll making them.

I think the Digimon fighting game on the PS3 and 360 looks like fun. I do wish Namco Bandai release on the game on a better release date since it comes out the same week as Smash Bros on the Wii U and the remakes of Pokemon G3. Not to mention the marketing for the game looks like shit so far.
