I've seen this guy both at ToysRUs and Wal-Mart (Wal-Mart was surprisingly more expensive), but I just can't bring myself to pick him up. I think its mainly the (apparent) lack of paint and the price (being $5 more than a standard megazord yet offering no real transformation on its own). For right now I think I'll wait on a decent discount or the $100 gift set with all 5 zords.

I'm glad you compare it with the Bayformers Grimlock toy. The similarity is there.

Lets be completely honest, this movie will fail. Maybe not in the eyes of the general public, but for the hardcore fanbase. But excluding that fact, the zord design isn't completely terrible, their alright. The change to make the zords look more like something out of a super mecha anime is alright.

I really like the look of this. My only issue is what the final cost will be and how long will these take to all be released? I don't want to take 6 months to build one damn megazord.

It looks.... interesting. I'm not sure if I would pick it up, though.

It still just looks so, so bad... And should've figured it out by now that it part forms. Which is in its own way just kinda sucks.
But maybe it'll still be popular with the kids somehow. *shrug* |
Judging by just how big the T-Rex is by itself, the full Megazord is going to be absolutely MASSIVE. I don't think I'll jump down that rabbit hole.

It looks like it'll be a fun toy for young kids to play with, that seems like the only plus. It's be cool if we eventually recieved much more detailed figures of these Zords. Something with like NECA style detailing.

Can't wait to see it in action once the movie is out!
