Mega Man X4

I've beaten the game and I have mixed feelings on it.

Firstly, love playing as Zero. The way he uses his Z Saber is pretty cool, using various techniques that he takes from the bosses and whatnot. The one I am the biggest fan of is when he slashes his Z Saber all around him. But other then that, a lot of the techniques don't feel very useful. The blaster cannon and Rising fire attacks have to slow of a start up time for my taste and that dash attack seems pretty pointless to me as a lot of enemies can hit you before you can hit them with the attack. Double jump is useful, but not being able to use it out of an air dash kills its versatility to me, as you could do that with the airdashes in X3. Although the double jump is much easier to use then the up air dash in X3 where you had to tap up twice, and I swear it didn't work sometimes.

The Mavericks are all fine and fun. Except for that Beast looking thing and split mushroom. As well as the stages and music (except for the stupid speeder bike section). Cyber Peacock's theme was pretty cool sounding especially. Also, fuck the voice acting. Sigma sounds like a weasel rather then a badass like he should. Zero sounds prepubescent and I don't even know what's up with Iris and the Colonel's horrible acting with some British mixed in.

But that final level. Jesus that final level. This has got to be the hardest boss rush I've played in an X game and the most annoying final boss. You know the boss rush sucks? Because they only give you 2 E-tanks! Since PS1 classics don't have save states, that means if I want to conserve my E tanks for the Sigma fight, I am going to have to go out and grind lives so when I die I can come back at full health to fight some of these annoying bosses. Sigma isn't too bad in his first and second phase, but that final phase with the giant head and gun thing? Yeah fuck that too. It essentially becomes a game about where you stand and how to trigger easier situation to get out of and I swear it doesn't even work half of the time you want it to. Having to deal with Sigma head sucking in debris randomly hitting you and blowing back out all while carefully avoiding spikes that take down a majority of your health is not fun to me.

So where do I rate it on the scale of other X games? I... don't know honestly. X1 very fun all around but lacks that mechanics later games have to make the game feel more fluid. X2 was not as fun but still enjoyable, however Sigma was too easy. I don't even remember if X3 was that fun because they cranked up the difficulty way to much on everything. And X4 was annoying in particular places....

I'd have to put X4 on the lower part of my list if I had to make on though.

I am playing far cry 4 or as I call it the far cry fourz.

I downloaded a rom of Megaman Battle Chip challenge.

It's not that good of a game by any means, i mean it's not completely terrible but it's not exactly a great game either.
But it's the only game in which i can play as Roll.EXE so it'll have to do.

That was my same exact reaction and opinion back when I played it. :lol
The novelty is the main selling point, and playable Roll is great, but it's kind of an empty experience.

There's that and the battle theme is pretty cool. :lol

Mega Man X5

Well shit, they aren't afraid to tell you it's Sigma's behind all this upfront. And the first boss is a giant Sigma head. Wait, didn't I just fight one of those?

The falling colony and Worldwide Sigma virus plot sounds interesting and the equipment and cannon mechanics sound interesting but will most likely end up annoying me.

And the first level I picked has vines that sprout without warning. Fuck this game already.

Re-playing Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. God, do I love the shit out of this game. :D

After this, I'm planning on playing the Ace Attorney Trilogy game that I found on the Nintendo EShop last night.

I'm doing that exact same one.

Still playing a ton of Smite on Xbox. I feel like after a stupid amount of time, I'm actually okay at it now? Weird. Or just not as many good people on the consoles. Probably that.

And finished Life is Strange episode 2 last night. Man, that ending has such a different feeling when you're playing it instead of watching it.

Ironically enough, I've also been going back and replaying Megaman X 1.

And for the first time in ever, I actually managed to defeat that annoying spider drone boss.


Only to die on Sigma's final form which I swear looks like the Devil Gundam.

I've started playing Megaman Battle Network 4 Red Sun. This is one of the two Battle Network games that i haven't beaten, so i'm trying to do that.

I played up till the beginning of the Sparkman scenario and decided to take a break, this has been a nice nostalgia trip, despite the hate this game gets i really like what i played back in the day.

Played 5 or 6 rounds of Siege in Smite tonight... Didn't win a single one.

So much for the enjoyment I was getting out of this game. Just back to sucking complete ass at it.

Mega Man X5

What the fuck is going on with this game? No seriously?

Why do all the levels have poor enemy placement, or stuff that pops out of nowhere or easy bosses? Who the fuck is this Dynamo dude? Why do all of my attacks feel off?

Quality would just sometimes rise or drop between Mega Man games. Like some are hard, but are easy to get through once you get good, whereas others are just straight up unfair.

And what he says is true. If you did manage to make it through that paralogue with him surviving, then level him up. He becomes a monster. :D

And make sure you recruit a certain girl named Tharja. And another guy going by the name of Gaius. :)

its very obvious in Awakening who is recruitable.

also, EXP DlC is basically just a mini campaign that you can use for extra experience, because all those chil'en are gonna get wrecked if you try to use them early on.

also, I took Tharja for myself. cuz I love that body stocking and stalking.

Funny you mention that...the first time I restarted this mission was because I kinda sorta accidentally killed him...

I thought maybe recruiting worked like you beat them, then get them after the mission is done, but then the game made a huge deal about his death, so I turned off the game and did some research, and I didn't know that you had to have Chrom go talk to him during the fight, so I did that the second time...only to have Stahl die.

you can also have a character unequip their weapon so they won't attack if someone fights them, so have your big armor guy tank Gaius, and then have Chrom step in.

also, Lon'Qu is probably your best sword based character.

use him to his fullest. this man is a crit machine.

Really pissed me off when I was trying to ship him with Olivia. Since then it's the BOTH of them that keep dying.

I end up pairing those two up a lot (used to be Panne and Gaius, but I found their relationship weird. Panne and Lon'qu I found more appropriate_.

Last thing I played was Age of Mythology: Extended Edition. Lord I've missed this game. Moving on to my Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition again soon.

their relationship is super cute.

I've been going Ricken and Miriel...mostly to have my two mages together. i hear they get strong kids as well, but if I find their relationship weird, I'll drop it. I have NO idea who to ship Chrom with.

Chrom is good with Sumia, especially considering it feels really canon.

but some people like him and the dancer. so what you wanna do is make sure EVERY other female that can have kids is paired off so that the dancer girl is the only one left.

I wanted him and Cordelia but it never happened.

Ah man fire emblem awakening talk, love this game.

Kellam and Panne made a nice pairing for me due to the game not making use of Kellam's overused no one can see him gag.

I am so lost when it comes to Fire Emblem.


Anyway downloaded Megaman Battle Network on the Wii U virtual console and have spent my entire day playing it, i've almost maxed out my attack power with the powerups i've been collecting, who needs a charge shot when you can mash the B Button endlessly for faster results right?
Anyway i've beaten 5 bosses so far, Gutsman, Torchman, Numberman, Stoneman and Woodman, i'm dreading when i get to Elecman, i could not stand that part as a kid.

Life is Strange episode 4 has been so incredibly dark... Wow.
