The answer to all of this is to just not care. Don't care about the consequences, don't care how you do, and don't care what she thinks about you. Do what you want, what you think is best... and own up to it. If she doesn't like you, move on.

In concept, but the execution is a bit difficult to accomplish. The best thing to do is to be yourself (original, I know). A relationship is built upon trust and care. To take out one aspect is not the best idea. Yes, your partner should be able to accept you for you, but that doesn't mean you should be a jerk. Owning up to things, though, is an incredibly intelligent decision to make.

Though it's difficult to explain in words, you and I both know that I didn't mean to be a jerk about it. A girl not liking you is not the end of the world... it really isn't.

Sooooo, what do we suggest to those who are desiring companionship?

Define "companionship." If you're talking about friendship, that's something that just happens (for me, anyway). What I have noticed, however, is that people approach friends-to-be with a goal. For instance, the person who is now my best friend approached me about a school project. When I decided to form friendships with the people who I now consider part of my Neo-Breakfast Club, I collapsed on the ground next to them after I felt I had done sufficiently on a P.E. exercise we were doing that day and asked, "How did I do?" Friendship is a lot harder to achieve than romantic relationships, in my opinion.

If you're talking about another kind of companionship, you'll have to elaborate.

Romantic companionship. I guess to put it somewhat simply, I would love to have a girlfriend and eventual wife. But, I'd be just as fine having somebody (preferably a girl) follow me through thick and thin. I guess a comparison could be I want a V and Eevee relationship, if you get what I'm saying.

So basically someone who may not be the love of your life, but has got your back, even in your darkest hour?

Pretty much. They could only love me like 5% and I'd be good. I'm not looking for some Koji Suzuki Paradise soul mate shit per say. I just want a healthy relationship with somebody I can count on.

Open up to someone. Someone that you trust, that you consider a friend. It might take a long time, it might happen instantaneously.
