Here is a random question. What other franchises should Figure-Rise Standard release? Could be metal heroes, sentai, toku Ultraman, or other anime. As a reminder so far we got riders and the Netflix ULTRAMAN show at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Same, would be great if they release them all but I understand because costs and whatnot. Unless they release a sub-category and give us a kit that are smaller but consists of multiple rangers inside(not the whole roster though) per product. Also, seeing DreamSword's recent trek to the Kikaider OVA made me think both the OVA Kikaider and the toku Kikaider would be fun to have as well.

idk why humans from Kamen Riders Franchise and Ultraman Franchise (both the series and the "netflix" one) will be good, rather than using a realistic style human , it uses a anime style human, to distinguish between SHF and FRS.

just imagine FRS Shinjiro Hayata with extra hands for both FRS Ultraman action and the regular one and an opened helmet, FRS Tsukasa Kadoya with a bunch of Rider Card (if FRS Decade only include 5 Rider Cards)

Anime face would be hard to pull off considering Bandai doesn't do well with model kit anime faces. Tho, I'd buy a FRS Izu anyway.

But FRS rider machines tho! That would be so cool and would be able to supply our rider figures with passable rider machines. So, you know, they can actually put to use the "Rider" in their name instead of standing on our shelves.

Also, ngl, they should probably do a FRS Build 2.0. too...

Figure-Rise Mechanics is a thing, and considering they did a great job with Dragon Ball machines, they'd likely do great with Rider Bikes too.

it's basically RG for Figure Rise, with a lot of details, less stickers(?), better articulation, hands parts + optional articulated hands, and of course, it's a harder kit

Sentai FRS would be great for custom kits and making the rest of the team if they only do the red and 6th.

I realy don’t think any FRS needs a 2.0, especially this early. If we got a second Build I would just lament that they didn’t use the resources to make Cross-Z or Agito, or literally anything else

idk, it's just I felt that he looks a bit short and his torso a bit wide that he doesn't fit with the rest of the other kits. But, yeah, I guess a FRS CRoss-Z would be much preferable.

And in the topic of Agito, I wonder how they're going to do the helmet. Would the extra horns at the back flip out, an alternate head, or v-fin?

It would also be cool if they could add his weapons in the box to form Agito trinity.

But that is the thing -- these are issues, sure; they're valid enough complaints... but they're extremely minor?


When SHF does a renewal of a figure, for instance; it's very much the case that a long, long time has passed since the original figure. In that time, SHF's technology has vastly advanced and said time has also shown (if it wasn't obvious in the first place) that these original figures were... not fantastic? A lot of them like W, OOO and Agito were downright awful. These are figures that had horrific proportions, incredibly inaccurate colours and details, a lot of liberties taken with the sculpt to no advantage; etc. So many problems and with a base sculpt that's just not up to standard with a modern action figure, to the extent that even cheaper modern lines like Marvel Legends would arguably outclass them. The fact that certain collectors are replacing their Zyuranger SHFs with the recent Lightning Collection MMPR figures says enough on that matter.


That's... not the case with Build being very, very, very slightly shorter than other FRSes which you'd only actually notice if you specifically had them standing straight shoulder-to-shoulder. It's an excellent kit that if anything sets the standard for the others and got just about everything right the first try, and it should be telling that no-one's said any other flaw besides this. Is it annoying that he's shorter? A little bit, yeah. Does that really, really mean we need an entirely new figure, though? Does that very small imperfection seriously hamper Build so much that it warrants a complete do-over? Because I really don't think so; I think he's more than fine as he is.

Headcanon: Repeated exposure to Nebula Gas has shrunk Sento by 1.3%. Banjou will not let him forget it.

The irony for me is that I've always thought the Build suit was on the bulkier and bigger side compared to other riders, so his slight size difference really stood out to me personally.

But yeah, I'm in the camp of wanting to see more riders before a Build re-do. Although, if Build was ever re-done, I would love to see some effects parts like Faiz and Kabuto.

Tempted to go for FRS Build so I have 3 Builds once the Figuarts re-releases.

...even more tempted to then hunt down a So-Do and BCR so I have all the Builds.

I really hope they release G3. So many people are gonna paint it like Kuuga Mighty which will technically make it G1.

I'm looking closely at the Den-O pictures now that we have actual IRL models to go off of rather than CGI renders, and... barely anything looks like it's a sticker? At best the 'train track' down his back and head looks like it might be, and probably some of the belt as well. But the vast majority of everything here looks like solid pieces, even in places you'd think there'd be stickers.

Yeah, for sure. The way the whole Plat Form/Sword Form gimmick works, they basically have to be molded pieces. The big blocks of color, it's probably easier to mold them in the correct plastic than try and make them work through stickers.

That said! I think anything that's gold is going to be a sticker, as well as the heels on the boots, the silver on the ribs, and some portion of the shoulder pads.

I can see why you might think the gold - it being a difficult colour and all - but all of Kuuga's gold parts were solid pieces; with his only stickers being his eyes, belt and red spots on his knees and stuff! So I think that could easily be the case here

Yupyup! Judging by how few stickers he and W have, and how few I can see on Den-O; I get the feeling that they're gonna make it a standard thing from here on out to minimise stickers as much as possible, unless it's a design that absolutely demands it like the Ex-Aid riders

In the blog, it states that there is only one belt and you have to choose a sticker for the form.

That is annoying and stupid. They give you the separate parts for Plat form, why skimp out on a lousy extra belt buckle?

It's also how they did the Gaia Memory indicator on the W kits. The Gaia Memories can detach, but the indicator on front is a sticker that you apply. They give you a bunch of sticker options besides the basics (LunaJoker, for example), but once you stick it on the Driver, that's it. You can't switch out the indicator for different combos.

Weirdly, Kabuto comes with (if memory serves) 8000 individual buckle combinations.
