If this is a Playing Card themed-rider, it would be really cool to see different riders with differently themed decks. Maybe even some riders mix-and-match the decks for different results.


The only aspect that would be really odd for a Card gimmick is the lack of sounds in the gimmick itself. While Geats had a few Form changes (and minor buckles) that generated sounds, the Desire Driver really left a lot of options for buckles generating their own sound. In regard to Kamen Rider, it seems like Bandai has been wanting to move away from sounds that can only be accessed with the belt itself (which hasn't been done since Build, or if we are counting a belt with no upgrades outside of Belt Sounds, Wizard).

They could have a Card Slot that has some sort of device that has a faux card or Blank Card activation (with only corresponding lights), or there could be cards for attacks/small form changes and then a different gimmick for the forms

There is always another option, being just barcodes for every item (like Ultraman Orb and Decker), with extra items being their own henshin device, but that would be really unusual for Rider.

And the last option I can think of is that Cards are not the gimmick at all, and that either A) the gimmick is something else entirely or B) Cards are used, but cosmetic and used for something else (like the energy items in Ex-Aid that are essentially Buttabasoul medals) or a secondary gimmick, like the Card Riders in Geats.

Is Gotchard gonna be anything like Yu-Gi-Oh with the monsters, magic & trap cards?

Like if Gacha is part of the moif then they could go more of a route of Tablets with the monsters on them so its like cards but not fully

Isn't it thrice? Ryuki, Blade and Decade. But it is worth noting that the cards are popular and easy to store. Also in Sentai, they used gears for two years in a row.

Yeah cards are popular and easy to understand. It's been plenty long enough since Decade to return to cards in some way.

Tablets will do. Like stone tablets or glass tablets. They'll represent to us as cards in ways.

Can you imagine the main villains like the Undead? They better be based on tarot cards.

The Fool must be the first enemy. And The Lovers is good for a dramatic couple of episodes.
