So I finally received my bundle of the Ghost Driver and Gan Gun Saber and woah these are really fun toys. They have a really nice weight to them and the Saber's alternate modes are really fun to switch around. Also love how the cobra phone can attach to it because my Gun Hand is still with HLJ.

I gotta say it feels great to finally use Newton in the driver.

The iris with the code on it looks strange. It looks like a horizontal "1" or a "-".

It's the kanji 一. It's the first character in Ikkyu's name (一休). Though it is also the kanji for 1.

Unfortunately, Pythagoras is just P. It would've been interesting if non-show Eyecons just had kanji numbers, I guess. My preference would just be the first character in their names in their respective languages (so for Pythagoras, Π) but oh well. P it is.

That makes me wonder why Ikkyu didn't get the letter, "I"?

I'm guessing just because it's in Japanese. So they're probably just using Japanese for the Japanese ones (or they would, if all the other Japanese ones weren't being used for the show) while western ones just get roman letters. The Special Eyecon also had the 氣 kanji from Kishidan (氣志團) as opposed to just K or S for special, so I'm guessing that's it.

If that's the case, then the remaining famous people eyecons should have a letter, except for Ishinomori which should have a kanji. This also makes me wonder what those 2 combo eyecons will have?

The only weird thing is if they were gonna use all of them there'd be some repeats. For instance, N(ightingale) and N(apoleon) when we already have N(ecrom), G(alileo) and G(host), S(haskespeare) and S(pecter), or D(arwin) and D(a Vinci) (though this could easily be a V as well). Really the only unused one that isn't a repeat is Columbus...I guess they'd figure it out, probably use some first names (still a few repeats then though).

Of course that's only an issue if they do use these. Which I do really hope they do, but we'll see.

Shinsengumi and tenkatoitsu are definitely mysteries in all respects though. Numbers like the usual show heroic Eyecons? Letters like the base forms? Kanji cause Japanese? Really, it's a mystery how they'll even handle the colors and shapes and masks for these. No idea.

So the Ikkyu Eyecon comes with the February TV-Kun? I know from comparing kanji that the January issue has the Ikkyu DVD. Trying to make sure I don't miss any Eyecons lol.

I've decided I'm just going for the Eyes that appear in-show. Kind of a relief that I won't be hunting any of these special Eyecons down in the future. That is unless Ghost pulls a Rocket States later on in the series... Please no.

I'll do the same, unless it's a really reasonable price and it's just staring at me. If that happens, I'll probably just get it, but I doubt that'll happen.

While we're at it, Boost stuff is kinda disappointing. I was really hoping there would be something more to the Eyecon. Some different lights or patterns maybe. But it just...lights up. Kind of an expensive trinket for just being able to do one thing. Eh, hopefully it has some interesting sounds. And for what it's worth, it does look super sexy. The trans red looks great.

GC figure is weeeeeak. The hoodless thing looked promising in the catalog, but this is stupid. It looks bad, makes the hooded look have those red tabs, and it still doesn't let him move his head. That's just dumb. I mean, the figure itself looks pretty great, but man that hood is below average.

Alright. At this point the lack of ANY info regarding the Genesis set is SUPER weird.

Yeah. There's been rumors of some sort that the Genesis stuff has been cancelled based on how little information (none) we've gotten, but that's...weird. Kamen Rider stuff is mostly a big ol toy commercial, movies included. What good is a toy commercial without any toys to market?

Maybe it was just pushed to January, though that'd still be super weird since the movie comes out in less than two weeks.

But oh well, I guess at least with this lineup and GC Boost being kinda eh it means the only things I'm getting in December are the Benkei and Boost Eyecons. Cheap month. I was gonna just ship everything out early for Christmas but with 'everything' just being 3 Eyecons there's no point to not waiting for January. Sunglasslasher, Megauruoda, Hoodie, Gashapons...January's gonna be expensive.

It is kind of interesting how the Sunglasslasher isn't being released alongside Boost. I guess it's a Perfect Zecter situation where technically that's Kabuto Hyper's weapon, but he doesn't actually get it until a fair bit after the Hyper Zecter.

The GC Boost hood looks really bad. At leaat they tried to make it be able to go down but it just didn't work. I just hope they don't try to do that again with other form change hoodies. The Boost eyecon was kind of a disappointment since I was hoping for more than just it lighting up. The GC Benkei and Beethoven look really good and I'm glad were getting the naginata mode in the GC line. It's been a while now. Where's GC Newton? I hope it comes with Himiko.

It'll definitely appear after Boost's debut since it wasn't in any of the scans for December.

Toucon is a pun on Toukon (Fighting Spirit) and Icon. Also the Boost eyecon will have its own sounds too.

I wish HLJ was as fast putting up the DX preorders as they are with the Figuarts...

Also, I guess it must be getting cold in hell because AmiAmi put up preorders for the Boost Eyecon and GC figure? Hella weird.

If it's not too much trouble, make sure to post links when HLJ does get around to doing that. Sometimes I have a hard time finding things on HLJ for a little while after they first go up. Like they don't show up in the "new" or "future" releases section for me.

Well, my buddy shawn linked me to Someone selling the narikiri set on facebook........ Said person has a beethovan/nobunaga set on hold for me as well... and i already own the newton eyecon.... This is the second line ive gotten into because of him, and god damn it my wallet wants to murder me

So is the Tokon Boost Eyecon special in some way, why is it more expensive? Does it have electronics?

And when will it be released? End of the month?

EDIT: Okay, answered that myself: It does have electronics, and it comes out on December 26th. That's cool, I think I buy one.
