The fandom pined for the "G'ol days". Funny thing how that turned out. |
The underlying theme of people being upset at Disney was the fact that Disney abandoned the idea of "crossover" episodes starting in Mystic Force. It ruined the "world building" aspect of it (ie: everyone in the same world). With RPM being so drastically and obviously different than the rest of the franchise, fans who wanted that world building claimed it obviously ruined Power Rangers because there was no way to connect it to the rest of Power Rangers.
Fans also believe Disney wanted to kill Power Rangers the second they got it. While there is truth to the fact that Disney was fine to let it run in syndication after Wild Force, they obviously had interest in its potential success or they would have never green-lit a production in New Zealand. However, Disney wasn't a fan of having to work with, or under, TOEI regulation/stipulation/oversight, and it eventually led to the frustration that caused Disney to choose to cancel producing new seasons after RPM. We've learned through examination of Toy Fair 2011, prior to Saban's announcement of purchasing the franchise back, that Bandai had plans to adapt Shinkenger toys to Power Rangers. The same fans that claimed Disney was the downfall of Power Rangers now claim Saban Brands is once again the downfall of Power Rangers, and I feel it's buried in resentment that once again, the franchise has abandoned world-building in exchange for "each season is a new world/universe". It's a creative choice that allows the opportunity not to create continuity conflict (ie: dinosaurs being alive, or people not remembering/knowing how the world was nearly destroyed a handful of times in various season finales). We'll see what Beast Morphers gives us in the sense of world-building, but all should know, the team behind the show is not changing and has already begun pre-production on Beast Morphers. |

And there's another issue when you have the shared setting. Why don't the guys from previous shows help out? Sure there's a lot of cases where they lose their powers and gear... Then get them back for the crossover. Not to mention why does every team always end up recruiting new people? Why don't they ever recruit some of those experienced rangers to fill the ranks? When Zordon needed a sixth ranger he got Tommy who had experience, and when they needed a Gold Ranger they first tried Billy, and when that didn't work went and got Jason back. And that's before we get into the question of why the teams that do get to keep their powers never show up to help when the next set of aliens show up and start wrecking the place. It's good to have the worldbuilding, and yet at the same time it raises it's own issues, and the creators might wonder if it's worth it when most of the audience are kids that aren't going to care in a few years. |
I do think each season works best if contained. Every other season should see a cross over special that sees members of several past ranger teams (single, half, and even full teams). But I would like a special that deals with the overall mythos of past teams and the morphing grid that explains which teams are defunct, which are still active, and which teams exist across the galaxy that opens the door to the inclusion of pre-Zyuranger teams sometime down the road.

I know it sounds crazy but, Swedish Soccer Player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic should get the role of the Gold Beetle Ranger. I know, too early to say
|
$3.00 is not that much.
|
It means for actors to get the sides, they need to pay $3.00 if they don't have a membership with Showfax.
|
Just something I noticed, the "Beast Morphers" trademark is now under SCG Power Rangers LLC and not BZDA that it was originally found under. (Maybe it was trademarked under a different name originally to keep fans from finding it early?)
They also trademarked "Power Morph" - Which may be for some other completely different project or may not even be used for anything. |

What if Shattered Grid leads into this some how?
|
Am I the only one who think that they will call the Buddy Roids a team of Rangers of some kind?

I could see the comics referencing 'the next ranger team', but Beast Morphers itself referencing Shattered Grid? No way. Quote:

Power Rangers Productions is looking for a Story Department Assistant for the Beast Morphers season:
Quote:
With the May 2018-June 2019 dates, and when production usually occurs (with the casting call saying actors need to relocate for 8 months), it's my understanding that Beast Morphers will be two seasons long. |

With the news that Hasbro would be starting to release toys in Spring 2019, it looks like (at the moment) the show will start airing around that same time:
https://i.imgur.com/wILKtQC.png Source: Licensing Source Book Europe - Page 62 Who knows if this will change, but it would allow for everything to shift over at the same time without the show airing first. We'll know more at Licensing Expo later on this month - while this publication says Europe in the title, this article is in reference to Licensing Expo 2018. This is also (I believe) the first image used to reference Beast Morphers apart from those who were at Hasbro's private event at Toy Fair who saw everything with their own eyes and shared the information. |
I just realized the reason why Power Rangers is casting a comedic duo for Beast Morphers. It's so they can be the Gold & Silver Rangers in Beast Morphers.

Beast Morphers to film in the Glen Eden and Hobsonville Point areas.
Glen Eden is where Studio West is located, so this is no big surprise. The Hobsonville Point area has the school - Hobsonville Point Primary - that was used to establish Summer Cove High School. With Beast Morphers having the "secret agency" as it's backdrop, there's bound to be buildings used as an exterior shot, if not just the streets for on location scenes - it's too early to tell if the school will be used again. There's no need for a high school stuff again.

PRetty much read the comments on that post. LOL what were those kids thinking? I don't know if it is just me or if they are actually just gonna screw up.
Bigwigs needs to have BETTER and more credible people for this. |

So on another forum someone said there was a tweet or announcement that Hasbro had commisioned a company to make new suits for Beast Morphers. And not just new main character suits, all the monsters too, due to the age degrading the originals too much. Anyone else hear anything about this?

This was confirmed at sdcc, I believe by Jason Bischoff

iDarkBlaze posted on twitter the other day, a link to this interview with Rorrie Travis. A tour of some sort with the BM cast is coming.
