There's not going to be any news out of SDCC most likely (the mystery box everyone's been speculating about at LEGO's booth is confirmed to be a licensed product, so is almost definitely Minecraft), but with BrickFair next week... who knows when an announcement could come? For now it's still all leaks and rumors.

Also looks like we have Tahu and Lewa at the very least. Can't make out the names on the other boxes, but we know who they are. ;) Although IMO only Tahu looks any good among the Toa...

Looking at that leaked store display, it seems they're returning to brown as the stone color. Didn't they stop using it in favor of orange after the Phantoka?

I think it was the Toa Inika, Hewki started using yellow instead of the go to brown he same thing again in his Mahri form as well as the that one Barakai Car.. something.

Right, I thought the Inika were after the Phantoka, and I completely forgot about the Mahri (shame on me, they used to be my favorite Toa team). Regardless, my point was that I find it odd that they're going back to brown.

I don't have a Lego store near me...oh well, Target FTW.

My wallet will definitely hate me now. I still need to get the rest of the figures from 2001 - 2010!

Yep, brown has been very sparingly used since 2006. I think only one Hero Factory release used it... and the closest BIONICLE came after that point was in 2009 with the Vorox, who only had it as highlights and were primarily tan.

Supposedly it didn't sell well.

But they probably decided it was wroth trying again after so many years without it in the market... and, ya know, nostalgia will help sell too. ;)

They won't. It's not a hard thing to understand, either... Nor should anyone get mad about it (since a lot do... Not saying you would, of course, just making a general observation).

In order to maintain a healthy relationship with LEGO, they actually listen to what's asked of them and never post leaked information. Ever. This is one hundred percent a (potential) leak, not a confirmation. So they won't comment on it.

I have to give Andrew some major respect for still abiding by that rule (and hey, I was once of the guys enforcing it anyways :p). And it works out for him and the site.

I assume their rule agaisnt leaks still exists.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Extra Toa in the Titan set lines.... Toa Takanuva and Toa Lihkan were darn awesome.

Kalmah... was so... SUPER SIMPLE, but I loved the dude design and loved him even more when I got him in hands.

I know that and I commend them for that. I never said I had a problem with the "no leaks" rule either, in fact I kinda like it. :)
It means that I can't get let down by the current wave of unfounded hype if I treat their news feed as gospel. I'd like Neo-Bionicle as much as the next guy, but if the only evidence is one low-res image, I'm not going to get invested.

And I'm not saying hype is bad either! I'm saying unfounded hype is bad. The Ruby and Sapphire remake hype is one I love in spades, but only because it's hype for what we know is coming and have tangible and empirical proof is coming.

Looking real good! I hope this line will be accessible to newcomers as well as fans. I always wanted to get into Bionicle, but it was before the time I could spend lots on toys. :lol

It would be great to see the engineering improvements done in Hero Factory be put to good use. :)

I should probably buy some of these when they come out. Bionicle's are the only Lego toys i've ever owned. :lol

Emulation pieces would be cool too, like Hero Factory panels with tampographed designs of the old system and the like. And lest get new Kanohi including ones only seen in ink, new names for Kanohi, in-universe heroes of old being shown off (Toa Naho and the Ko-Matoran Ihu) new Rahi, maybe even new games in the MNOG style!

But alas, until I see actual confirmation of this, I will not pay much mind to it. It's just fun to hypothesize.

I've been catching up on all this Bionicle returning news over the past few days and it almost feels unreal to think that it's coming back. Bionicle was my single favorite series of toys as a kid, I was so excited to get the first sets. I remember it was the Turaga, they were selling them in a catalog as a special set of all six and I think it was before any other sets actually hit retail. I have so many great memories of Bionicle, it's great that they're finally bringing it back.

Well today I dismantled that giant I showed off a while back so that I'd have enough parts to create some new things. I've been watching a lot of mecha anime as of late so I decided to create some giant robot action. I based them mostly to be my own Evas, though after looking at the finished product I can kinda see some other mechas in there (with one specifically I see some Gundam). So yeah, here's the three giants I built with their pilots standing at their feet. And yes, I am aware the names of the mechas suck :lol
