I made my first order on Mandarake: a Mini-Pla Go-Buster Ace! I love that guy.

However I'm kinda confused with the "Make payment in 3 days" thing.

Do they work like HLJ, charging you credit card automatically; or you actually have to tell your bank company to make a payment, sorry for being a noob lol.

I simply don't want to make any mistakes.

Depending on the creditor, you might have to authorize the international purchase. Other than that it should be like any other credit card purchase.

It worked perfectly fine with previous japanese orders (mostly HLJ) so I guess there won't be any problem.

Discovering it too late, I seem to have missed the preorder for Gold Super Akiba Red. Do any of the retailers stock extras of the exclusives at all? The only place I see it listed is BBTS and I'd like to hope I can do better than their price.

I highly recommend them. They're well priced, fast and you don't have to pay until 2 weeks before release date. I get all my Tamashii Web Exclusives from them as well as the Sailor Senshi. They also seem to get their Tamashii exclusives much faster then anywhere else and regular releases before Amiami and HLJ.

the FAQ on their sight reads a little, let's say odd. In your experience, does a pre-order of items with several release dates have to be paid in full upon the release of the first item? That's what I'm taking away from the site.

I assumed that. That's why I made 2 different orders.

I'm not sure, I'm sorry, I've only ever pre-ordered one item at a time/items with the same release date.

I think they don't hold items, so they'll charge you shipping+postage for the items as they come in stock, I think. I'm 100% not sure, they have very polite customer service, try emailing or even calling them, just ask for English and they'll hook you up with an English speaking worker.

I preordered Hurricane Red and the Hurricane Blue and Yellow pack from Nippon-Yasan at the same time. I didn't receive a payment reminder before Red started shipping from them and I, foolishly, presumed they'd just bill me for everything when the other two were released. Nope. I had the whole order cancelled. No big deal, really, but it's single items at a time for me from now on. They were nice people to deal with though.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation, that's good to know. There are several upcoming exclusives I want to purchase, so I figure its time to take the plunge.

I just double checked AmiAmi and I dont see anything that woul be the DX set. Or Bragigas, hi minipla is up though.

I e-mailed them and they told me it sold out. It doesn't surprise me. All of the DX stuff doesn't show up on the front page. You have to be aware of the release date and check manually right when they go up.

All the Gaim stuff went up and sold out under my nose. And I didn't check in time for Gabutyra de Carnival either.

That's why I sent them an email just in case.

Damn i need Bragi and the DX set. I cannot miss those.

Yeah, I'm not sure what time the orders for the DX stuff go up, but I don't doubt that it's similar to the figuarts activations. Only you don't get advanced notice. I bet they sell out in a matter of hours if not minutes.

The fact that HLJ hasn't put up Bragigas either gives me some hope. My timezone is very similar to most of Japan, so I should've seen him go up if he had.

I haven't gotten confirmation of my order yet, so I don't know what the point is of logging into paypal to check out, since I didn't have to authorize a payment or anything. Unless they have had a lot of problems with people choosing paypal when checking out, but not having paypal accounts? idk.

The last week or so it's been taking forever to get confirmation emails from Mandarake. I had to email Umeda and Sapporo because four days passed for each without a word from them. I don't know if the new system is the cause, but they've been pretty darned slow lately.

I got auto email, not an invoice. Now I'm worried. I hope they work it out soon.

Well, someone at Mandarake is on their game, since I got an order cancellation notification because CJX was out of stock. FUGGFISHI it was there for like a month!

But I found, somehow, another one in a different store that ALSO had Baron, both for the same price. So maybe this time? Anyway, I guess they worked the bugs out, or kind of, because they were able to get back to me before.
