Watching more of the English dub of Tamers.
A lot of people would call the shifts in personalities "Betrayals" (Terriermon going from a mellow hippie to a snarky smartass, Rika going from a stoic and cold bitch to an insulting, rude bitch, etc etc), but I enjoy them more. Makes Terriermon a lot more interesting to watch, makes Rika's character arc a lot more impacting, and Takato doesn't seem as much of a wuss :p

I also like Guilmon calling Takato "Takatomon" more, not just dropping it after one episode, and Calumon being much more enthralled with the human world, rather than being confused by it.

If there's one thing I do miss, though. It's the "EVOLUTION" line.
Damn, I love that line. If I could get the English dub and replace the chick with that line, I'd be in heaven :lol

I like Calumon, too.
I just prefer him in the dub (Taking the human world in stride, enjoying it) rather than the original (Being confused and scared of his new surroundings).

Calumon is the kind of character that usually annoys the shit out of me but my God it is just so cuuuuute!

Just finished up Adventure 01. Hearing Apocalymon made it clear this was a Saban dub, the guy talked like a Samurai MOTW

and now guncannon109's top 3 lines from english Apocalymon:

3. "Always save your receipts, the warranty was probably still good on those things."
2. "Wait a minute, what am I laughing at? I'm supposed to be depressed!"
1. "Why do all of you get the pizza, while all I get is the crust!"

That line killed any ounce of interest and "Coolness" Apocalymon had, even when I was like, 9 years old, that line was too much.

After Devimon and Piedmon and the threats they posed, hearing Apocalymon drop that one liner made me shake my head and lose all interest.

Yeah, Apocalymon killed it for me. Just as well it was only two (well, one and a half) episodes.

Knowing that he was the final villain was the only reason why I even kept watching.
If Devimon or Piedmon had dropped that line I would've given up on Digimon a lot earlier. :lol

and then you wouldn't have gotten to see Tamers.

Saban ruined the climactic fight in Adventure.
Everything about Adventure 02's climax was utter crap. (Let's beat the villain by feeling good! Yeah!)

I honestly don't know why I stayed to watch Tamers, but I'm glad I did.

I only dislike Apocalymon because he came out of freaking nowhere.

Did anyone ever play the collectable card game? Wasn't my thing, but I did collect some of the cards.

I knew people in Elementary School that owned the cards but i never saw them in stores.

Neither did I. The only ones I had came with toys. I had MagnaAngemon and Angewoman, because they came packed in those little skateboard thing. And ... Damn. The bigass Digimon Dog Turtle with the Hammer?

I used to be able to. Back with the original run of 01. I could name each DigiDestined, and their Digimon, and their Digivolutions up to Ultimate. Without hesitation.

I wanted to, but all I ever found was the starter deck.

I loved my HerculesKabuterimon card. I wished so much for Tentomon to actually reach it.
However, this was the first series, before I knew that only the lucky main 2 actually got super forms and the rest got jack sh*t.

As for the game itself, it was fun. My brother and I played it some (I honestly can't say we played it a lot. We found the Pokemon card game to be a lot easier and more fun to play).
The biggest reason why we didn't play it all that often was because we could never find booster packs, so we were playing each other with essentially the same deck (While we did get some other cards in a similar way Sentai did, it was still just 3 or 4 card differences).

I would've loved them all to get Fourth Digivolutions. But you're forgetting the first rule of Digimon. The Two Main Characters get everything, Screw Everyone Else. (03 being the Exception)

And Fusion.

Man. Tentomon was easily my favorite Digimon in Adventure. I really, really wish he got to do more.

That was really hit and miss for me. You mean DNA-Digivolution? Angemon's was just.. odd. How the hell do you combine an Armodilla and an Angel and get that?!

Like me and Beetlemon/JP. Every episode I was like "Alright! Here we... Oh. Oh wonderful... He gave up his power again and is standing there. .. What else is on."

The Fusion thing really didn't matter since Imperialdramon made everyone else look like a little bitch.
Talk about completely undermining the entire cast.

"Oh! Imperialdramon Dragon Mode has supersonic flight and extremely powerful and destructive fireballs and can generate a shield around his back so others can ride him while he flies at Mach 16 and his Fighter mode is giant and it has twin plasma cannons on his arms that can obliterate anything and his armor is unbreakable and he can create an even BIGGER cannon out of nothing that can kill anything in one shot! Oh, and he can hijack Omnimon's body and turn it into a sword!"

God, I hated Imperialdramon.
