Or it could just be the fact that she's a peach, and he's a banana. :lolol |
I've gotta say this episode was great. Although I'm still disappointed at how Mr. MUH STRENGTH was able to Match Deemushu, since from the way the Overlords were hyped up, you'd think they'd be to Energy Riders what Energy Riders are to Armored Riders, I.E., they make them look like mooks.

Summary of the episode: Looks like they got the revelation about Yuuya's death out of the way. Mai, you fucking idiot! Why are you telling people about this Helheim end of the world stuff? Did you not think about this before you called a rally. I actually was rooting for Micchy doing something, granted, I'd rather not have an Invess swarm stop the rally but that did the trick. Congratulations Gaim, you almost got me rooting for Micchy again. When Micchy was yelling at Kouta, that was some Masato Kusaka levels of intimidation I was getting. LOL at Mai's attempt at a slap, her facial expression just looked so out of place for such a serious moment. You know, if the Energy Rider suits were modular, I would have loved to see the genesis driver get Faiz levels of belt swapping. But alas. Baron Lemon Energy is a badass, what with backwards Sonic Arrow shooting and all of those cool jumps and what not. Also cool of him to have a new transformation pose for the Genesis driver transformation(I have to love his Blade style hand pointing gesture). It was cool to see Deemushu learn Japanese and give active fight dialog with Kaito. Who the hell is this Lord Roshu guy? Good to know there's still some depth in the undiscovered plot. Also, called it with the Overlords having a higher purpose. I thought the fruit was supposed to protect the Rider while transforming, so Micchy just shot Kouta in the back? |

Also: Gaim switching to Kachidoki saved him from Malika's Finisher in this episode. I assume the actual fruit is what gives the armor and strength capabilities. Pre-Arms is still vulnerable, afterall: It's just a basic suit, perhaps an exoskeleton suit that has no purpose like Den-O's plat form. Baron tried to attack Gaim when he switched to Ichigo Arms the first time, so I assumed Pre-Arms is vulnerable when the fruit is switching. Normally it'll be fine, but Ryugen has a ranged weapon that shoots really fast grape shots. |
Probably my favorite episode thus far and Micchy is becoming one of my favorite characters in this show. No, wait! Hear me out!
At the very beginning of this show, Micchy mentioned that he liked being an Armored Rider because it gave him power and control over his destiny. Now, with recent events unraveling, he's starting to lose control over the situation again and, in turn, is also losing his cool. This time, however, he has the means to remove anything taking control out of his hands. He's easily the most complex character in this show and I think he's extremely well-written. I mean, on the surface, it does seem like his entire character arc revolves around Mai, but I think it goes deeper than that, because when you really think about it, Micchy has spent his entire life not getting what he wants and not having the means to get what he wants. Mai is probably just the straw that broke the camel's back. The thing I love about Gaim is that I feel like I have a new favorite character every week. Also, anybody notice Bravo in the previews? I thought he wasn't suppose to show up again for a while. And I don't count 'a while' as one episode. |
There needs to be an option for "Excellent - And Micchy's a Dick". Because Micchy's a dick. Wtf. Mai slaps you so you think the next logical step is "Hey, you know my best friend who I've been lying to all year but still defends me at every turn and loves me like a brother? Yea, I think I'm going to shoot him in the back!" ... Dick.
But since it was all part of Micchy's plan, I'm wondering if Peach lost because she lost or she lost because Micchy said "Hey, get your narrow butt kicked" so she did. |

The show seems to insinuate that Marika literally lost, which isn't surprising considering how powerful Kachidoki is. |

I definitely agree it's a jealousy. He has known all this time that Kouta was his rival for Mai's affections. The fact that she slapped him and took Kouta's side was what really peeled his grapes. Which does bring up a good point. When this series started, Kouta had given up dancing because he felt he needed to be a responsible individual. Is it possible it was because he was trying to build toward something more with Mai? |
Her losing fell a little to nicely into Micchy's plan for it not to have been part of his plan all along. Either he sent her there knowing she'd lose, or he told her to lose.
