I agree with all of this! It?s rare to find someone with a level head, media literacy, and critical thinking skills on the internet in this day and age.

One point of contention, though. I do expect next year?s sentai to be called something along the lines of, ?Robo Universe Something-ger/man/etc.? There are some pretty strong indicators that there is a legitimate rebranding of the franchise in the works.

Some rumors/speculations according to a Japanese entertainment news site.

- A new type of tokusatsu hero show with a different kind of story and character structure likely is being planned.

- Show may start airing February 2026, and auditions have apparently begun according to an insider.

The thought that comes to mind personally at the moment (should all the above be true) is maybe it will still be a team but we get a core hero backed up by a crew that collectively forms the team. So, it would be we get the "red ranger" of the show being the hero and what were the blue, yellow, green, black, and pink ranger-equivalent will be the supporting cast that completes the ensemble, with a tsuika senshi later being added like secondary and tertiary riders depending on the narrative.

In a sense, it kind of feels like the shift that Metal Heroes had where they started with a singular hero like Gavan or Janperson but later shifted to having multiple heroes like they did in Winspector or B-Fighter. Of course, not saying it will be exactly like it since the Super Sentai brand may be dropped completely for a totally new tokusatsu hero brand.


If they do go with Robo Universe as the new brand, and suppose this detective/investigator hero becomes a thing, a detective who pilots a giant robot to save the day would be fun, something in the lines of Toei Spider-Man or Tetsujin 28/Gigantor.

If what I looked up turns out to be true, maybe not next year or for a while. But let's not forget, Kamen Rider had a 12-year hiatus with three movies in between till Kuuga was released, so doesn't mean there's no reason for it to come back, just not right away.
