Fredbob would be correct, a 7 fig assortment was a pretty common during Zi-o and even showed up in build once or twice.

Hey, gang. Just a quick check-in to see how the SO-DO is doing for you during the lockdown.

I mean, first, I hope everyone's doing okay, keeping safe, keeping occupied.

Are you finding time to do SO-DO, though? I've been working through my backlog a little. Some good (FangJoker from Double was nice, ToraUFO from Build is gorgeous), some not so good (every single sticker on my Rocket Panda is peeling off). It's been a tiny bit of self-care, trying to do a SO-DO fig each night before bed. Routines, you know? Normalcy.

What about you? Any old figs you're getting around to building? Or taking some time with your collection, dusting and organizing? Where's SO-DO in your life right now?

I recently got the Zero One AI 05 set from Mandarake and will be slowly working on them. I think I'm gonna take my time on them. Haha. Maybe put together one character a day or something. Started with the Kasshine and the weapons set.

Well my local dealer just got a butload of items, but I can’t really tell if they’re real or not since the listings went up two days ago. Apparently, it included Great Cross-z and various Showa mooks.

I've cracked open Zi-O Wave 1 to build after a few months of doing nothing, and built my boy Zi-O. Thinking about doing a review a day of the ones I already have to give my mind something to do.

Still frustrated that I won't have AI 5 or Killbus for quite some time, thanks to my dorm shutting down it's service desk and putting up a sign that says to have all packages sent return to sender. I checked with Amiami and Mandarake, they'll email me when the packages get back to them and let me give them a new shipping address, but with how slow everything is that'll take quite a while. More frustrated about Killbus than Zero-One, I'd been looking for him for ages, and Die actually helped me find it

I feel like A SO-DO A Day is the perfect pacing. Whenever I've gone a day without doing one, I feel like I'm being lazy, but doing two or more in a day feels too indulgent, almost wasteful in burning through them.

I guess one of the advantages for collectors right now (and speaking for myself, disadvantages for stores) is that it's more difficult for fans to make/justify collectible purchases right now, so things might hang around a little longer. Hopefully you'll get a shot at those figures.

Still, man, that's a bummer. Mandarake's probably got a lot on their plate right now, but they're a good company (at least in my limited experience) and I think they'll help you sort it all out. And, upshot, you will have such a heroic story to tell when you get to show off that Killbus.

It's cute and all, but I'm not entirely sure why it's there when it's not SODO and doesn't even remotely scale with them. I'm frankly very disappointed as well with how it's completely non-articulated, you need to buy a full set of three just for different expressions, and it's Premium Bandai 5720 yen??? But... hey, here it is, I guess.

Hey, I was mostly being sarcastic, I'm not entirely sure why it's there either - maybe for the low low price of 5720 Yen you still get some of the sweet sweet candy.

I wish it was easier to find SODO Zi-o Ride8 easier. At the moment it's very hard to find. When I can find the individual pieces, they're all relatively cheap, except for Cross-Z Evol, which is both incredibly rare and expensive (like 20 bucks just for the two boxes).

Edit: Since I'm complaining about hard to find SODO, man is the Woz Body hard to track down.

I'm surprised the Woz body is that rare, given it got released twice in Ride 7 and 8. I guess people stockpiling it to display all 4 basic Woz forms at once, but still, are the Futurering forms that desirable?

Not just twice, three times, in the waves you mentioned and in Ride 10 for ginga. So yeah it really does seem like people stockpiled to be able to display all the forms at once (which is what I'm trying to do too, so I'm part of the problem)

I completely overlooked Ginga, yeah, that's even more surprising.

As for Wave 8, no idea why that would be so surprisingly popular above all the others. I guess the movie was just that good that everyone wanted it.

The kicker about wave 8 is that if I check on Manda it's only 2500 yen for the set and 800 yen for cross-z, but those rarely come into stock and sell fast when they do.

Rabbit Dragon is really good! Comes with a lot more paint then the average bestmatch set, and includes more stickers, some of which are obviously here because they expect you to keep these two together at all times.

Edit: Okay for the life of me I can't get the image to orient correctly. It appears fine in the place I uploaded it, so I don't know what's up. I even tried pre-rotating it, but that didn't work either.

Oof, it's so pretty. I'm going to have to track that one down for sure. It's fiscally irresponsible for me to order any new SO-DO, which means I'm probably going to order new SO-DO.

I was considering getting more SODO stuff, but certain shipping methods (ie the cheaper ones) are currently unavailable due to COVID so I'll be waiting a good while it seems :(

Today aside from the hunting I did, and the stickering of RabbitDragon, I also found out the peg at the top of the arm for the sodo bases is the same diameter as the whole for a SODO figure's hands.

Here's how I started my morning. I've still got a red geiz body to sticker, the drive armor, wizard genm, drive ex-aid (which I've had basically since they were first released), and one more set of Hell brothers (I have two already made up but need to do combo form)

That's 17600 total which at the current exchange rate is $161.16 total, or about $17.90 per box or about 2.44 per individual box/ [S]4.88 per complete form/character.[/S]
