The flame effect part looks fantastic!

Right now the only Pokemon I'm getting is Mewtwo.
Charizard's proportions and body type just doesn't look good for a D-Art. Plain and simple.

I'm getting all of them. Because reasons. Maybe not right at release, but eventually. If they're not so popular, maybe I can get them on bargain deals.

Thinking about just how damn cheap Wargreymon got made me hesitate on Charizard... Wondering, could I get this cheaper later?

I think Wargreymon's tanking had to do with the figure's oversized claws and the decision to use metallic gold instead of matte.

I still wish he'd have come with an effects set for Terra Destroyer. He had the best finisher.

Considering the sheer size of it, the only viable effect he'd be able to include would be a piddly little pre-expansion version.

I guess it would be a little ungainly. Still, I'd buy one. That on screen was just freaking epic.

The others are Agunimon, Lobomon, Kazemon, Kumamon, and Lowemon (Or Duskmon while he's evil).
If we do have to suffer through Frontier releases, we had best get Beetlemon, Lowemon, and Susanoomon, if anything...

I hated Frontier too, but mostly because I just found the concept of them turning into the Digimon too effing ridiculous. I also just didn't care for the designs of most.

Dynasmon and Crusadermon, though... I do like the former a whole lot, and the latter might be got just to complete the Royal Knights.

I'm one of perhaps a dozen who actually LIKES Frontier so I'd probably love to see the Spirit Legendary Warriors in D-Arts.

But my top priority would be the Dark Masters. Especially Machinedramon.

Dynasmon and Crusadermon are Royal Knights. I'll get them solely through my desire to own a full set of them (Despite one Knight still being unrevealed).

I learned to tolerate the human Digimon thing thanks to Tamers, so the concept itself wasn't bad for me. How it was handled, however, is where I get angry. Outside of debut episodes for their armors, the 3 kids outside of Takuya and Koji did almost nothing. MetalKabuterimon's appearances could probably be counted on one hand, and the beast spirit aspect as a whole seems to exist solely to pad out the "Armor search" arc.
And THEN there's Koichi and the Darkness Spirits, whose entire story is just stupid, but when he joins the main group and the Darkness Spirits get purified, I think he uses Lowemon twice and JagerLowemon once before MagnaGarurumon rears his stupid face and requires TEN SPIRITS (Likewise for EmperorGreymon).

And the kicker? They LOSE almost every fight they're in! Dynasmon and Crusadermon kick their asses for like, 10 episodes straight!

Frontier is like Hibiki and Go-Busters; it tried to do something different and break away from the established routines but didn't carry it off well enough and wound up right back in the same rut as its predecessors.

Really? I thought it was a cool concept. It was the them being naked during the Spirit Evolution sequence I didn't like. I also personally like a lot of the designs.

EDIT: I think Paladin put it best comparing it to Hibiki. I would also compare it to Macross 7 in that aspect.

I'm not going to give them credit for an idea wrapped around a horribly written and flawed series, especially since they're piggybacking of Tamer's Biomerge Evolution, just taking the Digimon portion out of the equation.

It's ultimately one unique idea (Spirits instead of partners), written around the same cast (Brash leader, cold second who leaves the team briefly, action girl who fails at action, and a late bloomer), a story that feels so generic shonen it hurts, and a weak "Twist" (Koichi).
It brings one new dish to the table, but ultimately, it's serving the same thing every other series other than Tamers served.

I was 7 at the time, so I guess that's why I'm so forgiving. :lol
