I'm surprised so many like Rarity.
When I first joined the fandom, Rarity was fighting with AJ for bottom pony.

But when I revealed Rarity as my favorite, so many others followed suit.

Nah i liked rarity since ep 1. All i had to hear was her reaction to twi spark living in canterlot and i loved how overdramatic they made her.

Rarity kind of became a lot of people's favorite at the end of Season 1 and throughout Season 2. She really started to shine then.

Perhaps I should thank you for that, since at the time, her and Roseluck were competing for my favorite background pony.

Watching episode 3 right now... and Rarity goes down a peg because how damn self absorbed she is. Also Fluttershy goes up to four, she's just very pleasant to have on screen, even when all five ponies are bitching at each other over Twilight's extra ticket.

To be fair AJ is also my least favorite.

She's boring, plain and simple.
Sure, Fluttershy episodes are awesome (Dragonshy and Putting Your Hoof Down are awesome episodes), but when she's an incidental character or has a minor role, watching her is just dull. She can't bring life to a one note scene like Pinkie or Rarity.

And I've always been disappointed in the lack of AJ love. She's so charming x3

I love the CMC, Sweetie Belle being my personal favorite.
I can understand why some people would find them annoying, but I personally love them. I had the doofiest grin when I first saw the Show Stoppers.

I think people were initially annoyed that the CMCs appeared so often and that their cutie mark destinies were smack dab right in their face and they couldn't see it. I think a lot of us got over it and now love them quite a bit.

My favorite also happens to be Sweetie Belle. I love how the CMCs aren't total rip-offs of their sisters (or Rainbow Dash) and Sweetie Belle is probably the best example of this. That and she's adorable and Michelle Creber has a great singing voice.

Well, for Apple Bloom, who's whipped up potions, works on the Apple farm, as well as being good at construction, she has plenty of possible talents for her cutie mark.

But I do love watching them, with AB having none of AJ's patience and Sweetie Belle trying her absolute hardest to be a mini-Rarity and failing hard :lol

The first is her scene from Lesson Zero, which I asterisk'd.

Second scene is from Best Night Ever, which is 1/6th her episode (That episode was specifically set up to constantly rotate between the characters. It is, for all intents and purposes, "Everyone's episode"), she played more than a minor or background role in that episode.

I liked them from day one, I like that they're not brats, or evil like a lot of shows like to potray kids. The CMC are endearing and fun.

If it's any consolation, I love the entire cast (Except Flitter and Cloudchaser). Just because Fluttershy is my least favorite mane 6 doesn't mean I don't love her.
