So the production is still going on schedule?
|
If I'm understanding your question correctly: Regarding Super Ninja Steel, at this moment, there wouldn't be anything that would change the show considering it wrapped principal production back in May. Learning voice acting roles later on for the second half of the show way later is normal.
|
Jeremy Birchall is back with a second voice this season. He's also voicing "Shelldax" (also recorded back in February) - http://jeremybirchall.com/page8/page8.html

That's a pretty nice box
|
the show being accessible
The reason why characters explain what is happening on the screen is because they are trying to make the show accessible to the blind.

The voting pool is generally kids that are more tweens, not so much the under 10 crowd. The demographics for Ninja Steel is mostly the 10 and under crowd. Expecting demographic shows for the 10 and under to win when the voting pool is predominately the 11-14 areas and some mixed older, isn't exactly intelligent. Stranger things won because it's good, and because it appeals to kids that want to feel 'adult' without being an adult. As well as having a much wider fan base that has more free internet access and free time. While Power Rangers current demographic for ninja steel, typically would have monitored internet access. That's not to say a future show can't win by having a wider demographic appeal. I'm referring only to this case of Stranger Things vs Ninja Steel. By the very nature of Stranger Things being nominated, and the fact it's netflix, suggested it was the strongest contender right out of the gate. Audience voted awards shows are typically predictable in that regard. At least the KCA, TCA, and PCA. But the other difference between stranger things and Ninja Steel is that Ninja Steel has a stronger merchandising presence, while Stranger Things has close to none. While older kids may enjoy it, they don't buy toys that often. So asking power rangers to go for a full Stranger Things approach may not be best for the market either. It'd need to find a middle ground between there and where ninja steel is at. |
Stranger Things isn't even in the same age rating, genre, and tone compared to basically every Tokusatsu series barring like, Garo
why are you even comparing them |
Has there been any news as to when Super Ninja Steel will return to Nick with new episodes?

25th Anniversary News courtesy of IGN
http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/...arkedimage.jpg Apparently the episode will air on August 28th, the same day MMPR debuted. So Tommy will be Green Ranger (shame, I want him to be White), and Kat will be Pink Turbo Ranger? Huh. |
Sounds exciting! I'm glad Koda and Trent are returning especially!
|
As someone pointed out on Discord, at least Kat is consistent in missing the keyhole. Lol!!
|
Wait West will be in this? Damn does this mean I have to watch Ninja Steel?
|
I'm just gonna watch the special. Really don't have any interest in watching Ninja Steel :lol
Also, no Alien Rangers or Ninja Storm confirmed? Come on, I may not like either, but don't let me down :p |

Personally I'm hoping with that Graphic Novel coming out that this will have Kat and Tommy as a couple married or otherwise.
Because I want to see the reaction of the hardcore Tommy/Kim shippers to the pairing getting nuked again. |

I like you. |

I have no problem with peeps who just write AUs where they never broke up and are chill about the pairing. |
Season resumes August 25, the Saturday before the 25th anniversary special.

The following Tuesday, our childhood is recognized on its 25th Birthday! This kinda echoes the prime-time debut of Samurai! All excerpts that follow the new pic mention a new foe, but go no further! Really curious here... Aside from Kat's Turbo Key error, her prop Morpher looks really bland! And all of a sudden, EVERYONE cares about Ninja Super Steel again, if only for one episode! Maybe the Anniversary Episode will be an hour long special that will get split into two parts later in reruns! Just a thought! |
Here's hoping this anniversary special makes up for Super Megaforce.
*Breaks into laughter* Nope, couldn't do it with a straight face. Who are we kidding. |

However, the features leading up to the newest team-up (videos and images, and unmorphed Wes with a Chrono Blaster) give some hope that we will get some classic actors to do some QUALITY ACTING!!! For everyone's consideration: Super Megaforce had people with potential stand there like fallen tree logs in a vertical position, speaking lines that taste worse than cardboard, and the "story" (such as it was) was a glue model that everyone was trying to fix with scotch tape! The bad editing, random use of Sentai Rangers WITHOUT explanation, shameless merger of Goseiger and Gokaiger, condensed episode run (blaming Nick for that one), questionable writing and directing, and overall rushed effort don't make for good re-viewing! All that said, I do believe that Megaforce should return to try to mitigate some of this damage! Hasbro is moving forward by taking a step back with Sentai and using Go-Busters! I see no reason why a "Super Megaforce Returns" couldn't happen, using some of the unused Gokaiger footage! Hasbro might be more receptive to such an idea, if fans are loud enough! Until then, Ninja Super Steel will have to try and give us a live-action free-for-all that reminds us why we love this franchise! Let's have an Anniversary Villain that we enjoy! Let's not have a thousand continuity gaffes! Let's have Sledge make a cameo and talk smack to Tommy! I'm still in college, but I aim to come home after classes and wait to the right time on that Tuesday night and thoroughly enjoy myself with the 25th Birthday Celebration of this franchise I've enjoyed! P.S.: Given the dream sequence at the start of Megaforce, does that make Troy something of a callback to Natsumi from Kamen Rider Decade, who dreamed about the upcoming Rider War!? |
