I watched GaoRanger episode 7 and I'm totally like GaoBlue, which I say a lot about Sentai blues lol. Which is weird why I am more like KyoryuGreen in Kyoryuger though.

Watched ep 3 and 4 of Go-Busters, loving those mech fights, I hope they keep up the good work.

I'm still liking the story, but I feel that defending the enetron tanks, is going to get boring very fast.

Looking forward to see wtf is wrong with Ryuuji.

All right, so now that I have finished MMPRS3, I think I am going to start watching OhRanger as I managed to get raws of 13-48.

My brother is watching episode 22 of Kyoryuger with me and he just says to me, "knowing Power rangers JDF is gonna be involved in this somehow."

I love how Daigo and the new Megazord have pretty much become besties.

I like JDF but I really hope not. Besides, we have time. We have this year, next year, two years of Go-Busters, then Kyoryuger. Because Nick.. *Headesk*

Daigo is basically Ash Ketchum, he has the respect of legendary creatures, he's an idiot yet still he's a freaking chick magnet.

They even have the same hoodie!

But is Daigo is oblivious to romance like Ash?

Daigo's the main reason I stopped watching Kyoryuger - I cannot fucking stand the guy. I'm really sick of him being so absolutely perfect and the other Kyoryugers existing primarily to be his personal cheer squad.

Ban is pretty much the originator of the "shouty Red" archetype. There've been a few others since then, most notably Jan from Gekiranger. I still think Ban pulled it off best.

Daigo got on my nerves, not for being perfect, but the fact they never did anything to prove it. The show just screaming in my face 'he is perfect' for twenty minutes doesn't count as establishing character.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is not the Ash I know. The one I know had a blue and white shirt.

Switchblade, you should watch episodes 17 and 18 of Kyoryuger, because Grey makes Daigo's perfection a point for why he should not be a ranger.

Those were the last episodes I watched and the ones that sealed it for me. Daigo's flaw is that he's "too perfect" but then he decides that he doesn't want his friends to get hurt, smacks a dude on the head, and Gray joins the "man, you're awesome" club. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

To be fair, Daigo is not the only reason I've given up on Kyoryuger - there's a lot of stuff on the show that didn't work for me, Daigo's just the most biggest problem. I honestly feel a little bad for giving it up (unlike, say, Goseiger), but at the end of the day I watch tokusatsu to be entertained and I didn't find Kyoryuger to be very entertaining.

His quest for perfection and lack of weakness stem from his issues with his father. He's insecure about travelling the path his father laid out for him and doesn't want to disappoint. op he compensates by being the best he possibly can, at everything. I think being "awesome/perfect" can be an interesting weakness. If you never have flaws you never grow, but he does have insecurities so there's room for growth there.

Well I watched the first 6 episodes to OhRanger a little bit ago and either I am distracted because I'm hoping DHL actually delivers my package today or this show is not as good as I once thought it to be.

Started back up watching Boukenger. I'm up to episode 5 now, and the overwhelming thought I had was.. How could they turn this into OO? Boukenger has plot, and characters.. and plot.

Well, it was the lowest rated Sentai series ever until Go-Busters. That unpopularity has to have a cause.

I hope someone else subs Boukenger. I can usually tolerate TV-Nihon if I have to, but their Boukenger subs are just a mess. The grammar is atrocious and QC seems non-existent. I liked what I've seen of it, though, and I really want to watch the full series - just not with these subs.

And probably with fastforwarding through Natsuki scenes. :p

I just finished Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters. That was a fun movie. Same costumes and everything, but Dobutsu Sentai was so whacky. I loved it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that was because of those gas attacks.

With that said, I watched 7-12 and 7-11 were quite enjoyable, but I hate hate HATE episode 12. I have always hated that one because of the stupid baby stuff. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

im making my way through shinkenger again after its initial run on air....i had forgotten how good this show was and how much i miss it =[

aside from that im also slowly making my way through go-busters. which ive never seen.

OhRanger, as I learned from Zeo and Den, was a more serious toned Sentai. More military. Then the Gas Attacks happened and they changed it completely towards a more traditional Sentai series.

Why is the Dekaranger ending song so catchy and Hard Boiled?

Gobusters has the best ending theme out of anything i've ever heard.

Don't worry, they definitely do keep up the good work. It was ones of the strengths of Go-Busters. It never felt like they were trying to shil the new toy like Gokaiger or Kyoryuger. Every mech had it's purpose and none were left behind for a new toy.

Probably because FS-0O was the only "accessory mecha."

Yeah, nice try. Ima Kaze No Naka De trumps all.

Because Go-Busters was so unpopular, the Toei execs now thinks it's wrong to do anything like Go-Busters, including good mecha battles. Ace is one of the best highlights of the show. Ace is still awesome even in the finale...all 3 or 4 of them :p

Because it's Dekaranger and everything about it's awesome.

I'm debating whether I want to watch Shinkenger next or watch PR Samurai. While I enjoyed Shinkenger, half of the series could go without any issue to the plot (god, now I sound like Locke and Split), the villains did nothing but drink and be lazy, I hate Genta with a passion, but most of all, I hated Clusterfuck-Oh. Well, I wasn't a fan of the mecha that much at all, as I thought the origami thing was dumb, but the overload of mecha on top of mecha was ridiculous. On the other hand, I thought Juuzo was awesome and the ranger cast (sans Genta) was amazingly solid. They all had great chemistry with each other. I doubt PRS will have the same, but I do want to at least watch the series once.

The only thing Samurai will do is make you appreciate Shinkenger more. Samurai is nothing but Shinkenger verbatim with the only changes being bad acting (The worst of Power Rangers), unfunny Bulk and Spike scenes, and a butchered back stories for Juzo and Dayu. Also, the actor who played Samurai Gold based his performance off of Genta's performance, so you'd hate him anyways. If you've seen Shinkenger, you have no reason to ever watch Samurai unless you just want to watch ever PR episode ever.

...I actually enjoyed what i watched of Samurai.

And I'm actually enjoying Operation Overdrive.

Well that is just it, I do want to see every PR series some day like I would love to do with every Sentai and KR series.

If you watch Shinkenger, my advice is to watch the first fifteen or so episodes, then jump all the way to the last five. The middle section of Shinkenger is so bloated and it just feels looooong and so boring.

There's never a good reason for watching Samurai.

I forced myself through Operation Overdrive, Samurai, and Super Samurai precisely for that reason. I only ran into trouble with Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (especially when you consider the fact that I'm still on episode 2).

Besides, I will argue that Super Samurai has the best Red Ranger in Power Rangers history in the form of Lauren, so there is that.
