Is there anything wrong with crushing/loving/adoring a anime/cartoon character? I certainly don't think so I mean just look at my 1st post, but I feel as if it's rude for some people just look at you in a disgusted way for crushing/loving/adoring a anime/character.

Depending on who you talk to, yes.

But that's generally why I agree with Akagi regarding normal people.

Well a toku character is exactly that A CHARACTER so they're just as real as any anime character but then of course it depends if you're crushing on the actor or the character. Personally I think it's kinda weird to crush on a cartoon, but then being that it is an artificial creation from the ground up it's probably been designed and tuned for that exact reaction so it isn't your fault.

Matrix adores a pony (well, several) and we don't mind.

I don't see what makes it so weird when many an anime woman are specifically designed to be appealing to a male viewer...

Not always. Sometimes the reaction is the opposite of what's intended. The EVA girls, for example.

That is what I meant, I realised reading it back it wasn't very clear but that whole thing about "being designed for that purpose" was calling back to the sex appeal and not my weirdness of it, gomen gomen.

Furries though, I think are weird as shit. Animals and children should always be out of bounds.
