Okay, finally saw it, random thoughts that I had in approximate order: - Marvelous, solo, beats the Legendary Seven in less than two minutes. This movie is going to be full of bullshit, isn't it? - Fourze gives Marvelous more trouble than the original seven Riders combined? What fuckery is this? - Oh god, Gai and Yuuki are in the same movie. I am so glad they didn't share any scenes together, I wouldn't have been able to bear that. - Why is the Joker Undead standing with the Rider villains? Did no one actually watch Blade? - Silva kind of makes me want to watch Bioman now. - Oh cool, Eiji's in this. Totally forgot that. - "Who's next" "Invocation Sentai Goseiger." "Sounds boring." :lol :lol :lol - Why is it raining in outer space? - Oh god, I forgot the Denliner was in this. At least it isn't worked in subtly and totally feels shoehorned. :rolleyes - So all of this is because Goranger stole Stronger's timeslot? Petty much? - Why did Akaranger totally switch sides and start fighting? How is Rider 1 still alive? Oh. Wait, how the fuck did Marvelous get to 1976? - Damn it, writers, Doktor G was Destron, not Shocker! Not every Showa villain was from Shocker! - "No more Rider or Sentai particles detected." Dude, Don is standing RIGHT. THE. FUCK. OVER. THERE. Come on! - That must be every stunt actor in Japan in that group shot. - Accel and Birth are the only secondary Riders here? That's lame. - Lol, Super-1 is off his mark. - Really? All four Den-O forms at once? I'm starting to see why people are sick of this show. - They're teaming up by year, that's cool. - Wow, Black got some lines. And they're actually character moments, too. It's almost as if the writer is trying to make the suit cameos actually seem like real characters. Almost. - Man, how cool would it be to see J and some mechs team up? - And this year's shows to the rescue. Sigh. This part is going to feel so fucking dated in a couple years. - So we're never going to find out about Narutaki, are we. He's just some random dude with a closet full of Showa villain costumes who shows up to troll Tsukasa. - Damn it, Gai, cut down on the energy drink. I can't believe you're going to be in Garo. - Setting up the Decade and Diend sequel that will never happen. Good times. - So you got Tsukasa, Kaito, Eiji and Hina, and all six Gokaigers to this quarry, but Gentaro and the Go-Busters weren't available for a three-minute scene? So yeah, that wasn't very good. They really need to get a different crew on these team-up movies, it's pretty clear that Kaneda and Yonemura really aren't the best men for this job. Give someone else a shot already. |
Yeah it really does feel like they had too many ideas going on at once in this film. Felt like they couldn't decide if this should be a Gobuster/Foruze promotion, Gokaiger VS Decade, or a Den-O flick.

And now for my rant..
Shocker's and Zanygack's master plan is to make the Big Machine (lamest super weapon name EVER) because...evil? Okay, fine. To make said weapon, they have to combine their resources. Makes sense enough. So why do they have to involve Sentai and Riders before it's complete? Matter of fact, why are they on Earth for this? They could've easily made the Big Machine off planet. Then part of that plan is pitting Sentai and Riders against each other. Admittedly not a bad plan, but really dumb when they don't even have to be on Earth to achieve their goal. And why would they think GokaiRed and Decade would trust villains they themselves killed? Wouldn't it have made more sense for GokaiRed to be tricked by Rider villains and vise versa with Decade. AND WHY ARE THESE VILLAINS EVEN ALIVE?! EXPLAIN MOVIE! EXPLAIN! Then there's GokaiRed's and Decade's plan. GokaiRed and Decade knew all along to the villains are trying to trick them. Admittedly this explains away some things, like Marvelous being able to beat the 7 Legendary Showa Riders. That said, why play along? GokaiRed and Decade could've easily just summoned the other heroes to fight. And why did Marvelous send Joe back in time to get a fake AkaRanger to fight a fake Rider 1 in a fake battle to fake out villains that shouldn't even be alive? Why is there even time travel in this movie? Is it not confusing enough?! And who told GokaiRed and Decade about this plan? DiEnd? Wait, DiEnd knew GokaiRed's and Decade's plan all along too. Why was Joe left out? I can understand at the first when Marvelous is trying to cut his ties to the Gokaigers and make it believeable, but there's at least 15-20 mins of Joe being Decade level emo in front of DiEnd. That would be the time to tell Joe the plan DiEnd, you douche. A third of this movie is the worst kind of padding because DiEnd is a douche. And then there's DiEnd having a sudden case of villainy. Again I have to admit that I love the idea of DiEnd being a villain. BUUUUUUT his motivation makes him sound like a kindergartener that didn't get picked for a game. You knew the plan, why are you so butthurt about it?! I've already said it, this a convoluted mess of a movie full of flawed logic, plot holes, and grade A bull shit. What is so damn hard about keeping these films SIMPLE?! Also, there are huge missed opportunities in this movie. This movie needed Stag Buster in it. Why? Because Kamen Rider J is in the movie. There is fun to be had there. Like when the monsters grow, Kamen Rider J could be getting ready to grow only to have Beet J Stag step in front of him saying "I will handle this." Then Kamen Rider J would grow only to have Beet J Stag in a borrowed Buster Hercules stand in front of him again. Of course that would require Shoji Yonemura to watch Sentai. Hell, I don't even think he watched Decade. |
There is an excessive amount of bitterness about this movie.

Though it does raise the question of why Marvellous and Tsukasa didn't do anything to sabotage the project if they knew from the beginning what their end game was… I also didn't understand the point of traveling back in time either if it was just Decade and Gokaired in disguise. |

Anyway, I think you guys are taking this movie too seriously. It's a summer action flick about Decade (King of dropped plots and rewrites) and Gokaiger (Emperors of bad writing). There was only ONE possible result it could have in terms of quality. So you could go in with a pen and paper to write every little plot hole and out of character moment, or you could go in trying to have fun. |
