Can someone explain something to me? Is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood just a retelling of Full Metal, or is it a sequel?

I'm confused because I seem to remember at the end of FMA Al got his body back.. And now he's a suit of armor again.

You should, its vastly superior to the original series.

I liked the original series though. Even if the plot got a little convoluted in places.

So did I, its still one of my favourite series. But that should just go to show how good Brotherhood is.
