Starting to give Shin Kamen Rider a soft goods scarf

Some trial and error using different materials and cuts. What you see is using bias tape ( used to finish the edges of necklines or armholes ) and tapering the scarf skinnier in the middle

This is ended working best by removing the middle red plastic ring that holds the scarf. The ring is sandwiched between the neck and the joint piece that attaches to the collar of the figure. If you want to try to remove it, heat up the plastic first. Pry off at the top of the ring, the square-ish peg that holds everything in place is just glued on. Repair it by gluing the peg back on or use museum putty like I did

Next I'll make a version with some red cotton cloth, so the scarf drapes better down the figure. The trick is to singe the edges so they don't fray too much. Ultimately I want to add wire to get more dynamic looks. If anyone is interested I can share the dimensions I used

Tregear shf is a fantastic figure and just very unique looking. Highly recommend this rerelease. Also the fellow finalist in that Ultraman SHF rerelease poll, Ace, got a rerelease too, lol.

Looking forward to this new Absolutian too! Glad to build up that faction in my collection.

I think I'm done with the active hunt TBH. The orignal colors Ichigo are popping up less frequently, and it's just getting more frusterating than exciting. I'll just hope that in a few months they start staying in stock for more than 30 seconds

I dunno, not sure nor dependent on US releases.I personally get everything lately from YahooJapan/AmiAmi/Mandarake or occasionally taking the pre-order plunge/risk from Luna Park or Hobby Genki, IF I think a figure will skyrocket (SS Sakurajima was the BEST preorder I decision made in that regard) in price. I just try find them as cheap as possible (which is 99.9% of the time) without waiting long stretches of time for pre-orders to ship.

So when I ask if the US release of a figure is still happening you respond that it's happening in October. When prompted to explain where it'll be available you reply that you don't know nor do you rely on US releases. Can you understand why this is a weird way to conduct yourself?

Take it however you want to was just giving you options that I use and small talk. I?ll avoid that in the future. Not on US P-Bandai unless I missed it.

There are two things that could?ve happened here:

1. It is slated to be released in the US on Premium Bandai US, but approval hasn?t gone through yet
2. It was accidentally marked as such on the release areas website.

As this is a Japanese release slated for October, the US would see it in November/December. It?s likely that if this is going to be released in the US, we?d see an announcement either this month (the usual 6 month open period for preorders) or next (in the event it is supposed to come out an approval was still being waited on)

The p-bandai US site is a little bit difficult for me to use search on, but I tried refreshing my memory on their releases so far and it’s just Black Sun, Shin Kamen Rider, Geats and the Mastermind figure.

I did not see any zero one releases on there. Maybe they decided to not do older series?

Edit: Also the difference between 1.0 gokai red and the seihou. It’s like looking at a cosplayer standing next to the real deal from the show.

Wow, I guess I should complain on the Internet more often. Shortly after grumping that I hadn't been able to score a preorder, I found Gokai Red listed as in-stock on Hobbylink Japan. I think I'm still in shock.

Here's also how the skirt piece is attached to Buffa. He also seems to have a unique crotch piece as there appears to be a portion carved out to let the skirt piece hang properly.

I was going to say that Buffa's skirt being attached that way would mean there's no way to accurately portray him with his skirt and a lower half buckle piece, but technically he's never used a standard lower half like Boost or Ninja so that'd actually be accurate?

That said, if you wanted to, it'd still be inaccurate without the skirt. I'd assume Tycoon's bandage around his thigh will be sculpted and pose the same setback, too.

All of them come with extra Geats pieces, we first learned it when the product description was released. I like this approach, it makes it so you don't have to keep disassembling both sets of helmets to do the form change

He technically has used the lower boost half for a second before immediately using revolve on back in episode 6.
I have seen some Japanese fans attach the skirt to boost but they were the types to already customize figuarts. I've also seen some other fans being hesitant saying it "may be difficult" to do, not sure if they mean that in terms of not wanting to damage the figure/scratch paint, the connector piece actually being difficult to remove, or if the skirt is glued in place. Guess we''ll just have to wait until we get our copies of the figure.

I'm aware the product page said that the upcoming figures would come with Geats jaw pieces. I pointed it out because I remember months ago in this thread some people thought that another jaw piece would be redundant if the one on Buffa is already compatible with Geats.

Buffa's skirt piece: It isn't glued in place, but sandwiched between the pelvis piece and the abdomen plug. Looks like the material is soft enough to cut off though (start at 3:40)

Also if some of you guys don't feel comfortable cutting the skirt piece on Buffa & happen to also collect RKF, a Japanese fan pointed out that the RKF skirt piece does fit on the SHF (although youd probably want to paint the belt detail silver and the top part black).
