Wonder if Zero-One and the AIMS Riders will get along sooner or later.

(Mostly mild spoilers but to be safe) Given what we've had recently - even Gaim, with its big Rider fights, had a team form for a bit, Necrom and Rogue were pretty bad for a bit but then redeemed completely, quite a few were antagonistic but still fought the monsters, etc. Then on top of that, evil Rider confirmed. So, probably.

I expect around the time Zero-One gets his Kachidoki equivalent form.

Around the halfway point definitely seems like a safe bet. Personally, I'd really love to see Zero-One actually be on his own up until way late into the show.

Between Build and Zi-O both focusing heavily on the relationship between their main two Riders, a lead hero who can't rely on anyone else would be a welcome change of pace.

Maybe they'll pull a Kabuto and have the lead character be unable to rely on the rider :lol

I think Eitoku is most likely to play Zero-One since he has the most experience. Iirc Yuuya Nawata was a sub for Takaiwa during a series' final episodes, it wasn't until Geiz where he has a major role.

Hiden and AIMS will have a "good" relationship fairly early IMO.
Considering the situation of the characters in the known plot, Hiden has only Izu and the probably-not-so-friendly vice president to interact with. That's too few.
It will get quickly old to have a lot of ArutoXIzu = explain my joke moments, or ArutoXJun = I'm torn between hating Aruto and the good of my company moments.

Even if I don't like it, i expect something like the SougoXGeiz. But maybe with Isamu being less adamant than Geiz.
I don't see Isamu being buddy buddy with Aruto like Banjo and Sento were or even live in the same place, but for the sake of character interactions they will have to get together quite a lot. and there is also this "Assault Hopper" upgrade that seems to be a combination of their powers so I don't know.

Probably at some point, they'll begin to be close, and that's when the secret about the Hiden incident that injured Isamu will make them apart again. Standard KR trope.

For real? Did not know that. If Eitoku gets the role this could be what Hibiki was to Ito. Speaking of Ito, seems like he has retired and has since went on to start a new career as a Judo therapist.

What about Valkyrie?

Since we never really had a main female rider, I don't know how they will handle her really. I guess she will be where Vulcan is most of the time.
I don't really get that part of her bio. It is said that "she is brave and fight to protect the city VS terrorists but she also feels hatred towards HumaGear, but tries to suppress it during battle."
Why would you suppress it in battle ? If the HumaGear goes on rampage, that's precisely the time you "should" let your hatred explode. Especially if you're all about justice and all. Not when they're not doing anything wrong.



I just hope she "stays a rider" throughout the series.
Considering her scientist background and her involvement in the AIMS Shoot Riser development, she could be the one creating upgrades somehow, but I'm afraid it would make her a side character like Rinna in Drive or Enokida back in Kuuga.

I hope she can be both and stay a rider. But I feel like Izu will be the main "plot female character" somehow and I'm afraid Valkyrie will go on the side at some point.
I don't expect her to be our "third rider" in any way (hope I'm wrong). Most likely another rider will take that spot. A rider that has yet to appear or a Jin/Horobi turned good somehow.

All I'm hoping for Valkyrie is as much as Snipe got. One more upgrade form later down the show, and is present in the action all the way till the end with the occasional focus episode or scene.

An additional personal sidekick like Nico for her is optional. (Though since I'm already on this tangent, it'd probably be a HumaGear who she starts off wary of due to her hatred but then grows attached to overtime).

I have to imagine they mean suppressing it as in not going totally berserk, disregarding strategy entirely and becoming way less effective in combat.

Anyway, I'm not sure where all this pessimism surrounding Valkyrie is coming from. Unless it turns out Yuuya Takahashi is dumb enough to think a straight repeat of what happened with Lazer will still be shocking the second time, there's no reason to think she won't be a major part of the show the whole way through when she's being treated as part of a package deal with Vulcan. I don't really care either way about the upgrades. I have to imagine with a shared Driver to begin with, we'll get a Dead Heat kind of upgrade for the both of them at least, but it's not like we haven't had Riders who don't get showered with upgrades still play a major part in their series before.

Now that the hype of the reveal has passed, are there things you don't like in what was shown so far ?

So far the only point I kinda dislike is the fact the opponent lifeform of this season could easily be "but we only wanted to be recognized as..." AGAIN.
A bit like Roidmudes in Drive and the Bugsters in Ex-Aid. that would be a bit too much.
I hope they'll go another route.

My only concern so far is how Aruto's bad jokes are going to be handled. Again, please for the love of all that is good, don't have his jokes be bad puns that get explained. Make them surreal shit that doesn't work

that's also something i'm afraid of to be honest.
But like someone said on youtube. The setting is good guys VS terrorists, all in the middle of high tech corporations, AIs and some kind of military/police force. the comedy has to come from somewhere even in this rather serious environment.

Something about the initial trailer felt very... Sentai-y in a way I can't quite pin down. Maybe it's how similar a lot of elements and the setting felt to Go-Busters; though honestly, that is hardly what I'd call a bad thing.

The poster and trailer definitely reminds me of Sentai with the two guys and a girl initial set up. Maybe they thought since it's a new era, and that Sentai could *potentially* be cancelled if the rumours are true, they think it could work.

The plot at least in the beginning isn't about androids turning against humans though, but human hackers hacking them to do that. So, they're from the start seen as victims too, not as a late twist.

I'm actually curious to see what direction they'll take Aruto's lack of a sense of humor. Like imagine if his "bad jokes" are secretly KR's way of returning to the old days of the asshole protagonist:

Aruto: Wow that sure was a rather wild ride, right guys? :D

Vulcan and Valkyrie: …

Aruto: What?

Izu: Sir, several A.I.M.S. troopers were killed during that chase.

Just realized that since Zero-One is primarily yellow, that means all three first Rider from each era was based on primary colors. Neato.

But isn't green (Ichigo) a secondary color?

The most commonly known appearance for Ichigo is his final 'upgrade' appearance; which is predominantly green. But his original appearance when the series started could be argued to be blue.

Would like to point out that Valkyrie in her primary Rushing Cheetah form is orange, which is complementary to Vulcan's blue Shooting Wolf form.

Seeing as the suits look pretty minimalist, I'm hoping the fight and stunt choreography are amped up over the past recent seasons.

Man I wish we get to see that color scheme on Ichigo again. I know he's green coz grasshopper, but can't deny the blue and pink eyes works really well.

Nah, I don't think gender has anything to do with it. It is most likely an artistic choice the way I see it especially the way orange complements blue on the color wheel and probably wanna portray a stark contrast between Valkyrie and Vulcan despite being a duo, etc.

I think this is going to be a case where it looks different to different people. Zero-One looks more green than yellow to me.

Yeah it's a bit confusing. The logo color and some photos indicate he is fluorescent yellow but he seems more fluorescent yellow-green in certain other photos or merch.

My eyes have never totally decided exactly what color Gamer Drivers and the highlights on Snipe are, so I definitely think there's some room for interpretation here. It does seem to vary depending on the picture.

Pretty sure Gamer Driver colors are meant to be Acids (green and pink). It fits the retro style/80's/acid candy theme.
All the 5 first riders main colors are acid variations too

As for Zero-one, some toys show the same Acid green as the gamer driver sometimes, but in the 2min trailer he is clearly fluorescent yellow.


Some toy scans appeared about Flying Falcon Key and reveals that if Rising Hopper punchline is "A jump to the sky turns to a rider kick", Falcon punchline (in the hiden driver at least) will be "Spread your wings and prepare for a force"
