Love the colors, love the mask, love the hoodie/cloak, and overall I just dig the magic based powers. Drive is cool, but I'm over the aesthetics of the riders. Can't wait to see more of this.

I'd wondered if the design was going to incorporate the single-eye-ghost I see so often in Japanese media, and it seems it sorta does, but it's the driver, not the mask.

I'm guessing we'll see perpetual hoodie swaps along the lines of Tire Koukan and Arms Change. I wonder whether the mask will change when the hoodie changes.

I expect my friend will be thrilled when he hears about Drive possibly ending earlier. (We had a discussion the other day about how the latest arc felt a lot like one of the last episodes of a Rider season.)

He's hoping the sounds are incredibly fun. Bandai is pretty great at that.

I hope Ghost goes back to the ways of Gaim where the pacing is much better and no more two part episodes. I don't know why they went back to ways of W-Wizard with Drive with Gaim doing so well. They should have stick with the format that Gaim had with Drive. Drive just bores me and it's a chore for me to finish. It's like the Kiva of the Neo Heisei rider shows in my opinion.

I love it so so so much. The punk-ish Halloween look with the orange and black, the motif, just everything. As a fan of horror and especially the Halloween/Haunt season, this appeals to me in every possible way. Cannot wait to see the actual suit and the show and to buy all of the figuarts.

It didn't do as well as western fans think. The ratings for Gaim were lower than Wizard even. The toy sales were a decent chunk higher but that's about it. The show wasn't even run of the mil as far as ratings are concerned, it was bottom of the barrel.

That's going to be up to the writer and producer. Last I heard, the rumor was that the head writer is going to be Sho Aikawa, who took over the second ohalf of Blade and did the first part of Decade. Based on that I'm going to assume we'll be sticking with two-episode arcs and not the long serialized story of Gaim. Hopefully they'll have some stronger ongoing elements, though, like we've been seeing with Drive in the last couple months. I've been finding that far preferable to the "victim and monster of the fortnight" approach we've had so much of.

Sho Aikawa isn't working on Ghost, the thing he was teasing beforehand was for an anime. Plus later in an interview with tokunet he confirmed himself he wasn't doing ghost.

So we're back to being in the dark about who's writing.

Naruhisa Arakawa or Toshiki Inoue would be nice to have come back as a writer for Ghost.

Rider and Gimmick look great. Now I'm hoping we get either a drive situation where all the different gimmicks work all across the secondaries and such, or gaim where we get lots of riders using the same belt but just different eyecons.

I imagine it would do ok so long as the hoodie doesn't get too long. If he gets a form where it turns into a trenchcoat, then I'd be worried. I think it'll turn out ok though. At least the base form will.

ok fashion aside and knowing its a rumor, I love the design. The henshin sequence is ok? but really the design combines The Bee from kabuto and a loner with a hood. The unicorn horn is meh but I hope this becomes a thing!

Toei seems to be aware that Gaim generated a particular type of passion in some viewers (and likely a different demographic) that they may not typically associate with toku, given that they keep putting out more "Gaim Gaiden." I confess that once they were past the shiny street-dancing episodes, the narrative was considerably less kid-friendly.

I'd gotten the sense that Toei normally treats Sentai and Rider as vehicles for selling products rather than as products in themselves. I'm curious as to whether Gaim Gaiden represents an experiment in selling a Rider series, or if it's just intended to extend the DX and Arms Change lines, since I gather they're doing well.

(Urobuchi tangent: I just watched the finale of Madoka with friends last night. Gosh!)

Either way, I'm very much looking forward to seeing the final suit for Ghost. The bodysuit details look pretty nifty. I wonder if there's a full helmet under the hoodie (likely,) or if we're getting a mask.

I'm in love with this design already. The hoodie look and the color scheme are A+ in my book.

I can't wait to see the AC/TK equivalent for Ghost, it's definitely gonna be a hoodie switch gimmick so I'm looking forward to how they pull that off, especially if they also incorporate the fact his face changes, actually might be very gaim like with a clear plastic head and the face part just plugs in via the back.

Maybe Ghost won't have a swapping gimmick. It could be like the WAP figures where he just lights up and glows in the dark.

I'd love to have Arakawa on another Rider show. I'm not sure what he's been doing since Akibaranger, so he may be available.

Could be a mix? Like the fact that the hoodie drapes over his base form is reminiscent of den-o and gaim is what makes me think he'll have a swapping gimmick of some form.

Something thats easier to understand for a kid between the age of three and five and where they dont have to tune in every week or else they are completely lost on whats actually happening.

They understood that the ones liking Gaim where the older fanbase. Which is why they are doing the DVDs and having Lock Seeds attached to those. Something the kids will probably never own.

I just hope that if they have to milk Gaim until its deader than dead that they could at least put some kind of effort into it with the new Gaiden coming out.

I always felt like that they did a bad job on marketing Gaim. I remember the early ads for the show made it look like a silly campy show fill with dancing and bright colors. That may have turn people off since no one knew how serious the show was going to be later on.

Yet the show had better ratings in the beginning of the show than it had at the tail end. The worst rated episodes of that show where the final five or so episodes.

And the toyline only exploded in the first quarter with only the arms change figures consistently selling really well.
