Well Metalder's villain armies was an interesting way to do villains. A pity that the Ordnance Army (the military vehicles) didn't get to do much other than provide back-up and save the occasional puppy (and get blown up by a landmine in the process).

Should they bring back Human Villains for Super Sentai?

Recent Super Sentai Villains has become very stale. They end up becoming a generic doomsday villain with a lazy motivation. I thought it would be very refresh if they bring back the concept of Human Antagonists.

Kamen Rider W, Fourze and even Drive have Human Antagonists and they're more interesting and more threatening than Super Sentai Villains.

Black Cross Army which was First Super Sentai Villain Group have their monster of the week which happens to be a human test subject who turn into a cyborg! Sound like Super Sentai's answer to Kamen Rider's Shocker?

I know Super Sentai is a kid show but I mean Disney Movies have Gaston, Jafar and Dr. Facilier and they're HUMANS and yet they are bad guys! Not all Kid show villain have to be MONSTERS! Humans can be bad guys too!

But not on weekend mornings. Rider and Sentai used to air on weekday nights. The question was whether the schedule could change. Precedent says yes, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

No they weren't. Sentai and Rider never aired back to back until Kuuga/Timeranger. Metal Heroes aired with Sentai from around 93 to the end of its run, but before that there was never any sort of superhero show block.

Because there's always been a kids' TV block running during that time slot. Super Hero Time took over that slot in 2003.

Yeah, there's no mention of a superhero block before 1997 on the Japanese Wiki. Superhero shows have aired in that timeslot in the past, yeah, but that doesn't mean it always some sort of block.

Prior to that it seems that they just aired it without any fancy titles and then 2003 hit and you know the rest.

Goranger episode 1 ~ Turboranger episode 31 were on Saturday afternoon(some during early evening)
Turboranger episode 32 ~ Megaranger episode 7 were on Friday afternoon
Megaranger episode 8 and onwards were on Sunday morning as we know

Most Recent Super Sentai Villains are NOT great and they are same old villain with a lazy motivation of destroyed the earth for NO Good Reason.

They got a same treatment as MCU Villains! They both suck! I think Kamen Rider's Villains are more interesting and more threatening than Super Sentai's Villains!

If you watch Old School Super Sentai, Most of Villains are HUMAN! They are NOT Monster Suit Villains! Toei should save their money by having Villains being portrayed as Humans than Monster Suits! Watch Jetman?

Humans can be BAD GUYS TOO! Watch Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Princess and the Frog? All of them were Disney Movie and their villains are HUMANS!!!

Sentai villains are always hit or miss. Most Sentai villains, regardless of era, have kind of been destroy/conquer the world. It's not just a recent thing. Riders do tend to have more interesting villains, but that's because they usually share a connection with the villain, rather than being the response team Sentai is.

As for human vs monster villains, eh, maybe it's what they want to do.

No they aren't. The Dethgalians are like that and you've just tarred everyone else with the same brush. As Matrixbeast said Sentai has always had "destroy/conquer the world" kind of villains, but most have had a reason to do so whether its flimsy or not.

And the fact the Dethgalians have no motivation IS THE WHOLE POINT. It's less about them having motivation and more about the fact Genus has absolutely no regard for any other lifeform and views their suffering as a game for his amusement.

Not to mention that villains who destroy for the sake of destruction can still be interesting, if their presentation is good.

I just kind of wish we could get more on Genis. He's pretty bland in comparison to Kubar and Bunglay since they're making him a bit too mysterious. Unless he really is just

I'm hardly the most qualified person to answer this but the word in question is ばりばり/bari bari in the Japanese. It's Bunglay's obligatory Sentai villain speech-tic and it's an onomatopoeia that can also mean "energetic/vigorous" as a noun or adverb, so "crackin'' isn't actually a bad translation for it.

Myself I want to see the basic pistols make a comeback, specifically the ones that break apart to be a sword and a buckler-esque small shield used by Changeman and Flashman.

You know, I've always suspected that there was some gay subtext going on with Kazu/Kirinranger from Dairanger. He's depicted as sophisticated, handsome, sensitive, fashionable, and well-groomed; he's a women's hairstylist with a penchant for dancing who ran away from his repressive country family at the age of 15 to try to make it in the big city; and despite there being ladies who are really into him, he never responds to their attention. He also helped Kameo come to terms with his "identity issues" after discovering he was really Daimugen.

Like, it's never explicitly called out, but the character possesses a lot of the classic elements of the queer narrative. Dairanger also came out around the same time Toei was experimenting with gay romance over on Sailor Moon. So... I don't think it's that big of a stretch to draw certain conclusions.

Disclaimer: As a gay man in his 30s, I'm admittedly quite accustomed to searching for queer representation where it may not actually exist... :lol

I'm really liking it. The cast plays well of eachother (even if there is definitely a bit too much focus on Misao as of late), the plots are fun, the villains actually do somethig before the last few episodes besides "Send MOTW", and the designs have realy grown on me.

I like it. It's the first Sentai since I've followed as it aired since Kyoryuger, and it's the first Sentai I've followed as it aired since Gokaiger that I actually enjoy :lol
